Return Q: (i posted in Rite aid, but wonder how wrks at cvs too…) I bought 2 items, no coupons used but a 3, 4 and 5 +Up Rewards used to pay for essentially all of it and +Up Reward of $4 recd for one of the items purchased. How would the return work for both items?

I am new to couponing, so am curious how does returns wrk at cvs and Walgreens too?

    1. Anonymous

It’s going to vary quite a bit, based on store, cashier, etc. And unless it’s specifically addressed in a policy, it’s hard to say. At CVS, they will usually give you a CVS gift card for the coupon and EB amount.

      1. Anonymous

Thanks KCL and GenneP! I went to rite aid today and everything was put back on my credit card, no problem. No mgr override was needed, though the cashier said sometimes he does need approval. Also, he was so nice, he said its better not o scan your rewards card so I do not lose any pts :)

    2. Genne P.

Like Krazy said, it really does depend on the cashier.  One time I returned something that I bought online for $15 and they gave me a CVS gift card.  Another time I returned $50 worth of stuff after I got home and figured out it wasn’t as good a deal as I thought and they put it all back on my debit card and let me keep the ECBs that I got with the deal.

Could someone give a detailed example of the Olay deal for the $10 Olay rebate & the $5 EB reward when spending $25?  I’m a little confused since the sale is buy one get one 50% off, and the coupon is buy one Olay facials item get one body bar/wash free.  Is the free item from the P&G coupon a separate item from the 50% off item, and then how would this look on your receipt for the Olay rebate, would all 3 items, the full price, the 50% off, and the free item show on the receipt & count toward the $30 for the rebate?

    1. Anonymous

On the rebate, you would count the sale price. So, full price for one, half price for the other. As for how the coupon applies–generally, the “free” item will be the full price one. But that isn’t always the case and you will definitely get cashiers who don’t agree with that. However, if they are giving you the 50% off one for free, be sure they write on the coupon the adjusted price. They ARE getting reimbursed for the full priced one if they don’t.

I have a question about the Centrum Pro Nutrients deal: I have 2 $5.00/1 and they are B1G150%  I also have a $4.00/1 from the MCM. Can I use the $4.00/1 as well?

    1. Maria

      yes

      1. Jessica

         Thank you Maria!

    2. Anonymous

Yep! You can stack manufacturer coupons with CVS coupons :)

  7. mary

Does somebody ha the link to get the rebate for of the $5 when you buy $25 in PG products

    1. Maria

mary, KCL has in on the slider, click on the New Pg rebate. She has herbal essences stuff pictured

    2.  I too have not found this rebate form on CVS’s website. You would think there would be a link directly on their homepage, but I have looked and used the search engine but no such page found. A bit frustrating.

      1. Anonymous

Just type ” PG Rebate ” in the KCL’s Search window, and you will find the link there.  Look under the Aug 8 tag on the page.

    3. Anonymous

Just type ” PG Rebate ” in the KCL’s Search window, and you will find the link there. Look under the Aug 8 tag on the page.

      1. im a bit confused… so on the CVS circular it says get $5 ExtraBucks + a $5 rebate see cvs.com for details.
to me this means that CVS has its own rebate for these P&G products, but i cant find a link to this rebate. And now im starting to think that the rebate CVS is advertising in their weekly ad is the P&G one, im a right??

      2. Anonymous

The link to the rebate can be found on their website, but it’s hard to find. However, it is the same rebate that you can get directly from PG. We have the form linked above in the matchups: ” Spend $25.00 on PG Products, Receive a $5.00 Rebate”

U know u r a KCL when… My husband says when I go couponing, I’m going to see my other boyfriend… Lol!

    1. Poolside1

That’s to funny! I like your screen name, as I am also a gardner, of course in the sun. My husband meets me at my truck w/ the dog and waits to see all the deals I got that day. I am waiting for him to tell me that I am getting too carried away, but not yet! lol

    2. Anonymous

I’ve already been through that with my husband and two sons.  They thought Mom had a boyfriend at Walgreens.  Too funny!

  9. Tygerchick

I scanned my card and got a $5 off $15 on cosmetics coupon. There was also an Extra Bucks offer for $3 in EB when you spend $10 on Sally Hansen products, and I had loaded a 30% off coupon from an email to my card. I bought two of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail “stickers” for around $9.98 each. I got two of the $3 EBs (total of $6) and with the discounts I paid around $11. So, cost me $5 for $20 worth of products.

Can I get some opinions on if this scenario is a good deal:
    6 Wisk Detergents, $4.99
    use 6 $2 off coupons, pay $17.94
Receive $10 ECB, total price $7.94, or $1.32 per bottle. Thanks!

