I just came from cvs and got the 99 cents dawn hand renewal soap and wiht my coupon i got it for 24 cents….i should hav gotten 30 instead of only 5…on the other note they run out of my stayfree product, i could hav gotten them for free with my coupons…..oh why do they always run out of free stuff. Then again when i get home i would hav to ask myself what will i do now with stayfree…. :)

  2. HT says:

Can someone please help me? I am wondering how I would use my BOGO ZonePerfect coupons (I have 4) and $1/2 ZonePerfect coupons (I have 3) on the buy2get1 promotion at CVS? Thank you!

  3. TTCoupons says:

The cashier at CVS did not allow me to use the $4/1 Venus Refillable Razor, she said that I had to get both the razor & the refillable. I politely tried to correct her but she was adamant (although she was cordial) :( I am not going to complain because I am saving a lot more than I would have in the past! I am still new at this…

  4. sungardner925 says:

For the Pfizer rebate, does it have to be on one receipt?

Also, there is no website or phone number is there a way to check on the status of it?

I’m new to couponing so bare with me LOL….I tried to go through all the comments and to make sure this wasn’t already asked… Im trying to figure out how the pricing for the Pantene works out on this….

Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner, 12.6 oz or Styler, 5.7-11.5 oz $3.33
Spend $30.00, Receive $10.00 Gas Card, Limit 5
Use $3.00/2 Pantene products, excludes trial/travel size limit of 4 like coupons in same shopping trip from PG 7/29 (exp 8/31)
Or $1.00/2 Pantene Product, excludes trial/travel size limit of 4 like coupons per household per day from PG 8/26 (exp 9/30)
Final Price: $0.73 each, when you buy 2

Is the $3.33 for one ? I assume yes…. OK if I use the $3.00/2 coupon that brings the price to $3.66 for 2? ughhhh where does the .73cents for 2 come from ? Help !

  6. Rbb546 says:

I went in and bought 4 razors, each different, and instead of receiving 20 dollars in ecbs I only received 10! Why is that when I clearly got 4 different razors?

    • Anonymous says:

The limit is 1 $5 ECB deal offer per card. There are 2 separate deals for the men’s razors and the women’s razors, so you would only get $5 ECB once for each offer, a total of $10 ECB. Hope that helps!

  7. Anonymous says:

I’m hoping for a %off coupon tomorrow. Since the gillette razors are full price, we could use it on them, along w/ the B1G1 MQ and get the EB’s too.

    • CrazyMomOf11 says:

I went to use my % off coupon and the cashier told me it would not take off anything for the razor because it was a promotional item. :(

      • Anonymous says:

It will still take the % off promotional items, even if there is ECBs,
as long as the price isn’t a sale price.
The razors are a regular price so they would be discounted.

      • Anonymous says:

That sounds questionable. I used a % off Q 2 weeks ago on the Schick Hydro 3 deal w/ out any problems & got the EB. I’m in Ohio & there are 4 stores w/in 10 miles of me. Could you try another store? Unfortunately I didn’t get a % off Q this week :o( But I’m still going for the razors and then I think I’ll roll the rewards for the Pfizer deal that way I’m converting my EB’s back to cash. Good Luck!!

Same price, however if you’re referring to the recent Winco coupon that was released, it will not be accepted at CVS, per their policy. There is a Winco logo on the coupon :(

Hi. CAn someone help me out? The biore products aren’t in my ad for the $30/get gas card deal. I’m in NYAlso I’m not understanding the deal for the gas card with the tide. The last line says 3.01 ea. when you buy 2 I don’t see how you get 30 and a gas card here. What am I missing? Thank you!

    • Anonymous says:

The Biore is not pictured in the ad, but if you look for the picture of the Jergens and Curel, you will see it listed with them :)

With promotions that involve several mix+match items, we list the final price taking into consideration the percent saved after EB (or gas card in this instance). Assuming you would be spending $30 and getting the gas card, that would be your bottom line on the Tide. If you look at the promotional header above tide and the other participating items, you’ll see our math method outlined there. Hope that helps!

    • Anonymous says:

Thank you! I see it now. My kids are getting used to seeing me with my coupons. The other day my 5 year old wanted something and said, ” I want this, do you have a coupon for it?” Guess I’m officially “Krazy!”

