These bag are only $1.00 at dollar general and family dollar. I found some of these coupons on a tear pad back in July and used them to get bags for 25 cents!!!

Typically, the bags you find at the dollar stores are smaller than those you find at the grocery stores.  I’m looking at a bag of almond supremes from the grocery store.  It’s 5 oz.  Also, be sure to check the expiration date on the bags no matter where you buy them.

Be sure to check the date on the bags!!!  Our local H-E-B had a bunch of bags of the orange slices.  I knew they were old because they were already hard.  Some of them were already past the date and the rest of them were less than a month away from the use by date.  Also, not too long ago, H-E-B offered at store coupon for Brach’s candy…buy one, get one free.  It was stackable with the mfg.’s coupons that were out at that time because the store coupon was a “B” coupon, not a M (mfg.’s) coupon.

Walmart has a decent selection of Brach’s bagged candies and a large selection of their Great Value bagged candies.  The G.V. peppermints are not bad.  However, they recently lowered the price of the small bag of G.V. peppermints from $1.00 to 98 cents and reduced the size of the bag from 14 oz. to only 10 oz.  Ouch!!!!