    1. Maigraham

Yes, I was thinking the same thing but make sure that the $2 coupons are used properly.  Some coupons limit you to using only 4 same coupons per transaction so you may have to buy 4 Wisk, use 4 coupons, then purchase another 2 Wisk and use 2 coupons.  Good luck! And dont forget you can use any ExtraBucks that you have and any other CVS coupons like the $4/$20 purchase if you received it in your email or from Red Magic Coupon Machine:)

    2. Anonymous

KCL posts it as a 3 month stock-up price. I guess that means that you might be able to find better but if you need laundry detergent, I think it’s a good deal.

    3. courtingcouponing

I would do this if I were running low on detergent and needed some soon.

    4. Mom on a budget

Is there any restrictions on the Wisk coupon to how many you can use at once? If not I don’t see why this deal wouldn’t work.

      1. Anonymous

I haven’t seen this coupon yet so I’m not sure of restrictions. But we don’t write deals with more than 4 like coupons. Multiple trips would work!

      2. why is it that they restrict you to 4 cpns on same trip? whats the purpose of that? thanks.

      3. Anonymous

Some coupons don’t. However, we do limit our deal-writing to 4 LIKE coupons per trip. It is just part of our goal to teach “considerate couponing” and discourage shelf-clearing :) Hope that helps!

      4. Anonymous

I’m all for considerate coupononing! There is nothing worse than showing up to an empty shelf. My CVS is always great with deals like this, and when I went in to buy the wisk they had a huge endcap full of them!

      5. Anonymous

The CVS in my area (california) has Wisk for $4.77 each.  I had to buy 7 in order to make it to $30.  I then handed the clerk 7 of the Wisk coupons, and he took them with no problems.  I spent 22.31 (tax included) and got the $10.00 EB on my receipt, so in reality I ended up only paying 12.31 for 7 bottles of Wisk.  Great deal!!
BTW The coupon itself reads: “Limit one coupon per purchase” so as long as you buy 7, you can use 7 coupons I guess. I did.

      6. Anonymous

Yes, you certainly can if there are no restrictions on the coupon itself. We just limit our deals to 4 Like coupons in the interest of teaching considerate couponing. Glad you did well!

  11. Canes1999

anyone have a good scenario on using the 30% off coupon to get some good deals or even some ECB deals using it?

    1. Kylie

Revlon, physicians formula and crest mouthwash are all regular prices with extra bucks! HTH! :)

      1. do u know if he poise wash/poise towelettes that are $3.99 are at a sale price or regular price? Is cause I have a 30% off q too. Thanks

      2.  I got them today and it was a sale price.

  12. College_couponer12

wouldn’t the microwavable Barilla Pasta coupons make them only .77 this week?

    1. Anonymous

The price seems to vary from $1.77, $1.99, and $2.00. Good deal :)

  13. Anonymous

For the life of me I can’t seem to figure out how the % off coupons work.  The MCM gave me the 5 off $15 cosmetics coupon today and I have a 30% off coupon.  Will my total need to be $15 before or after the 30% discount.  What about when an item earns ECB? (I do know that 30% off only works on none sale priced items.)

    1. Your total needs to be $15 BEFORE the %-off coupon. Too answer you 2nd question.. if an item is at regular price and produces a ECB, than the 30% can be used. The Physicians Formula deal this week is a good example of a deal that would work with this coupon.

Another thing to keep in mind is purchase based coupons ( like the -$5/$15 you have ) will reduce the amount of savings you will get with the %-off coupon. Instead of getting 30% off $15 you will only get the %-off $10. Beauty-Club & Green-Bag Tag ECB’s will also do this. Manufacturer & Store coupons and ECB earned through previous deals will not reduce the %-off coupon savings.

Hope that helps and keep in mind this is not official infomation and is just from past experience using this coupon and what i’ve learned through this site.

         Thanks Sally!!

  14. Mom on a budget

I think there may be a typo on the buy 2 concealer sticks (physician formula) $5.99. Final price should be $9.98 not $19.98.

  15. I’m so excited about my transaction for tomorrow, i have to share. I went to cvs this evening and did some price checking and this is what I came up with ….

    ZZZquil 24ct  $8.99

    Conair/Scunci hair accessories $2.99 + $4.99 = $7.98
    Physicians Formula Cosmetic $11.29
    Revlon Lip & Eye Cosmetics $9.79 + $5.29 = $15.08
    Crest 3D rinse  $7.79 (lg) + $5.89 (sm) = $13.68

    Total = $67.80

    1. College_couponer12

I thought you can’t use the 30% on sale items?

      1. Anonymous

Many of the items Sally is purchasing are regular price, even though they may earn EBs :) Good job Sally!