  11. Scrappinjay says:

I did not receive the pfiser rebate form does anyone know if you can print it online?

  12. Lynnhks says:

I have never done any gas card deals, and was planning on doing it this week, mainly for the dish detergent. Are there only certain places that will let you use the gas cards? Do they work like a debit card at the pump? Thanks for any help…I love this site…visit every (almost) day. Oh and do you get the card right away or do they mail it? Thanks again.

    • Anonymous says:

They will usually have a couple of choices of cards, including Shell or Arco. HTH!

    • Anonymous says:

At my store they offer Shell and Mobil usually. When you purchase the required items and meet the $30, a coupon will print on the bottom of your receipt. You give the coupon to the cashier and she activates a gift card for you.

    • Shauna says:

I hate the gas card deals. I feel like they just jack up the price then give you a gas card to remember at an inconvenient expensive gas station. I’d much rather have the ECB.

  13. Ethans_Mommy says:

I am sure someone has mentioned this, but I thought I would just in case! CVS has there Olay facials cleansers BOGo 1/2 off. The cheapest ones at my CVS were the Olay Wet Cloths for 5.99, plus 2.99 for the second. I combined this with (2) of the “Buy One facial cleanser, get one body care free” Q in the 7/29? P&G. Body washes and bars also give you $2 ECB, limit 3 per household. The price of these were 6.79 each. I used (2) $1 off Olay body wash Q to make them 5.79 to meet the coupons free maximum amount, as well as (2) 1.00 Olay facial cleansers to make by bottom line lower. In all, I got 2 face cleaners, and 2 body washes.
    Body Wash:
    6.79
    -1.00 MC
    =5.79 (free after BOGO coupon)
I bought 2 of these, made $4 ECB on them
    Face wipes
    BO, GO 1/2 off
    5.99+2.99=$8.98
    -$1 MC each=$6.98
After everything, I paid $6.98, and made $4 ECB
After using previous ECB, I owed hardly nothing.
(CVS allows one coupon per item on BOGO coupons or promos in addition to the coupon. This is how I was able to use 6 coupons for 4 products)
My before coupon total on Olay products was $22.56.
There is a $10 MIR when you buy $30 worth of Olay before 8/31/2012 http://www.olay.com/en-us/publishingimages/offers/rebate/july012012/olay/10_olay.pdf
I have heard people say that they got the rebate before Q’s, others had to argue a little, because they used coupons, but nowhere does it state that the $30 is before or after coupons. So, with my deals today, spending $2.98, and making another Olay purchase to reach the $30 mark, I am getting everything free after the MIR. Just thought I would let everyone know.

    • canes1999 says:

you cant use a $ coupon on the free item, seems a bit shady to me

      • Ethans_Mommy says:

At CVS you can use a coupon on a free item:other pharmacies, you cant.
        READ: http://www.cvs.com/bizcontent/general/help/coupon-policy.pdf
Read under “BOGO”coupons. The washes were $6.49. The free coupon stated free up to $5.99.That is why I could use an additional coupon for the wash, to bring down MY o.o.p. for the excess. CVS does allow it, and believe me, I will do nothing with coupons that will affect the retailer. I just started all of this, but if we try to screw the system (or act shady as you say), coupons could be cut out completely. So, no, it is not shady- it is outlined in there policy.

        • barb1222 says:

You can use two coupons on a BOGO promotion (sale), NOT with a BOGO coupon. Nowhere in the CVS policy does it say you can use a BOGO COUPON with 2 more manufacturer coupons. In fact, the CVS policy says “CVS/pharmacy accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable CVS/pharmacy coupon(s) per item…” So you can use a store coupon & manufacturer coupon can be used on one item, but not two manufacturer coupons.

You are NEVER allowed to use more manufacturer coupons than you have items. It has always been one manufacturer coupon per item…that’s the same rule at any store. So, if you have 4 items, you can use (at most) 4 manufacturer coupons.

Do you see what I’m saying?

