I was so excited to see a display of the new Simple skincare line at my Walmart today, stuffed with manufacturers coupons for $3.99 off a Simple moisturizer! I checked the coupon for the policies and it said ‘two per transaction’ so I took two and I’m now keeping an eye out for a BOGO on this new item.

I scored best deal…they had the bic velocity refillable pencils for $1 (I’ve paid 3.97)…used 4 bic B2-$1.00 off coupons, only 50 cents each.  I also bought 8 more, even at a buck it’s an awesome deal!!!!

I was at walmart yesterday and had the hardest time with my coupons. It seems like every time I go, there is an issue. This time they would not take my BIC $3 coupon for razors 2.89. The manager said it was not in the coupon picture. The coupon does say ANY BIC. Anyone else had this trouble? Also if I have another store coupon for like $1 off and a manufacturer. They would not take because the store coupon did not have the total item price. What is up with that?

I have run into the same situation with them saying they won’t take the coupon because what I was buying wasn’t the picture on the coupon. For me I was buying Huggies Slip-ons and using the $1.50/1 any Huggies coupon, but the picture is of the snug-and-dry Huggies so they said I couldn’t use it. They kept telling me that they were told they couldn’t accept the coupon if the picture was different than the product. I even talked to a supervisor and she told me the same thing. They are the only place that has done this to me and I know I’m using the coupon for the right item. VERY frustrating! As far as using another store coupon, they were correct unfortunately.

Here is what they will take:
      Competitors’ coupons
A specific item for a specified price, for example, $2.99Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price

Here is what they will NOT take:
Competitors’ coupons Dollars/cents off at a specific retailerPercentage offBuy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified priceDouble- or triple-value coupons

Just read over the Walmart-coupon policy and it will explain everything

they will accept dollar off coupons from stores if it still a manufacturer’s coupon for example my local dollar general and family dollar stores will often have $1 off washing powder coupons that say redeemable at that store but they are also Maufacturer’s coupons! So walmart will accept them, or in some of the local grocery store ads there will be $ off on sodas or powerade products and walmart will accept them!

At walmart to use another stores coupon it had to have an amount for the item not an amount off..sorry

Every time I go to this walmart close to my house at Randol Mill Rd. in Arlington, Texas (so everybody that lives in the area try to avoid it) I have issues too and with the same manager twice! she’s a stupid b— (sorry everyone but she is). She didn’t want to take my coupons for the ivory soap back in july because the 3-pack soap was not in the picture and yesterday (this has nothing to do with couponing though) she came to the register where I was checking out and told me not to use my wic card because it was going to crash the whole system and walked away without giving me a solution or telling me to go to another register or even apologizing; I left everything on the counter and walked away too. I know they give overage for coupons and price matches but I just hate shopping there!

I had a problem with that q too! They wouldn’t take it because the codes didn’t match! Does any one know if the bar codes are supposed the match the q and the product, this is a new one on me or maybe I just haven’t paid that close of attention since they started changing the q!

Was the nivea coupon regional? I’m on vacation in myrtle beach & can’t find that coupon…):

  5. They do such as the accu check meters that are 9.78 (or something not for sure) and you use the $10.oo/1 coupon then the whole $10 will be taken off making you 22 cents in this situation, there is not where on a walmart receipt to figure the actual savings i have to just add back in the value of my coupons to know what i saved.

  6. Tanya_h3 says:

Does Walmart apply the overages? If so how do I find them on my receipt? I am just beginning this.  Thank you for your help.

    • Lamiller2008 says:

They are typically automatically taken off what additional charges you may have in your basket’s total, and don’t display on the receipt. In order to figure out what overages you may have had, if any, is to check the price of the item against what the value of the coupon was. In some cases where you may not have anything in your basket and show a negative balance…my mileage has varied from being able to get that back or have it transferred to an existing Walmart gift card, which is usually the easiest and has avoided me the least trouble with cashiers. Your situation(s) may vary. Good luck!
