Dear Heather and Joanie, I LOVE your videos (and seeing Heather’s baby bump!) and hope they continue. My request is for you to add a category here at KCL just for videos so that they are all in one place and easy to find. Thanks!

Just a little FYI – I have NEVER had a problem with any Staples Rebates I have ever done and I’ve been doing them for 4-5 yrs. until now. During the wk. of 8/12 – 8/18, Staples had a ream of HammerMill paper in their ad with an easy rebate. (limit 2) $6.99 – $5.99 easy rebate = $1. (+tax). So I picked up the 2 reams and submitted for my $11.98 rebate. Then a couple of days later I rec’d an email with a coupon to print which said “FREE after easy rebate and with this coupon.” It was for the HammerMill CopyPlus Ream with a limit of 2 per customer. So I went back to the store and bought 2 reams, handed in my emailed coupons and submitted my info online for that rebate thinking that these were 2 different offers and that everything was OK. Well, today I rec’d a postcard in the mail which reads: Dear Customer: Thank you for participating in the promotion. Unfortunately we could not honor your request due to the following reason(s): HammerMill Copy Plus Paper – Product Limit Exceeded. It also has Resubmissions, Dept 12-11583 which is the Rebate Offer Number that was assigned to BOTH of these deals. I really think that these were meant to have 2 different Rebate Offer Numbers since they are different deals. One deal was going to cost me $1. (+tax) a ream and the other was going to cost me just the tax. I’m still trying to figure out which receipt I’ll be taking back to the store when I return 2 of the reams of paper. The tracking number on the postcard does not match either of the tracking numbers on the confirmations I printed out for these deals.

You missed the Walgreens deal on 5pk papermate mechanical pencils or 10pk pens
    for .29 cents

The paper at Staple’s is FREE after rebate! There is a $2 coupon and you can print 2 since you can rebate up to 2 HammerMill Copy paper reams. It is good until 9/1/12. I made a tiny url link for you to get the coupon!

I picked up two reams for myself and my Mother got two also! Use the Easy Rebate at Staple’s website. Save the stamp and it is EASY!

School already started here too, so Staples and Office Max did not have any of the deals on the video. I guess back to school shopping season is very short here. I was able to pick up rulers for .05 and pencils for .25 at Office Max, then I headed to Toys R Us for the crayons. Thank goodness I already bought all my daughters stuff, I was just out looking for stock up deals and items to donate. My daughters school is taking donations for school supplies now.

Do you just have to purchase a total of $5 to get all the items for pennies or is it $ get paper for 1 cent. Another $5 get another paper for 1 cent?

    • strawberry_nd says:

At Staples you have to spend $5 (minimum) on other items then the penny deals are 1 cent each with different limits for different items weekly.

    • Jcatz824 says:

I don’t understand what you are talking about?? There is no paper for 1 cent but there are 3 extreme 1 cent deals – Staples #2 yellow pencils, 8 pk; Staples pink cap erasers, 12 pk; and Slider pencil boxes. Each of the 1 cent deals has a limit of 4 with one $5. purch. which does not include the cost of the items or any tax involved.

  7. strawberry_nd says:

Just got back from Staples after seeing today’s video. My region was not doing the penny deals but they honored the price for: Staples pencil top erasers pink limit 4 * Staples #2 pencils 8 pk limit 4 * Staples slide pencil boxes limit 4
Also an FYI the Puffs 3 pk tissue on sale this week at Staples has P&G coupons on the packaging ($5 value!)
Dont forget to look for the school supply donation box in your store “Staples for students” with Bella Thorne from Disney’s “Shake it Up”. It goes to needy kids in your area. :)

It’s my favorite time to stock up as well! My children are notorious for needing last minute school supplies. Stockpiling these items is such a time, money and gas saver. The visual provided with videos makes quite an overall impact. Thanks!