        • Anonymous says:

Think about what you’re saying…you basically just said that because one coupon didn’t cover the whole cost, you were able to use another coupon for the excess. If that was the case, you’re saying that 5 $1/1 coupons can be used on a $5 item to cover the excess…definitely not legal. We are not trying to argue, only inform you. You keep telling us to read the CVS coupon policy, and we’re suggesting that you RE-read the policy because it DOES NOT say anywhere that you can use a $$ off coupon with a BOGO coupon…it DOES say that you can use a $$ off coupon with a BOGO SALE, but a “SALE” is not “COUPON”…there’s a difference. Also, you can argue about the CVS coupon policy all you want, but the coupons you used (P&G coupons) expressly state that you cannot use a $$ off coupon in addition to a BOGO coupon. KCL says this over and over! You say that you are new to this, so don’t feel bad. Just realize that what you did wasn’t allowed and just make sure that next time you follow the rules – we’ve ALL made mistakes :)

          • afrohna says:

Hi. Just a question. What about the Biore deal? Above it says to use the B1pore strips get a cleanser for free and then she also says to use $1.50 MQ off the pore strips. Is this considered 2 MQ for the same product? Or is this alright to do?

            • Anonymous says:

The coupon itself doesn’t exclude it, so per the coupon wording, it’s allowed. Some CVS stores will allow it, some don’t. Seems contradictory, but the main problem with @ethans_mommy:disqus’s scenario is the fact that she used P&G coupons and those coupons exclude doing it. The Biore coupons don’t exclude it. Hope that helps!

      • Ethans_Mommy says:

Look up CVS coupon policy. It specifically says that “Two coupons may be used on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion [one for each item] as long as it does not exceed the item total”. Not shady at all. Its in the “rules”.

        • Anonymous says:

I’ll try to explain this so it makes sense…You used more than 1 manufacturer coupon per item, which we all know isn’t allowed:
Your BOGO coupon makes the body wash free so it applies to the Body Wash. ***(since it’s a P&G coupon, it actually applies to BOTH the Body Wash and the Cleansers, so you should have stopped here)
You then used a $$ off coupon on the Cleansers. You are now maxed out on manufacturer coupons per item, per the CVS coupon policy).
You then used ANOTHER $$ off coupon on the Body Wash…so you applied the BOGO and this $$ off coupon to the body washes, which is 2 coupons = not allowed by either the coupons or the CVS coupon policy :(
***Regardless of all of this, all P&G coupons state that you cannot use $$ off coupons with BOGO coupons. Unfortunately, the terms on the coupon and the CVS coupon policy were violated in this case :(
I’m not sure if all your coupons scanned or beeped, but now you know for next time.

          • Ethans_Mommy says:

I appreciate your help on this matter. Like I said in the other post, if the manager had not have said it was acceptable, then I would not have used it. I will end it there. I did not mean for one [trying to be] helpful comment, to turn into a bash for not following the rules. Yes, I could go on and on, but…..
It is still a good deal to use the BOGO coupon with the MIR. (without additional coupons, of course). You could still manage to get all items free or almost free after the $10 you get back with the rebate, if you do it right and get the best deal.

        • barb1222 says:

Promotion means sale, not coupon. They mention BOGO coupons previous to that rule. BOGO promotions & BOGO coupons are two different things.

Besides, the P&G BOGO coupons say on them that you can’t use any other manufacturer coupons with them.

        • Anonymous says:

This part of the policy is referring to a “promotion.” You may use two coupons on a Buy One, Get One Free SALE, but not with a BOGO COUPON. Hope that helps.

      • Ethans_Mommy says:

I see what all of you are saying, and I go by what my CVS told me. The manager told me they treat bogo promo the same as coupons, and if the register doesn’t beep for the coupon, then they will take it, as long as I have the right amount of items. It never beeped.
Thank you all for the info, however, and I know all CVS will use their own guidelines. I always ask before using any coupons I am not sure about, and I asked about these before using them (which is why I posted this thread). If I knew it was “illegal” as you say, and didn’t listen to the manager, I would have never posted it!!
And using (5) $1 off coupons on one item is not the same scenario. When the coupon said buy a facial, get a wash, that was two separate things. I didn’t make anything off using the $1 off coupons for the wash, nor does CVS lose anything- I trust the manager if she tells me they accept it. If she says they don’t, then that’s fine too. I pay and go on with my day. I do not stockpile or resell anything I get from couponing, I do not shelf clear. I simply try to save a couple bucks every now and then to cover a one income family. I do appreciate all your help and I know there is alot to learn (which again, is why I just ask the manager if I am not sure).
Oh, and I did not mean to post 3 different comments saying read the policy!! When it said it has to be approved, it disappeared, so I thought I timed out or something. I was in no way trying to sound rude or persistent. Sorry :)

