Our Office Max did not have many of the deals listed.  The pencils were $7, the erasers were $1, the highlighters $4 and no $0.25 folders.  What a dissapointing trip for me, I was so looking forward to all of that!!

  2. Kristengreen3 says:

Why didn’t my Office Max have the $2.00 for 72 pencils deal? It ruined my plan!

  3. Edith Chaves says:

just had a question, i have a couple of the $1 off 2 BIC products coupons and at my staples the 2 pk’s are on sale for .25 like mentioned above BUT, i have never seen anyone use coupons there, do they allow coupons?

…. i looked all over the ad for something that said they accept man. coupons but it doesn’t say and i searched the Staples website and it says “Staples does not accept competitor, manufacturer or any other third party coupons.” but how was KCL able to use it?

  4. AB64 says:

I’ve mentioned this before, but trying again. Any way we could get a “featured link” so we can find the info much faster? It keeps getting buried here in the extreme couponing list. Maybe on the side under the featured video??

  5. R_korns says:

My son watches your video’s with me. When we go to the store he will remind me, or pick stuff up and say “you need this it was in the video” LOVE IT. Thank you for all you do ladies!!

I have been to two Walgreens, they are not taking the $1/2 coupon, they have a block on the computers. At first the manager said they could not adjust down it was fraud, then I pointed to the policy, then he said it says on the coupon that it “cannot be combined with any other offer” and he said that meant store coupon. Should I call corporate? I am confused.

  7. Anastasia says:

Also I want to mention that when you do a survey from office max you get a $5 off $25 purchase and they price match so I bought a $19 item for $4 because it is on sale at office depot.

  8. why does the markers under Staples say please buy 8 of these?

  9. The Smartest Fish says:

Love the videos ladies! I hope we find sales on our must needed big binders! I have had the worst luck with binders, they always come apart when I shop, the sheet protectors slide off the ring and get stuck when I have flat out on my desk. And since I organize by date, you know what I mean. I have gone through 2 Avery Heavy duty 4″ binders in less than a year-_-

  10. terisa says:

I live in oklahoma so just letting you know what region. At office max, the store ad didnt have schoolio poly binders for .25 and the sharpie highlighers for 1.00. I was kind of disappointed…. Then I went to Staples and I was trying to get the pilot highlighers for free with the coupon but they said since the coupon says not available with any offers, i couldnt use it. Is this correct? Has anyone had this problem?

  11. DawnB says:

If anyone buys any crayola you might want to try and get a ad from your local toysrus or at least get a copy from your local paper or something.

Because from 8/5-8/11 toysrus is having a great sale buy one get one free.

So wat I did at my local wal-mart was found the cheapest crayola items from walgreens, famioly dollar and other stores and ad matched at walmart and then got a second of each item free.I got (FREE Crayola color pencils-FREE Crayola Extreme Markers ultra-bright colors) and a few other things.
The women at customer service made a mistake on my Extreme markers though she rang them up as the same price as the .99 cent color pencils so I got one pack for .99 and one pack free. The pack was originally 2.47 each.So I saved a 1.47 with her error and I even told her about it and she told me it was for the markers and pencils. But the markers was a different name brand and she would not double check it.I also used a coupon from my local Officemax it was for Sharpie Accent assorted liquid pen-style highlighters 5-pack.Originally 7.00 I got them for 1.00.

The women at the register told me since wal-mart charges less for them originally they would not match that coupon. So I said ok no problem and walked straight to the customer service and asked if they would or not.The same women who messed up with the markers said yes as long as the store has the same things. They did and the price was a little over 5.00 but she still matched it for me.

So I got 1 pack of 7.00 hightlighters for 1.00 saved 6.I got a licensed folder for me sister for .50 cents was .75 saved .25 cents.I also got myself a pack of .99 cent color pencils from crayola and one for my sister which was free.I also got myself 1 package of the extreme markers for .99 cents and got one for my sister for free.Plus I bought 2 elmers glue sticks for .25 cents each and got 1 free.for matching a ad.I also bought some pens packs for under 1.00 and got some for free also.

I went to wal-mart with only 13.00 bought 2 soda one for me one for sis and that was 3.00 and still left the store with a little over 1.30 so I know I spent less then 10.00 for school supplies. But with the price of the highlighters and extreme markers.I would have been over the 10.00 without coupons or ad matching. So it really dose save to ad match and still use coupons even if they are for a different store.

So good luck to all the school supply shoppers.

Our Walgreens is only allowing the Bic Cristal BOLD as shown on the IAQ. Are other locations allowing the regular black pens as shown in the video? Thanks so much for these weekly videos! School shopping for 4 high schoolers has become much more affordable.

Good luck finding most of the items that are on sale for an awesome price.  I went to several Staples locations and a couple of Office Max stores just to find a few of the items that are in the ad this week (and mentioned above).  I went to Target on Monday (day after the sale started), and they were already out of the Rose Art crayons and had only a few of the markers and color pencils left.

Be sure to not waste any time this week to go shopping if you plan on getting any of the deals.  Target told me they would not be re-stocking before the sale ended, as it was a “while supplies last” sale.  :-(

  15. Heidi says:

Love the school supply deals this year.  I’ve spent maybe $20 (I have 4 kids) and I could probably supply enough school supplies for 20 kids.  Our primary school will be thrilled with my donation of all my extras!  Yesterday I boxed up everything because it was taking over our home:)

  16. KristinH says:

I held on to my (4) RoseArt Coupon and got 8 boxes of 24 crayons, 4 boxes of 10 markers and 4 boxes of 12 colored pencils  for free. I made sure I bought it on VA’s tax free weekend and used my Target card for 5%. WOOP WOOP!

  17. Nadine says:

I love these videos! This week, other than the free composition books, our office max deals were completely different for some reason. I am in Texas. Keep the videos coming. They are so fun!

Sometimes they do differ from region to region, so it’s a good idea to double check your area’s ad (like you did) before you head out.

You girls look like you have a lot of fun saving!

  19. Mrs Claire says:

do you (or anyone) have any tips about saving at the uniform store? my son’s school requires that we MUST buy his uniform at flynn and o’hara.  any ideas about how to save there? thank you so much for all you do, i am totally obsessed with your website and book!
