Here are the Staples deals for this week. Time is getting short and the kids will be back in school before we know it–stock up this week! These prices are valid from 8/12 – 8/18. Happy “Stapling!”

Staples has a Reward Program that gives you money back on the items most people use frequently.  Staples rewards you 10% of your purchase on ink, toner, paper, and copy and print items.  You can earn an unlimited 10% back on qualifying purchases when you earn at least $10 in rewards for a calendar quarter.  Every month the rewards are issued when the value of the rewards has reached at least $10.  They roll month to month if the balance has not reached $10, but they expire if that amount has not been reached in a quarter.  These can be redeemed through their online store, phone orders and any Staples store

I just returned from a Staples run. They accepted my manufacturer’s coupons on Purell hand sanitizer, Rose Art and Scotch packing tape with no problem. One additional deal to note: Martha Stewart spiral bound notebooks are 50% off. I found 30% off Martha Stewart items coupons (in the pen aisle of all places, not near the Martha Stewart items). I also have the 15% off school supplies shopping pass they are offering. So I ended up getting spiral notebooks that are normally $4.99 for about $1.50 each.

I struck out at Staples today.  The refused my coupons for any product that was on sale, such as the Bic pens, whiteout, and pilot highlighters.  It was really frustrating! I wish Staples would create a Coupon Policy. So to anyone planning to use coupons at Staples, I woulnd’t count on it- you might be refused. Hopefully a Coupon Policy forms soon!

According to Staples corporate, they do not accept manufacturer coupons in store or online. Ever. I emailed them to clarify after the store accepted them one weekend and refused them the next. HTH

Thanks for letting me know! That is so disappointing though.

I am a couponer and I also work at Staples and we were issued a statement from corporate this week that we must accept the Bic coupons and any other manufacturer coupon….we just don’t give money back. Just FYI raise some hell if they aren’t accepting your coupons! ;)

          • Artist521 says:

Of course! I guess I went to easy on the cashier then. I’m thinking I’ll have to ask for a manager IF I ever go back.  Thank you!

            • Do an online chat like I did and print it and take it with you to the store. The Staples customer ser. rep. I chatted with assured me that the stores do accept. mfg. coups from newspaper inserts and also internet coups. I was emailed a transcript of my conversation.

I have used coupons with out any problems. Cordova TN

I’ve used manufacturer coupons at staples.  I had a problem with a printable once, but it was cleared up.

      • That makes no sense because on 7/10/2012, I did an online live chat ( through Staples.com ) with a customer service rep. who assured me that Staples does accept mfg. coupons from newspaper inserts etc. and internet coupons. They sent me an email transcript of my conversation and I have printed it and will carry it with me. I live in SJersey and I have used a couple of mfg. coupons at my local Staples without a problem.

I’ve had some problems with Staples in my area with regards to coupons so I understand how frustrating it is! However,  last week I was able to use the Bic as well as the Pilot coupons to get free white out and high lighters. Do you have another Staples in your area? I would go back or go to another one and try to use the coupons again. If they refuse ask to speak to a manager or call corporate. Good luck!

      • Scrapnmklady says:

Yes, try again or go to a different store. I just did it and it worked at my Staples. I even bought 2 – and the Purell had the “Bonus 50% more” making them 12oz bottles which rang up $2 each on sale and I was able to use 2Q’s!!  Good luck.  Same store didn’t let me use Q on Extreme deals few weeks ago.

    • A few weeks ago, someone else had posted here about Staples not accepting coupons so I did an online chat with a customer service rep. and was assured that they do accept  manufacturer coupons from newspaper inserts etc. and also internet coupons.

I am a bit frustrated.  Both office max and staples have said they are running the same sales as every other store in the US and I am not finding any of the same deals as are being posted here.  Is anyone else having this problem.  It has happened to me twice at staples and now at office max in colorado.

    • Anonymous says:

i noticed it this past week at office max.  They had the “bag sale” going on.  20% off anything in the bag.  not sure about staples that seemed to be the same.  But I am in CO as well.

Can you get the copy paper and still get the Easy Rebate every week? Does the Easy Rebate start over every sales week like Walgreens and CVS?

    • Anonymous says:

It seems to, yes.  I have gotten the copy paper the past 4 weeks with no problems.

      • LauraD says:

My experience has been the same as Ohio_Dad’s.  But to be on the safe side, I check www.stapleseasyrebates.com to see if a new rebate # has been issue for the current week.

    • You can get the Easy Rebate on the reams of paper evey week that they have it in the ad. I’ve been doing this for several years. Never a problem. Most of the time you will find the best deals and Easy Rebates at Staples from mid-July through mid-Sept.

I can’t believe I ever paid normal prices for my reams of paper…