    • Anonymous says:

Unfortunately, the CVS coupon policy doesn’t say anything about combining $$ off coupons with BOGO coupons. Your statement “6 coupons for 4 products” should tell you that you used 2 too many coupons. You can NEVER use more than 1 manufacturer coupon per item :(

    • Anonymous says:

I’m unclear as to the exact quantities and coupons you used. So, let me just clarify a couple of things about CVS policy and PG coupons, in general.

Per CVS policy, you cannot use coupons on items made free by another coupon (although you CAN do so on items made free by a SALE). So, you may use ONE Bogo coupon per pair of items. Additionally, (unless the coupon prohibits it), at CVS you may also use ONE $-off coupon on the item you’re buying with the Bogo coupon. Only one. You may not use another $-off coupon on the “free” item with a Bogo coupon. HOWEVER, PG coupons DO prohibit this specifically. So, all that being said, Olay coupons (which are PG coupons) do not allow you to stack the Bogo coupon with a $-off coupon.

      Hope this helps :)

  14. recumbentrider says:

Just got back CVS and got some great deals! I had the save $4 on tide when you spend $8 or more. I thought it meant you had to spend $8 or more on tide… but I saw I brag recently where they only bought one and other stuff. So I looked at my coupon again, and it does seem as long as your total transaction is over $8 you can use it. I hope that’s correct… the Manager was my cashier and it didn’t beep, so i *think* it’s okay. Anyway here’s what I got…..

    Tide $5.99
    ZzzQuil $4.99

    = $10.98

    Coupons Used:
    - $4.00 off Tide when you spend $8.00 or more
    - $2.00 ZzzQuil MQ
    - $0.75 Tide MQ

    = $4.23 – $4 ecb = $0.23 + $0.66 tax = $0.89 !!!

I got $2 ecb on my receipt but I also got $5 beauty club reward (and didn’t use it in this transaction).. So I’m happy about my little trip :)

  15. Lana says:

On the deal “Buy 1 Gillette Venus Tropical Disposable Razors, 3 ct $10.99, regular price.” If i use one B1G1 Gillette Disposable Razor wouldn’t I only get $5.00 Extra Bucks instead of $10.00 Extra Bucks because the limit is one? Or would you get $10.00 Extra Bucks when you buy two.

    • recumbentrider says:

From my understanding you need to use the Bogo “men” coupon if you want to get $10 eb back. Because of the wording “Buy ONE Gillette Disposal Razor, Get ONE Gillette Disposal Razor Free”… you can use it for ANY Gillette disposal razor (you can go by the wording, not whats pictured) and mix&match. So if you get one men’s and one women’s razor, you can use that bogo coupon and you’ll get $5 extra-bucks for each deal. The limit is one per deal, so if you get 2 Venus you’ll only get one $5 ecb. hope that hopes!

  16. christiecali says:

I’m new to couponing so bare with me. My goal was hitting the $30 price point and then receiving the $10 ECB back but I’m still spending $20. How are people able to walk out with only spending $11? If I understand how it works, the sale price if applicable or shelf price is used prior to coupons or tax, totaling $30. Also, the final price under all coupon scenarios are taking into account the $10 ECB being used as well as discounts from the coupons? Thanks in advance.

    • recumbentrider says:

I think the answer to your question is people lower their out of pocket cost by using extra bucks earned from a previous transaction. You can use as many extra-care bucks as you want in a transaction, as long as you subtotal doesn’t drop below $0.00 (than it can be adjust down). If what your buying is part of a extra buck promo, as long as the purchase requirements are met.. your extra-bucks will print.

As to the scenarios, KCL states ” $10.00 back on a $30.00 purchase is a 33% savings. Final prices below reflect 33% discount.”

