I hope someone reads this so I can get an answer, I’m a newbie here! @RiteAid, when there’s a promotion that says buy $30, get $10 UP rewards, and one of the items you can buy towards the promotion has a BOGO free, does the free item count towards the $30 you need to buy, or just the item you paid for? Thanks!

  2. alalee says:

At walgreens, how do you use register rewards at the register on an item you already bought? In a youtube vid, Heather said that she got some items for free at the register because she used the register rewards coupon, but I don’t get how you can use it on something you just bought? Help!!

  3. Maqueli Eldredge says:

What is the policy to double coupons at Safeway? KLC you mentioned doubl’r on the Fiber One Chewy bars, what do you mean with that?

  4. YaYa says:

My Rite-Aid wouldn’t give me the reward on softsoap since it was .03 short of $12.00.  If i hadn’t been short on the stuff i would have made them take it back.

I have a question, how can I get the $10.00 ECB when spending $30.00 in
p&g products?must the total spending be before coupons and
discounts or after? thank you ladies.

I went to CVS bought four Hershey’s Snack Size Bars, 6 pk $0.99 used two $1.00/2 Hershey’s Milk Chocolate from SS 6/24 (exp 8/12)$1.98 oop, received $1.00 extra buck.
Final price $.25 each.  Thanks for all the money saving advice.

I had a time with the fixodent deal at CVS this evening. I bought two of the 1.4 ounce tubes, for which neither produced ECB’s. As well, the cashier would not take the coupons for the items, as the coupon states it is for the 1.5 ounce or above. I returned those tubes and bought the 2.2 ounce tubes, also without producing ECB’s. The cashier did give me a refund for this second transaction, after making my husband and I wait for twenty minutes, but would not give my coupons back for the two items. What a fiasco. Such trouble to find items for elderly grandparents. This was a true disappointment.

  9. I found a couple varieties of stride/trident on clearance at my local Rite Aid for 75% off, so I picked up 6 of each. They rang up at retail minus wellness gold 20% discount, so the cashier manually entered the 75% off on top of my 20% and I used a RA VV for $0.25 off, so I got 12 packs of gum for $0.53 and received $4 in +up rewards! $3.47 MM for me. :-) I know clearance varies by store, but keep on the lookout at your local RA because the +ups still print. I just started couponing last week and have been getting so many great deals & freebies, I can’t believe it. Trying not to think about how much I could have saved over the years because it’s depressing. Lol.

Hello I would like to know how often it Albertsons doubles coupons and what is the limit. I’m from Ontario Oregon, and if I am beginner as coupons. Thanks for your help and I love your page I hope someday to be like you.

  11. Liz says:

Went to walgreens to do the carmex deal. When the RR didn’t print the manager told me that the RR’s did not print if I used a coupon when purchasing an item. That the “manufacturer coupon cancelled out the RR” Has anyone ever heard of this???

    • Anonymous says:

They say it all the time. Not true. My daughter and I each used a Carmex peelie and got the RR. Will do it again today. Make sure you have the right one. The manager can ring it without the coupon and cancell the sale to get you the RR.

We have 3 walgreens where I live & they were all out of the BIC pens when I started shopping at 2pm :(

  13. blender21 says:

Target also has RoseArt on sale for .49 cents each and you get a free pack of crayons too There is a coupon in last sundays newpaper 7/29 for 1.00 off 3 RoseArt items, then you get 3 pack of either colored pencils or markers for .47 cents and you get 3 boxes of crayons too. great for back to school get there early. I missed out on the crayons they were all out and there is a sign that says no rain checks bummer. I at least got my 2 packs of color pencils and 1 pack of markers for only .47 cents.

  14. Kim Cracraft says:

the Gillette fusion shave gels were $4.99 at my CVS not $2.99

    • Anonymous says:

Mine as well. I was informed that the smaller sized bottles, the ones I assumed were travel-sized, are actually not considered travel-sized as they are on the shaving aisle and not the travel aisle, and so my coupons went for these items.

  15. Deanna says:

Had a nice experience at Walgreens.  They had no bic 10-pack pens.  They allowed a papermate substitution – asked me which ones I wanted to substitute.  I chose the least expensive ones and they even honored the bic coupon. 20 pens free, not the ones I planned on, but still works.

  16. Nikki says:

Just got back from a Walgreens trip as I went specifically for the BIC Crastal Bold pens that should be free.  I was unable to use my $1/2 any BIC Stationary Items coupon along with the in-store $.49 per pack.  As I’m not feeling well today & thus didn’t want to call a manager over, I went ahead & paid the $1.05 for the two packs I got.  The computer message said the coupon had been disabled?  Any tips or tricks for being able to get it to work without problems?  It seems others have been able to get it to work just fine.

    • Debbie F says:

My cashier told me I needed to buy another item to get the coupon to work…didn’t make sense to me, and I mentioned to her that usually they adjust the coupon down and she said …. NO….so I bought a 10 pack of Papermate pens for $ .39 – no coupon needed – it’s on the back of the very last (small) page of the circular. These pens did ring at $1.59 though, so they had to fix that for me. I did this transaction 3 times. Each one was $ .47 so I figure for $1.41 and getting 9 packs of pens was not too bad of a deal. I still have more coupons left so I will hit another Walgreens if I am abble or try to price match at Walmart if they have those same pens.