      2.  Thanks KCL! Just got back from CVS. Here’s how I did….

        ZZZquil 24ct  $8.99
        Tampax Radiant Tampons 16ct $5.79
        Relvon beauty tool $5.49

-$8.00 Extra-Bucks Rewards from last week

        Extra-Bucks I’ll get…. $5 crest + $6 revlon + $4 Conair/Scunci + $7 Physicians Formula, $1 Green Bag Tag = $23

Plus almost $40 toward beauty club!

So $22 bucks was a lot to drop at CVS but with the extra-bucks I made I feel it’s well worth it. My next trip(s) will be MUCH lower oop.

      3. forgot to add a picture of my receipt..

        Saved $54 and 70% OOP

      4. Toni Clemens

        What is the beauty club?

      5.  beauty club is a savings program by CVS. Every $50 dollars (BEFORE coupons) you spend on beauty you get $5 extrabucks. You can sign up on cvs dot com .

Usually I spend $10 to $15 dollars in real money to reach the $50 goal due to coupons and extra-bucks.

      6. Anonymous

Cvs has a beauty club that you can link to your CVS card.  For every $50 you spend in beauty products (cosmetics, hair care, some skin care, others) you get a $5 coupon.  You can go to cvs.com to join the beauty club but be sure to link your cvs card to the account or you can do it at a cvs store.

      7. College_couponer12

oh cool, I didn’t know it worked like that.

      8. College_couponer12

so if it’s in the ad and doesn’t say “Sale!” it’ll work? even if it earns ebs?

      9. Correct! Also if it says “You Pay with card $X” and “Save $X” (like the simple face care last week) also means sale. Usually if it says “Spend $X Get X ECB” and doesn’t mention any prices in the ad, then those items are regular price.

If I’m not sure a item is a sale price or not I take it up to the MCM and scan it because it’s also a price checker. HTHs!

      10. College_couponer12

        thanks! that helped :]

    2. viv

i tried using my 30% coupon last week  but there is a fine print that you cannot use it on sale items. May be it may work for you..

      1.  You can see my transaction above.. Everything I got worked with the %-off coupon. Items that are regular price that produce ECBs are not excluded from the coupon!

  16. NoOdle

the magic coupon machine is not sharing much magic for a while now :/

  17. Ok 2 things…first, the goody and scuni deal…is wrong. its ONLY scuni and conair items. i bought goody and seen my ecb didn’t print. checked the flyer and seen its only those 2 brands. second thing…not sure everyone knows this or not, but when you use a % off coupon, the total amount comes off AFTER all coupons (including ecbs’) have been taken off! noticed this yesterday when i bought the dermasilk…it took $7.50 off, the total was $10.06. i gave $10 ecbs and then the total was $2.37! and if i would have just kept giving ecbs’ it would have just continued that way :(

    1. Anonymous

Thanks Jen. Some regional ads will vary. I’m sorry Goody wasn’t included for you :( Always be sure to check for tags and/or scan if you’re unsure, before you calculate your transaction.

The %-off coupons are tricky. While they do come off before manufacturer coupons, there are some CVS coupons that will throw that off, including Beauty rewards and Green Bag tag rewards. Even EBs that are expired that have to be forced through will affect it. If you used any of those, that may be why your percentage was off. :(

      1. Candy71175

yes, i too went through the same frustration, with several items, will be going back today, and hope the nabisco fruit thins will pan out, so excited about that deal. =) my kids love them!! i also find, the more you go to cvs, the more mr. magic red machine prints out. just sayn =)

      2. Mnomakeo

When you say EBs that are expired that have to be forced through…do you mean you can use expired EBs?!

      3. Anonymous

Depends on the store.  I’ve read here that some stores allow it; mine used to allow it but does not anymore

      4. Anonymous

Not officially, but some readers have reported that their CVS stores will honor them. Definitely double-check with your store before planning any transactions around it.

      5. Anonymous

yes, I can use expired ECB and MCM coupons but never rely on them just in case, there is also always the option of putting things back if it doesn’t work out.  I always suggest putting away the items yourself, correctly, and front facing for them whenever possible.  It relationship builds and may get u additional help on another visit.  I love my girls at CVS and they are very helpful to me and even tell me deals I may have missed!

    2. Canes1999

      our flyer lists all 3

  18. Brittany

I found a cvs coupon for 1.00 off poise on their website and you can stack it with a mfc

  19. The spend $30, get $10 EB deal has a limit of 1 in my ad, not 2.

    1. Anonymous

That is how it is advertised. However, oftentimes, the limit will change the day of the sale and readers notify us if they see that on their receipts! That’s why we changed it. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case and it is back to one, so we switched it back ;)

  20. Anonymous

I got a 30% off email the other day does that mean that i can do this scenario?