I plan on doing the gas deal tomorrow and don’t want to spend anywhere near $30… more like just tax and a dollar. Here’s what I’m getting…

      3 Boire at $6.99 each x 3 = $20.97
      1 Tide at $5.99
      3 Dawn $0.99 each x 3 = 2.97
      total = $29.93

      Coupons I’m using…
-$4.00 off when you spend $8 or more at CVS (MCM)
      -$0.75 off Tide (MQ)
      -$7.00 Boire Bogo (MQ)
-$5.00/1 Boire (MQ from Prove It Rewards on Facebook)
      -$0.75 x 3 Dawn (MQ) = $2.25

      Total after coupons = $10.93

Then I’ll use $10 in extra-bucks… So I’ll walk out of there with spending $0.93 + tax and I’ll get the gas card!.. if this was a extra-buck deal, the same principal applies, extra bucks would print.

Hope that gives you some insight on how a experienced couponer might go about spending very little and still gets the “rewards”.

    • Anonymous says:

I purchased 1 Bounty, 2 tides, 4 cover girl eye shadow (singles) and 3 Dawn for $32. I used 10.50 in Man coupons which brings me to 21.50. If you consider the $10 gift card as “cash Back” It’s like I paid 11.50 for 10 items effectively paying 1.15 per item. I also used 11 in extra bucks to lower my out of pocket cost, but I count my extra bucks when I receive them, not when I use them. It does not matter when you count the extra bucks for credit (when received or when used) but remember to only take credit for them once.

  17. Roci_R says:

My CVS had $2/1 peelies on the Robitussin tablets that are part of the EB deal & Pfiser rebate.

  18. Crimson says:

I have a question I’ve never been able to find a definitive answer to, what order should you present your coupons in to the cashier at cvs to get the maximum savings? I’ve seen several people say several things, just wondering how the KCL does it!

    • Anonymous says:

The main concern about order is when you use a CVS coupon with a spending minimum $4 off $20 or 15% of $30. Something like that. You would use a coupon like that first, so that your other coupons don’t drop you below the minimum immediately. HTH.

Hi I’m new to couponing and its my first time to submit a rebate. On the rebate form they need the original UPC codes from the pfizer product that I bought, I bought Advil and Dimetapp not so sure if the UPC codes is the number where the the bar code is. Thanks in advance.

  22. Caitlin says:

I’m new to couponing – can someone tell me if this would work?

    Transaction 1
    (1) 946Ml crest rinse
    (1) 500ml crest rinse
    Total before coupons = $13.58

Use 1 BOGO coupon and $5 ECB from previous transaction
Pay $2.79 OOP recieve $5 ECB

    Transaction 2
    (1) 946ML Crest Rinse
    (1) 500ML Crest Rinse
    (3) Dawn
    Total before coupons $16.55

Use 1 BOGO and (3) $.75 dawn coupons plus ECB from Transaction 1
Pay $3.54 OOP recieve $5 ECB for next time

    Total OOP $6.33
( I know it will be a bit higher since I didn’t calculate tax) and receive the $10 Gas card (since the subtotal would be $30.13 before any coupons). That would be a great deal if it works!

Also I know the 20% Beauty coupon can’t be use on sale items but will it work on items with ECB’s attached? Or are the ECB’s considered a sale? I’m trying to plan my shopping trip and I need to know if these items are included: Biore strips and cleansers, John Frieda shampoo, conditioner, and color, and the finess shampoo. If anyone can tell me, I would be so grateful – my 20% off expires tomorrow. Thanks so much! This site it AMAZING! I have learned so much!

    • CherylBS says:

@ Caitlyn the 20% Beauty Club coupon does not say ‘can not be used on sale items’

    • recumbentrider says:

The 20% of beauty coupon doesn’t say it excludes sale items but it does!

You can use a % off coupon with a ECB deal ONLY if the item rings up as REGULAR price. If the ad says “Sale”, “BOGO/BOGO-50%off” or “You Pay with Card”… than the coupon won’t work. Usually if a price is listed, than it’s a no go. The John Frieda deal would work but the Finesse would not. I’m not sure about the Biore but I think that’s a sale price.