  17. Anonymous says:

Yes I too discovered the CVS Fusion shave gel problem, and they have the smaller $2.49 cans marked “trial size”, which cannot be used per the coupon fine print. Drat. Oh well I ended up getting 9 (LOL yes 9 it’s my favorite and It’ll stock me up for the year) 3 minute miracles and 3 Puffs. Make sure on the Puffs you get the 124ct it was pretty confusing and I ended up getting the wrong ones and had to exchange them.

  18. Empiregrl5 says:

at cvs….i think the fixodent producing extrabucks are the double packs, which usually run $8-9, the ad states multipacks and this is the usual deal they run….if the single packs work, that would be great though!

  19. Sarah says:

If you were to get 6 dove hair products and use 1 more $3/2 coupon it would be the exact same price as above..

    • Anonymous says:

The coupon states limit of 2 coupons.

    • Anonymous says:

But you could split into separate transactions and get 6.  Actually the Dove deal is a month long deal, so if you really need the Dove shampoo/conditioner, you could do multiple transactions with 4 items/ 2 coupons per transaction.

  20. CaliLady says:

I went to Walgreens today for the free bic pens. And the coupon did not pass so i did not get them free. So i didn’t want to buy them no more. But i read their coupon policy and it says they should just get the coupon still. I’m sad i wanted to get more pens around the house since i always loose them.

    • Anonymous says:

Is there another Walgreens you can go to where they would be more helpful?  Or maybe you can try another time when the cashier that didn’t help you today isn’t there…  :-/

  21. I went to CVS to do the Aussie/Herbal Essences/Gillette deal. The shaving gel is included in the $10 EB wyb $30 deal, but it was marked regular price ($4.99) on the shelf tag. I even price checked it on the magic coupon machine. When I looked more closely at the CVS ad, it states that Gillette stuff has “prices starting at $2.99.” Rats. I’ll need to rethink this deal.

    • Anonymous says:

Karen: At my CVS the only one that was ringing up for 2.99 was the plain bottle of Gillette. Not even the one in the picture. So I ended up getting 3 bottles of Gillette gel for 4.79. I didnt think about switching the last 4.79 one out for a 2.99 one. But the manager wouldn’t let me get the fusion or proglide one for 2.99. After coupons and $7 ECB it came out to $12.

    • Ramirezm06 says:

Same here.  I only ended up getting 2 cans of the 4.99 stuff (husband really needed something to shave) to go towards my 30.  I had other bucks and stuff so I just bought him something so he could shave.

    • Anonymous says:

Maybe you can wait till Thursday when they send emails with % off Qs…  Well, if they send them this week…  If they are rregularly priced, it would really help to lower your OOP…  I still haven’t used mine from last week, so I might use them because I need $12.09 to reach the $30 and get the $10 ECBs…

    • courtingcouponing says:

Instead of getting the shave gel, would it work to get 10 Aussie/Herbal Essences items but split it into 2 trips (since the coupon stipulates only 4 per trip?) So get ten items at $2.99 each. Use five $3/2 coupons. (Plus i plan to use 2 or 3 coupons from the cvs coupon machine.)

  22. Lshafer30 says:

the rite aid deal on soap will not work since rite aid no longer rounds up for the up reward.

  23. Kim_gaziano says:

At Rite Aid & Walgreens, I saw if you bought the tampons you could get a $10 free iTunes gift card.  Neither sales circular had that offer and I did not receive the gift card at time of purchase.  Is there something that I need to do?  Please advise.

Will the coupon 1.00/2 Bic cristal pens coupon beep at the register and have to be adjusted? My wags isn’t always the friendliest (or most educated on coupon use) and I want to be ready to explain to them if does. Thanks

    • Maddytrip says:

      it should automatically adjust down

    • Maryemnick says:

it usually helps if you use the manufacturer coupon first and then at the end give them the coupon from the ad…..at least it works at my walgreens…they are not the most helpful either, they always act like im stealing from them

    • Paradox Love says:

I just went to Walgreens this morning and used this as my very FIRST coupon deal EVER! :D :D  And the lady at the register told me it wouldn’t work on her machine and got a little mad at me and had to call the manager and the manager told her to manually adjust it down to 98cents for their machine to process it properly! So it did work for me eventually! :) Good luck!!!

      • Anonymous says:

Nice!  Those first few shopping trips – especially at Wags – can be a little stressful.  congrats!

             KLC,

I’m so sorry for butting in like this, but may I ask your advice? Is there a scenario that would work for the Olay Products at Rite Aid with the BOGO Coupons, or should I wait and see if CVS has another sale?

I have a M&M’s Q I found at a store for 1.00/2 bags, can I use the 1.00/2 with the FREE bag of M&M’s snack mix WYB 2 M&M’s? They are both MRF.

    • Kim_gaziano says:

Yes you can.  I did that this morning with the M&M’s.  At CVS you can also get a free M&M bowl (my store ran out before noon but they said I can go back later this week).  A free bag of candy and a free bowl..thats a fun deal!

      • blender21 says:

I agree why waste the coupon at Target when you can not only get the M&Ms for 5.00 each and get the free bag but you get the free bowl too

      • Anonymous says:

Thanks, I didn’t want to use to many coupons at once.