     9.99
    -3 (30% off)
    =6.99
    -$4 MQ
    =2.99 rcv $4 ECB
    so $1.01 its a moneymaker?

    1.  Not sure what item your talking about. Is it the razor? If so, the 30% coupon won’t work because it’s a sale price. If $9.99 is the *regular price* of the item than yes it would work. HTH

      1. Anonymous

woops sorry i used the Gillette ProGlide/Venus Razon scenario… I am almost sure 9.99 is the reg price…thanks for confirming!

      2. Anonymous

in my store it is 10+ reg price so the 30% wouldn’t work here in NW FL.  9.99 is sale here

    2. Anonymous

It would depend on which item you’re buying. %-off coupons will only work on regularly-priced items :)

      1. Anonymous

woops sorry i used the Gillette ProGlide/Venus Razon scenario… I am almost sure 9.99 is the reg price…thanks for confirming!

      2. Anonymous

        Those prices are sale prices.

  21. Anonymous

i got a 30% off email the other day. I know i can only use it on reg priced items but if an item is reg priced but its giving back ECBs would it work?

    1.  Yes it would. Physicians Formula & Crest 3D White are good examples. BOGO & BOGO-50%off and if it has a price in the ad (whether it be “You Pay with card: $X” or “Sale”) then it’s excluded from the %-off coupon. HTH

    2. Anonymous

Yes :) And if you’re ever wondering if an item is a sale price or a regular price, a quick search on cvs(dot)com will give you that info :)

      1. Serena205

Did you already post the coupon machine for 8/12? Thanks

I have a $5 off $15 cosmetics purchase, can I use that with one of the deals that gives me extra bucks?

    1. Anonymous

      Sure can!!

  23. Toni Clemens

If i have a $5 off $15 cosmetics purchase can I use that along with a deal on cosmetics that gives me extra bucks?

    1. Anonymous

      Yes, you can :)

  24. It’s saying there is a Sally Hansen coupon in RP 8/5, but I’m not finding one in mine. Could this be a typo or maybe a regional thing? I’m in Southern California and get the LA Times.

    1. Anonymous

Not every region will get every coupon, but we do list all potential coupons in our matchups :)

  25. Toni Clemens

Do you usually do seperate transactions in order to use your EB on the same trip?

    1. I think that’s a matter of preference. Sometimes I do separate transactions (I’ve never done more than 2 though) but most of the time I have enough extra-bucks on hand to do just one.

      1. Toni Clemens

This is only my second trip to CVS so I only have $3 EB just trying to decide if it is better to do one or two transactions with lots of EB for next week or seperate them out and pay less OOP this week.

    2. Anonymous

Totally up to you Toni! It really depends on how much time you want to spend each trip, and how much actual OOP (out-of-pocket) you want to spend. Some shoppers like to get it all done in one transaction and load up on the EBs for the following week :) HTH!

      1. Kat

I get overwhelmed with trying more then one transaction. So I just keep all my ECBs and use them before they expire.

  26. Toni Clemens

sorry, lots of questions tonight…..can I use a $5 EB for a total of $4.91 before tax?

    1.  the cashier will adjust the EB down to $4.91 and you’ll “lose” 9 cents.

    2. Anonymous

alot of people buy a filler item to put them over the top  if the total of their transaction does not meet the full amount of the reward coupon they will be using.

  27. Anonymous

Question that’s been buggin me for awhile and I see a perfect example in this week’s deals:  Physicians Formula Lip Gloss $9.89, online price
Spend $10.00, Receive $7.00 Extra Bucks, Limit 1

Does CVS cut you a break if you’re “close” to the spending amount?

    1. Anonymous

I just thought that you had to reach the $10.00 PRIOR to taxes…

    2. Anonymous

Your purchase(s) has to be within the 98% threshold in order to receive the EB.  98% of $10 is $9.80.  Since the PF Lip Gloss is $9.89, the EB will print because it has met the 98% threshold.  Last week I did the “spend $30 get $10 EB” deal and I spent $29.41 (just a penny over the 98% threshold) and my $10 EB printed :)

    3. Anonymous

The magic number is 98% :) This works for promotional thresholds as well as purchase-based CVS coupons. Hope that helps!

      1. Anonymous

I have noticed that this question has popped up multiple times in recent weeks, I checked your CVS 101 tab and did not see a reference to this policy.  I wonder if you listed it there if it would end some of the confusion or questions.  I know not all but maybe some?  Just an idea!  Thank you so much for all you ladies do!  I have been able to donate more than $800 to the womans shelter this year due to learning more about coupons! I have always used some but since Feb I have really “raked” in even here in NW  Florida…no doubling aloud 99.9% of my shopping

      2. Anonymous

         Great point. Thanks!