Another thing to keep in mind about this coupon is what other coupons your using. If you use a purchase-based coupon (-$4/$20), beauty club reward and green bag tag reward that will reduce the amount the %-off coupon take. Say you subtotal is $20 and you use a $5 beauty club reward… you will save 20% off $15 not $20. Manufacturer coupon & most store coupons won’t affect it and extra-bucks earned from weekly/monthly deals also won’t effect it.

In other words… If a coupon rings up as a “CVS coupon” than it will reduce the savings from the %-off coupon but if it rings up as “coupon” or “cvs mfr coupon” than you’ll save the full 20%.

      Hope that helps! :)

So I notice the gas deal is limit of 5 so does that mean i can do the spend 30 get 10 gas card? cause my cvs gave me a 10 gift card cause they ran out of gas cards!! so i wanted to go back and keep getting a gift card or an american express card!!

    • barb1222 says:

Since the limit is 5, that means you can get 5 $10 gift cards, so spend $30 more dollars on the specified products and you will get another gift card (it will track on your receipt).

  24. Anonymous says:

Is there a limit to how many Dawn dishsoap we can buy??

    • Anonymous says:

The limit is on the coupon. I think all P&G coupons are max 4 coupons. This one has additional wording with a per day per household limit. No limit in the CVS add. When I was a newbie, I had a CVS machine beep at me when I unknowingling tried to buy 5 Dawns with coupons.

I have not shopped at CVa in a long time. Is the Extra Bucks rewards you recieve go on your cvs card? and if so can you use them in the same day? If not can someone tell me how the extra buck program work.

    • kaylamaine says:

The Extra Bucks print off on your receipt and you can use them right away on almost anything you want, but you need to have your CVS card to use them and they do expire.

  26. Anonymous says:

So for the second time in the past week I have noticed that the registers at CVS are populating the price of items a little differently than they use too. Today everything rang up at shelf price and it came to $34 (when I had expected $21 w/ the sale price EEK!) Next they took off my coupons and then after the coupons it pulled out the difference btwn the shelf price and the sale price. Shwoo. Has anyone else noticed this? It got me to thinking about the $4/$20 CVS coupon. Could it of been used based on shelf price and not sale price? If so that could be a game changer.

    • Katie Jones says:

I noticed this at my CVS the other day. It rang up at about $30 before coupons and I was surprised, but after he scanned through the coupons I watched it go down to 20-something and then poof!- it was down to $11 (what I had expected). It scared me! lol

    • kylie says:

If one item is scanned before your card is scanned everything will ring up at regular price. Once your card has been scanned the register will adjust all of the prices to the sale prices. Does that make sense?

      • Anonymous says:

TY. I always give them my card 1st, but who knows when they scan it. That totally makes sense.

    • Anonymous says:

Roci – IIRC this can happen when your ExtraCare card is not scanned at the beginning of the transaction. If your card is not scanned first, the deals will ring up at shelf prices until your entire transaction has been totaled. This anomaly makes it difficult to follow along with prices during the transaction. If you want to double-check the transaction and prices, you can scroll up on the credit card monitor to see the individual prices before you make payment.

one thing I haven’t seen asked/answered since I’ve been following is the listing of an “online” price. Will the store match an online price? What do we need to show them, if so? If not, how are Qs used online? Thanks! (not only for answer to this one, but for ALL the amazing info!!!!!!!)

    • Anonymous says:

KCL uses an online price as an estimate/guideline of what the price might be at the retail store—it’s impossible to know exactly what the price is at every store unless it is an advertised sales price. I do not think the stores match the online price. I am not sure about using coupons online.

      • bobookie says:

if i do the crest rinse deal (spend $10 get $5 eb) and use the bogo 500ml free, does the 500ml rinse count towards the gas card deal as well?

    • Anonymous says:

I think it might count if you use a COUPON because it will ring up as the regular or sale price and count in the subtotal which is what the promotion is based on. The amount of the coupon is deducted after the subtotal and counts like “cash” or payment. However, if the store has a SALE that is BOGO, then the free item rings up as zero and therefore will not add to the subtotal needed to reach the $30.

