Here are the deals happening this week at Safeway! Prices are valid 8/1 – 8/7 unless otherwise stated.

This week at Safeway spend $40.00 on any Huggies products and get $10.00 off instantly at checkout! If you buy $40 or more in itunes gift cards, you will receive a $10 Catalina towards your next shopping trip. The Clean Up and Save promotion is still going on at Safeway, so it’s a great time to stock up on cleaning supplies!

This week, in some areas, there is a doubler in the ad that allows you to double up to 4 coupons! The face value of the coupon (before doubling) must be $0.50 or less. This is limited to one doubler per transaction per household per week. That means you can only double 4 coupons during the entire sales week. (The doubler is a coupon found on the front page of the ad. This is a regional coupon and will not be available in all areas.)

My Safeway in Maryland is printing a $3.00 off your next order catalina when you purchase 1 Fiber One Nutty Delights. They are $2.69 at my store, and use the $.70/1 printable. It’s a $1.01 money maker! I am not sure when it ends. Also, the Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser refill are BOGO (normally $3.99 each), combine that with the buy one, get free starter kit coupons in the paper yesterday and you can get 2 refills and a starter kit for $3.99 total.

  2. Does anyone know if we can double up the frozen items and the MDA promotion? Morningstar Farms is a frozen item, so if I had 6 of them at $3.50, costing $21, would that qualify for both the $5 q on $15 frozen and the $5 q on $20 for MDA? If so, combined with the RP 8/5 $.75/1, that would be only $6.50 for all 6!!

  3. Anonymous says:

does anyone know if the $5 off $15 frozen items are dependent on the card or the in ad coupon? If I had 2 of the in ad coupon and did 2 transaction with the same Safeway card would it still take off $5 on my 2nd transaction? Coupon only states  “Limit one coupon per customer”
Also, on the Kellog’s deal, does the $4 catalina apply to ANY flavor of Kellogs cereals?

    Bissel carpet cleaner is B1G1, $649 – $1Q= $2.75ea(crazy NorCal prices).
Welches squeeze strawberry reduced for quick sale $1.89-.35Q=$1.54ea, cheaper than pantry essentials per ounce.
    Mt. Olive B1G1 pickles$2.99-.75Q=$1.12each!!! Woot

  5. SarahR says:

My MD Safeway is still doubling coupons as of today.  So I am assuming the stores in the DC metro area will still be doubling for now.  (Fingers crossed…lol)

  6. Jane says:

OK ladies – it’s time to stock up on your cereal!  Kelloggs cereals are $1.88/each – buy 4 and get a $4 catalina!  use your $1 off of 2 coupon..makes them only .38c each…if you are lucky enough to have doublers – well FREE FOR YOU!

    • Jane says:

Also…lots of boxes have codes in them for a free movie ticket!  So, be sure to look for the specially marked boxes:)

    • washingtongirl says:

Thanks Jane for the tip!  What a great deal!  I tried this today and the Catalina rolled, too.

    • Anonymous says:

does this apply to ANY Kellogs brand cereals?

      • Jane says:

Kleekris…sorry I could not reply earlier…the website wasn’t working for me.  I believe the cat is printing for any Kelloggs cereals.  The best deal is for the 1.88 ones..I just redeemed mine for a movie code this evening too and was surprised to see all the participating theatres (as I live in a small MT town)!  Not sure in regards to your question below although I think that it is per transacation, although it is really up to the individual store.  You are best to go when they are not so busy and get a friendly cashier:)  Goodluck!

  7. Jane says:

KCL…I hear rumor of an AMAZING Kelloggs catalina going on this week!  Do you have a breakdown yet?

    • ColdNovember85 says:

I received a catalina for Kellogs a wk or 2 ago after buying a bunch of cereal! I plan on using it tomorrow :)

  8. OvenMitt says:

If you still have the most recent Moments to Save circular (maybe early July?), then you can get cheaper prices on many of the snack items on sale this week. Cheetos, Fritos, Kettle cooked chips, Sun Chips, Doritos, Ball Park franks, just off the top of my head. Sorry I don’t know the exact date on this circular, but seasoned couponers know the one I’m referring to, I’m sure! Most of the coupons expire 8/11, so they will be valid for this week’s sales! Good luck ;)

  9. jane says:

SWEET BISCUITS…or sweet cheese rather:)  Did you all print your $3.00 off of 1 precious string cheese last week???  The B1G1 deal combined with this coupon will make them FREE!!!  YIPPEE!!

  10. IG says:

I could swear that I printed a coupon the other day for the Cokes that are on sale. It was for 20-pack or 24-pack, I think.  Does anyone have this coupon????

    • Anonymous says:

Are you sure you’re not thinking of the one that came in the Sunday paper a couple weeks back?

      • IG says:

As usual, we didn’t get the coupon that was in the 7-15-12 S.S. insert.  I already checked.  The coupon I printed was from an Olympics promo website–ezprize.  It may be a Kroger coupon but I’m not sure.  I remember printing the coupon for the Coke but there are 2 other offers on the website as well…Coke and Keebler, and Kellogg’s and Fuze.  Can I post the link here??

        • IG says:

I’m going to look for the coupon when I get a chance.  I have printed so many coupons in the last 2 days that I’m drowning!!!  Is there a best coupon printer???  Brother laser??  Samsung??  Both have cheap lasers but the key thing is the cost of the ink/toner.

          • SarahR says:

I have a Brother  HL 2140 for coupons and it is great.  You can tape the sensors on the cartridge to make it last much longer.  I purchased a no name refill on ebay and it works without any issues.  The ink lasts forever.  The coupons also scan easier when printed on a laser vs inkjet printer.

            • IG says:

Thanks for the tip.  I have seen the Brother on sale before.  As with anything, there are some that say that the Brother is great and some that say that it’s lousy.  The key thing is the availability of cheap ink. My brother has a Samsung that he likes.  He’s not a couponer. I don’t think there’s cheap ink for the Samsung but I’m not positive about that.

        • Anonymous says:

Sorry you didn’t get the coupon in the paper.  I hate it when that happens to me. I’m not sure about an official policy, but I’ve seen, and appreciated, when others posted links to coupons so I don’t know why you can’t. :)

  11. Michellzey says:

    there’s a $10/$75 q in Tues. Oregonian, at least in McMinnville,OR area…

  12. Yaret says:

FYI all of Southern Cali Vons will no linger be DOUBLING COUPONS!! They will only be accepting the face value of coupons as of Aug. 1,2012. They are changing their coupon policy!! So upset!!

    • Deborahweiss81 says:

      WHHHHAAAAATTTTT !!!! NOOOOO , Ugh !

    • Anonymous says:

We heard the news too and it is too bad.  There was a post written a few days ago about some of the info we have learned so far if you want to check it out.  There will still be great deals to find with sales and coupons but it is unfortunate they have decided to do this.