On the Gillette Fusion razor deal: noticed there is a 3 mo supply symbol next to it, has this item been free in the past? Or about how much is a 6 month supply stock up price? Or lowest price? These r the razors my hubby likes, thanks for your help!

    1. Anonymous

I stocked up on these for my hubby when I could get them for $1.00/99cents.  I may have gotten a free one here or there but that was when they first came out.  KCL has a list you can print for the stock up prices.  On the list it has a men’s razor 3 month stock up price as 85 cents and a 6 month price of 50 cents.  I have not seen them less than $1.99 lately unless you attach it to a buy $30/get $10 deal or something similar.

Once upon a time, we were getting these cheaper, even free, with coupons and rewards. However, you may have noticed that the coupon value for them has gotten lower and lower, including the requirement that you ALSO buy the refills to get the amount off :( Usually, when an item is fairly new to the market (like these were last summer), you will see higher value and more frequently-issued coupons, allowing you to “try” them for free (like we did last summer). Their marketing worked on you, now you’re hooked, right? ;)

Thanks everyone for responding!  I just love this CVS gang!

Slow week but I think I did great today on a small MM.  I bought 1 Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor (9.99), 1 large Crest 3D White Rinse (7.79), and 1 small Crest 3D White Rinse (5.89).  My total was $23.67 before any coupons.  I used my 30% CVS Q which took off $4.11, $4/20 Gillette, Crest CVS Q, B1G1 Crest Rinse free which took off $5, and $4/1 Gillette.  After coupon total was $6.56 and I received a $4 and $5 EB…$2.44 MM!  I wanted to share this in the Brag Lounge but I can’t seem to get things to post.

Do $5 ECBs from Beauty Club need to be used on beauty purchases only? My ECBs were refused.:(

    1. KendraMarie19

Really? That’s weird because I use them on non beauty items and it goes through. I used mine to buy two birthday cards a few days ago. Hm I would try again and ask why it’s refused, it was expired was it?

    2. Anonymous

Never had that problem.  Check exp date.  Call CVS customer service to inquire.  Only other thing I can think of is if the card # attached to the beauty club coupon is different than the cvs card you scanned with your purchase.  I shop for my Mom and sometimes I scan my card and mistakenly give them her coupon and vice versa and that does not work.

    3. Anonymous

MIne too, I bought 2 nature made fish oil and when I gave the $5 ECB from beauty club they refused it because its not going through but 3 days before that I was able to use another $5 ECB from beauty club when I purchased enfamil tub.  And last saturday, two of my ECB’s are beeping and they have to accept it manually.  And the lady said that I have to many coupons for that transactions and I told her that they are ECB’s so its should not have any problem.  I dont know, it looks like CVS is also getting strict with their couponing system.

    4. Anonymous

No, they are like CVS cash! Perhaps they reduced your subtotal below zero?

      1. Chryssp

did everyone else get the huggies diapers in the SS? i can’t find it in their and i could REALLY use them! ((p.s i’m in south florida…idk if that matters)

      2. CouponCal

They wouldn’t even scan it. I called customer service and they resolved it by adding a $5 credit to my CVS card. I hope it shows up.

      3. Anonymous

Glad to hear they tried to make it right for you.  Try checking your account online at cvs.com and you may see the $5 added to your account there.

      4. Anonymous

If your total is too low and you have items that the ECB are not qualified for like gift cards it will beep too.  I have done some deals with itunes and found out that I could not use ECB if the total drops below the gift card value so I am sure there are other items in the store that may apply to as well.

How do you only pay $4.00 on the honey bunches of oats cereal if the limit on facebook says 1 per person? If the deal is $3.00 ea = $6.00(2) – $1.00/2 facebook coupon then that paying $5.00 then getting the $2.00 ECB makes them $3.00(2) = $1.50 each not $1.00 wyb 2?

    1. printing the coupon through different fb accounts will get you the $1 wyb 2 price

  32.  Whats up with the brag lounge?? When I try to post a NEW brag it says ….”You are not allowed to edit this brag.” So sad!! :( I must not be the only one seeing how the last brag was posted on 8/9. KCL is this going to be fixed soon?

I’m trying to print coupons from redplum.com but they’re not printing, it says to click on an appelet on the top of the page? I dont see anything to click on can anyone help me print from this site? Thanks

    1. Anonymous

Hi Ashley, I’ve noticed some issues with redplum lately as well. The solution I’ve found for now is to use the Chrome browser to print. If you’re still having trouble, try a different browser, and definitely contact their support if you need more technical guidance!