    • Anonymous says:

Great question! Yes, it will work. If it were a BOGO SALE, it would not, but the coupon (your form of payment) will allow the sales price to count to your minimum. HTH!

    • Kylie says:

Welcome! you’re definitely in the right place! what you really need to do is click ‘find my store’ on the top of this page and click CVS. Then find the tab at the top that is CVS 101. That is where you will learn the real 411 on how everything works at CVS. Extra bucks print on the bottom of your receipt after purchasing qualifying items and you can consider that as cash. You can use 1 or 20 of them on your next transaction toward almost anything, excluding alcohol, cigarettes, stamps, gift cards… and a few other things. The “magic coupon machine” is a red box you’ll find probably in plain view once you walk in the door. You scan your card there and it will print store coupons which can be combined with manufacturer coupons. Scan it multiple times until it tells you to check back tomorrow. It also doubles as a price checker. KCL has amazing matchups each week letting us know what are all of the awesome deals are and which coupons to use. As for your first shopping trip goes… I would suggest buying just one thing with a coupon first to dip your feet in. A huge transaction can make even the most established couponer frazzled. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have! Oh by the way don’t ever buy toothpaste again unless it’s free!! :)

Read as much as you can on this site under CVS 101 and the other stores. Do not overwhelm yourself–it’s takes a little practice. The CVS extra Bucks spend like cash with very little restriction. Two of the restrictions are (1) your subtotal cannot go below zero or your ECB will be adjusted down and (2) you always have to pay the tax with cash/credit–no ECB. Walgreens rewards and RiteAid Up rewards are similar but with a few more restrictions.
Ex: Say you have $10 in Extra Care Bucks earned on previous purchases:
      (A) if your current purchases total $9.50 pretax you will either lose the 50 cents when the cashier adjusts the $10 ECB down to 9.50 or you can find a “filler” item to meet or exceed your $10 ECB value. You pay the taxes.
      (B) If your purchases total $10 your subtotal would be zero so you only pay the taxes;
      (C) if your purchases exceed $10, you pay the amount over $10 and you pay the taxes.
PS: MCM = magic coupon machine in CVS where you swipe your extracare card and receive CVS store coupons that can be used in addition to man. coupons.

CAN YOU STILL USE 1.50/1 COUPONS WITH FREE BIORE CLEANSER WYB ANY BIORE PORE STRIP? ISNT IT 2 MANUFACTURE COUPONS FOR 1 ITEM THEN?

    • Caitlin Huard says:

I was wondering about that too. I want to do that deal but I don’t want to break any rules.

    • Anonymous says:

The BOGO coupon will apply to the cleanser and the $1.50/1 will apply to the Pore strips, so it’s still 1 coupon per item. The wording on some BOGO coupons, like P&G coupons don’t allow you to use $$ off coupons with BOGO coupons. This particular coupon doesn’t prohibit it. However, some CVS stores don’t allow the use of BOGO coupons with $$ off coupons.

I’ve been couponing since March of this year. And I feel like I’m finally coming into my stride. There’s so many lessons I’ve learned along the way and I’m sure I have tons more to learn.

When you do your first trip, your oop (out-of-pocket) will be higher because you don’t have any extra-bucks to lower your total but your 2nd transaction/trip will be lower and you’ll have a chance to “roll” your extra-bucks. hope that helps :)

    • Eleidy2055 says:

Yes it does help. I feel better. I am so lost. I have tons of coupons from 8/1 but I’m not even sure how or when to use themCan you use your Ebuck as soon as you get them and are there any restrictions to use them? Like must spend 20 to use your 10 e bucks? And do they expire quickly. Thanks you’ve been so helpful

      • Anonymous says:

You can use your Extra Bucks on the next transaction :) And there are no restrictions or minimums to be able to use them.

      • recumbentrider says:

The only restriction is if your extra-bucks brings your subtotal below $0.00, your extra-buck will have to be adjusted. Example: Subtotal: $9.99 and you want to use a $10 extra-buck… the cashier will adjust the extra-buck to $9.99 and you’ll lose one cent but all you have to pay is taxes.

Also most extra-bucks expire 1 month after printed. Beauty Club & Green bag tag extra-bucks expire 2 weeks after printed.