  34. amy purple

Would someone kindly help?  I printed from the coupon machine today but it didn’t print right and i can’t read what two of them are for.  453577017 and 453597023.  Thanks!

  40. Nisa_ws11

Hi guys!  The CVS Machine printed out $3 off Almay Cosmetics and I also have 30% off.  So, you can do this deal if you need towelettes or something.

Almay Makeup Remover Towelettes $6.99 (It’s more expensive where I’m at)Use 30% offUse $2.00/1 Almay MQor Use $1.00/1 Almay MQAnd Use $3 off CVS QFinal Price: $0.11 MM or $0.89 if you don’t have $2Q  I think I did that right.

    1. shouldn’t that $3 off Almay and the $2 or $1 MQ only be used on cosmetics (make up)? I recieved that coupon too.. it’s ” $3.00 Almay Color Cosmetics “. Did yours say something else?

      1. Nisa_ws11

you’re right, sally, it does say color.  So, it can be used on the Almay Intense I-Color Shimmer-I Kit $7.49 (online price) and the final price would be $0.24 with $2Q.

  41. Since the brag lounge is down… Here’s my transaction I made today…..

    (1) Poise Towelettes $3.99

    =$0.00 + .60 tax !!!!

    Received $1.50 ECB

Plus I’ll save another $1 through savingstar due to buying 2 Sense and Spray refills

    1. Anonymous

Love to learn about savingstar.  how does that work?

      1. It’s free to sign up and use. They’re called the ecoupons because you don’t print them. They have a list of coupons and you activate the ones you might use. One you have $5 worth of savings built up in your account they will deposit the money into your bank account or you can select a giftcard to amazon.

The downside is you don’t get instant savings like you do with regular coupons… you have to complete $5 worth of savings before you actually get your savings. Another thing is they track your spending through your loyalty card(s)… so only stores with a loyalty card can work with savingstar.

  42. Bmark15010

sorry if this has been posted but there is a cvs coupon for the posie wash on thier website use this with the manufactures coupon making them pay 1.49 get back reward of 1.50

  44. Anonymous

    Will this work?

Aleve on sale $8.99 for 80–100 ct
-CVS Q $3 off any Aleve product
-CVS Q $1.50 off any pain reliever purchase of $5 or more
-CVS Q $2.50 off Advil, Aleve, Bayer, Tylenol, CVS pain reliever 50+ count
-ManQ $2 off Aleve 80 ct or larger

Final price free (or .01 mm)

Wondering if I could use both the $3 CVS Q and the $2.50 CVS Q because they both state Aleve?

    1. Anonymous

Unless the wording on the 2nd Q is “$1.50 off any Pain Reliever PURCHASE of $5 or more”, then I’m thinking that you could only use 1 of the CVS Q’s.  I’m also pretty sure that you cannot use both the $3 off and the $2.50 off together.  Hopefully someone else will comment for a 2nd opinion.  Would be a nice deal though!

      1. Anonymous

Thanks for responding.  The $1.50 Q does say “$1.50 off any Pain reliever purchase of $5 or more”  I omitted “purchase” in my first post.  I ‘m thinking I will not be able to use them all and have a scenario like this:

        8.99 -3 CVS Q – 1.50 CVS Q – 2 Man Q = 2.49

      2. Anonymous

I tried something similar w/ Covergirl last week. I had a $3/2 MQ, a $5/15 CVS cosmetic purchase and a CVS $1/5 purchase of Covergirl, gillette, puffs etc. The register did not accept the $1/5 CVS Q.

      3. Anonymous

Thanks for responding.  I thought it might be too good to be true.

    2. Anonymous

i would say you can only use one CVS q with a manufacturer q.

      1. Anonymous

Thanks for responding.  Their coupon policy says they allow 1 manQ and applicable CVS Q(s) per item—-meaning if the coupon fits they will allow more than 1 CVS Q.  I think I can use at least 2 of the CVS q but not all 3 because the $3 and $2.50 overlap on Aleve.  I will just have to try it and see what happens.

      2. Anonymous

         Let us know what happens!

      3. Bhrixyenne

I did this scenario but on the herbal essence deal last week. I don’t have a manu coupon with me,and I ask the cashier with the manager’s presence and I was able to use all my 6 $1/2 herbal essence store coupon. Same thing happen with my gillette deal, they just allow me to use it. Don’t know why if I’m violating anything?

      4. Bhrixyenne

I meant to say, Don’t know if I’m violating anything?