And as to when to use your coupons… it’s best to check the weekly match-ups here on KCL.. Also the ‘$5.00 a week’ post is a GREAT way to start and learn. :)

The Pampers are part of a promotional deal “spend $30, receive $10 gas card.” With these groups of items, we break down the final price to incorporate the savings percentage IF you were to spend the minimum amount ($30 in this case). We do explain this a bit better in the matchup itself:
“Remember, the $30.00 subtotal must only be reached before you present
any coupons. The subtotal must reach $30.00 before sales tax. $10.00
back on a $30.00 purchase is a 33% savings. Final prices below reflect

I saw a CVS brand for $3.69 and in my experience the overage has been applied to the other items in my basket. Otherwise KCL posted a few days ago that children’s benadryl is $4.99 with a $1 mfr from a few weeks back would make it free! HTH!

    • Anonymous says:

I purchased an Alka Seltzer Allergy 24 pk @ $4.39 less a $2 Man Q less the $4 CVS q for a $1.61 money maker. I had other items to cover the overage.

  51. Melissa says:

Do you have to spend the $30 in one transaction to get the $10 gas card?

    • kylie says:

No all CVS deals will track on the bottom of your receipt!

    • Anonymous says:

That’s one of the unique and awesome things about CVS – you can split it up over several trips and all of your transactions will be tracked on your Extra Care account.

  52. Amy says:

Are the biore strips and cleansers included in the $10 gas card deal? I don’t see them listed in the circular.

    • kylie says:

Yes, the biore is included! It is listed with the picture of the jergens lotion! HTH!

    • Jen says:

I don’t see them either, I am looking at a scanned on online and it is clearisil not biore. Welll hope biore is in there cuz I love the stuff!

      • Anonymous says:

It’s in the wording where you see the white bottles of Jergens lotion… Cleanser, scrub, towelettes and pore strips are included ;)

    • Anonymous says:

Yep! They’re just not pictured in the ad :) HTH!

  53. Pete says:

I thought for the Biore deal you could not use another MC if you are already using a BOGO coupon?

    • kylie says:

The CVS policy allows you to use a coupon on the product you are paying for…if that makes sense :)

      • Courtney says:

I think the verbiage on the coupon restricts using both. I’m pretty sure the $1.50 off coupon says “cannot be combined with another offer”.

        • Anonymous says:

if you got the email for the $4 in extra bucks … that would make the deal a little sweeter without using the 1.50/1 q’s with it! I just sent my ECB to my card .. i’m going to do this deal .. since it’s almost like getting these items for free since i will need to get gas anyway =)

I just want to buy a bunch of radiant tampons/pads/liners that’ll last me a year! lol

    • Jenna says:

Radiant tampons/pads aren’t included in the sale this week! Just fyi.

    • Anonymous says:

It’s so nice to have a stash … i have some upstairs and downstairs!!! I buy if they are a great deal only!
Meijer had some radiant infinity a while back – 3.99 each and had an mperk online for them that combined with a 2.00/1 pg coupon from the first of the month …. so that made for super cheap pads! – i’m thinking the mperk was 2.00 or 1.50 .. so it was a great deal

I’m trying to get the Dimetapp coupon, but it keeps telling me I’m entering an invalid address. Anyone else having this problem?

    • Anonymous says:

I just printed mine out and didn’t have any issues. Maybe try it again or restart your computer and try it again?

    • Stephanie says:

Yes, I’m having the same issue. It doesn’t like the street address portion of my address, but I’m enterint it correctly, and have never had any issues getting my mail or entering it on other sites!

    • Anonymous says:

Hmm. I’m not sure what is happening. If you continue to have trouble, see if there is a tech support option on their website :)

    • Jenna says:

Just FYI I work at CVS & at my store we accept expired CVS coupons within a few days. I would ask an employee at your CVS & see what their policy is.

    • Anonymous says:

depending if your store is a 24 hours store – then it usually kicks in at midnight but the stores that close early usually start the sale after 4 pm. i didn’t make it today – i am waiting on my .75/1 dawn hand renewal in the paper!!! =)

I’m confused! With the restriction on the Stayfree coupon, in order to get six products and use the $2 coupon, do I have to break it up into six different transactions?