      5. Anonymous

The P&G coupons state “Limit 4 per shopping trip”, which means exactly that – if you wanted to use more than 4, you would have to make a separate trip.  I know you weren’t trying to misuse the coupon, but unfortunately the store will not be reimbursed for any coupons above the “4 per shopping trip” limit.  For future reference, always go by the strictest restrictions (KCL always follows them in her posts), in this case, the coupon says “Limit 4″ and even though the store may allow you to use more, you should only use 4.  Hope that helps!

      6. Anonymous

She mentioned “store coupon” so I assume she means the CVS coupon from the MCM that printed for $1 off 2 Herbal Ess products. Is there a limit on those like the Man coupons?

      7. Anonymous

Duh!  Yes, you’re right, I don’t know of any limit on store coupons, as long as there are enough products to satisfy each one.  My brain has been failing me lately, must be this heat!  Thanks for correcting me :)

      8. Anonymous

Oh–I didn’t mean it to be a “correction” only clarification.  I know what you mean about the old brain failing–I am in that club but we are not alone.  One poster yesterday advised that we could not use a certain coupon because it expired Sept. 13 and then realized we are only in August!  I had to chuckle because I soooo relate!!

      9. Anonymous

Sorry, Bhrixyenne!  Ignore my first comment, I didn’t read yours properly.  You didn’t do anything wrong :)

      10. Anonymous

”one applicable CVS coupon” means that you can only use one per item, as long as it fits specifications. It does not imply you can use more than one.

      11. Anonymous

I am still a little confused.  the policy reads “applicable CVS/pharmacy coupon(s) per item.”  The (s) does not mean you can use more than one?

      12.  I think the (s) means you can stack a purchase based coupon with regular store coupon… A rough example of using 2 store coupons & 1 MQ on one item :

        $1 off $5 purchase of X – Store coupon
        $3 off one X  – store coupon
        $1 off X – MQ

        Isn’t that a okay transaction?

      13. Anonymous

Yes, I believe so and that is what I will try on my next trip to CVS.

Aleve on sale $8.99 for 80–100 ct-CVS Q $3 off any Aleve product-CVS Q $1.50 off any pain reliever purchase of $5 or more-ManQ $2 off Aleve 80 ct or larger
        Final price $2.49

I have another CVS Q for $2.50 off of Aleve but have concluded that I cannot use that if I only purchase one product.

    3. Anonymous

You would need to select only one of the CVS coupons.

  45. Awarfield78

The Wisk, Colgate, and Lady Speedstick deal didn’t work for me.  I purchased all 8 items as listed but I didn’t get my 10 ECB.  My recipt shows I still need to purchase $4.09 (or so) to get that reward.  When I go out later this week I may pick up another Wisk just to get the ECB since I’m that close.

    1. 4swartz

I just posted a similar question before reading yours.  I did the same thing.  My CVS told me they were changing all their computer systems to require you spend the full amount after all coupons are scanned.  With these changes, limited inserts in my paper and whopping 20 cent off coupons it is getting tough to get deals.

  46. Bmark15010

does anyone know if the price of the brita picther is on sale or not i want to use my 30% off on it was wondering if it would work thanks

    1.  sorry but it’s sale price

    2. Anonymous

Sometimes I just check to see if the 30% off is better than the deal if I really want something.  I know it would be great to get both but sometimes we take best we can get.  Of course i alwas check to see if its cheaper somewhere else if I have no ECB to burn. wink

  47. Sassyshopper

If I do buy $30 get $10 ECB with the Huggies diapers and wipes, can I also use the MCM
-$5 off $25 in baby purchases? Didn’t know if I could get both of these deals at the same time.

    1. Algava

Yes, you can! Just hand the $5 off $25 first.

    2. Anonymous

       Yes you can :)

  48. 4swartz

Yesterday I went to CVS to get the “buy $30 get $10 back” deal.  My total was $34.00 and $24.00 after coupons.  When my reciept printed the rewards were not on it.  The cashier told me they are resetting the computers to only give the reward if the total is met after all coupons are scanned and that this would eventually be the same everywhere.  Has anyone else heard this yet?  It really stinks.  :(

    1. Anonymous

The deal worked fine for me.  It seems all good things come to an end.

    2. Dianne Buquet

That happened to me at Walgreens a month or so ago, just after they put in new check out registers. Same explanation and corporate was no help at all. But now it’s working just fine. Sometimes it’s just a glitch I think.

    3. Anonymous

CVS is pretty good about giving shoppers a heads up about such major changes ahead of time. And there has been no news of this change. Perhaps your store is experimenting with it. But it is not nationwide. My other suggestion is that maybe some of the items you picked up weren’t participating. Double check the bottom of the receipt to see how far you have to go to meet the reward threshold and that may be an indication of which item you purchased didn’t qualify (if that is the case).

  49. Anonymous

If anyone uses Shopkick, in my area they are offering a $5 Extra bucks reward with $5 minumum purchase.  They just added CVS to their list of companies that give walk ins…

Spend $30.00, Receive $10.00 Extra Bucks on Participating Items Listed, Limit 2…
is the limit one the ebc’s 1 or 2?

    1.  the limit was 2 but went back to one

When a deal (such as the venus razor) says Limit 1… does that mean
ever? Can I go back tomorrow or do they track that via your rewards
card? Also, if something is BOBO and there is a coupon for $2 off 2
items, does that mean you can get the full deal? (Meaning $5 for cereal
that is BOGO and you have a $2 off 2 items. Is the final price 2 for
$3?) New to couponing so please excuse my beginner questions :)

    1.  The answer for your 1st question is yes! However *sometimes* they will increase the limit to a deal (usually 5 or 6).. not the case with the razor though.

The answer to your 2nd question is also yes.

      1. Lauryn Thornton

        thanks sally!! :)

    2. Anonymous

the yes would be as long as the coupon does not state any exclusions.  always read the fine print on your q’s to make sure you aren’t breaking any rules and you will be trusted in your stores.  HTH

    1. The cashier would have to adjust ecb down to the subtotal ($1.99) and yes you would get the ecb.

  55. Dreamgirl585

Sorry I what I meant was if I paid the 5.98 and pay with 2.00 ecb as well will I still get the 4ecb thanks

  56. Good Morning everyone!  Does anyone know what’s wrong with the brag lounge? that’s the page I used to get my deals.  thanks

  57. My Calvin

Just returned from 2nd trip to CVS in as many days and am filling out my P&G rebate offer. Yesterday, got the $10 EB for buying $30 (but only spent $15 to do it)!  Today, I got the $5 EB for buying $25 worth of P&G products – I only spent $6.14 – with the EB and the rebate, this works out to be a $3.86 money maker!

Bounty Basic 8-packs of paper towels are on clearance for 75% off.  This deal was discovered yesterday and I got 2 packs at one store, leaving 5 packs behind, and another store I went to had them marked 50% off (I didn’t price check).  Today, I went back to the same store I got them at yesterday to get more and they were gone.  I went to the store that had them marked at 50% off and there was 2 other people loading up their carts and bought 6-8 packs each.  A lady was nice enough to give me 2 packs, that’s all I needed anyway.  So, I would RUN if you want this deal.  Btw…the stores I went to are in Redlands, CA.

Newbie question here: Yesterday I bought $15 worth of Physician’s Formula products to get the $7 ECB. One of the products was an organic mascara that I found a try me free rebate for online, which is why I bought $15 dollars worth instead of $10, because I thought I’d be getting $15 of product for $5 after rebate. However, I completely forgot that I could only get the rebate if there was a “try me free” sticker on the mascara and I realized today the box doesn’t have it. I’ve already used the $7 in ECB I got. Can I return the two products totaling $15 for a Physician’s Formula that only totals $10 so that I have only paid $10 OOP instead of $15 but still will have spent the amount needed for the ECB that I already used? Will they make me return the value of the ECB in cash? I don’t want to scam the system in any sort of way, so I want to return it for a product that will still have qualified me for the ECB I already received and spent.

    1.  In case you are returning products you received ECB for, the amount returned to you will be OOP- ECB .. So if u paid $10 for PF and received 7ECB , on returning it , you can keep the 7ECB and get 3 cash back .

  60. Heads up! I just signed into my cvs extra care account and found a 25% off coupon that expires 8/19. I decided to “send it” to my card because in the past they have disappeared from my account, if I didn’t send it to my card or print it right away.

So go a head and see if you lucky and got the coupon too!!

    1.  I’m looking at the deals for this upcoming sunday. I think my transaction will go like this……

      Almay Intense I-Color Shadow $7.79 ea x 2 = $15.58 (get $4 wyb $10)
      Bioluxe Shampoo & Conditioner $9.99 ea x 2 = $19.98 (get $5 wyb $15)
      L’Oreal Face Make up $14.99  (get $5 wyb $15)

      Total = $50.55
              -$3 almay color cosmetics crt
-$5 bioluxe full size hair care crt
              -$2 Almay Cosmetic Product MQ
              -$2 Almay Cosmetic Product MQ
              -$2 L’Oreal Face Cometic
-$22 extra bucks (all from 8/12′s deals)
              -$12.64   25% off coupon
              -$1.00 green tag extra buck
      =$0.91

Than I’ll get $14 in ecb plus $5 beauty club ecb. Not a bad deal at all I think!

I’m going to go tomorrow and check the prices of the almay and bioluxe but I’m pretty sure those prices are pretty close to the prices at my store.
