  1. mindi says:

I stacked the buy 3 get $5 free coupon with a bogo Pantene coupon… and on the receipt it shows $5.00 charged for the gift card. WTF? I have not gone back to fight this with CS, but that makes the math completely wrong…did they screw up my order, anybody else have this issue?

  2. Noreen says:

I bought 3 shampoo and 3 conditioner. $5.54 each x 3 Total of 33.24, but I used 3 B1G1 so they subtracted at the end 5.54 x 3= 16.62 which is the total out of pocket i paid for, but I also had 2 coupon for $5 gift card when you purchase 3 Pantene products (coupon states it has to be 25.4 oz). So I received 2 $5 gift card since I did purchased 6 (prior to manufacture coupon). If you look at the receipt it makes sense why you can’t use the gift card you get from the purchase. Target scans a $5 gift card as if you purchased the gift card and then subtracts $5. Its all grouped together as a promotional package. You can’t use the $5 gift card because it’s part of your purchase. Your actually buying the $5 gift card and they are subtracting $5. So 16.62 (out of pocket) – $10 worth of gift card= 6.62. What a steal for 6 big bottles of pantene.

  3. slinnAnna says:

In case i am not making any sense i would be going to the register with 4 bottles of shampoo and conditioner and two b1 G1, plus the target $5.00 coupon

  4. slinnAnna says:

will i still be able to do this deal with only two B1 G1 and the coupon for the $5.00 gift card. Am i technically buying 3 even though i am really only be paying for two. It will be more per bottle this way but i think it will still be a good deal. I only got two papers.

  5. La Michoacana says:

i went to the target were i live and i got the 6 pantene and use 3 coupon of by one get one free and use 2 free $5 target gift card and they charge me 24.76 dollars i told them why it has to be 16.62 and they said they they don’ go by the special you girls put in the web :(

    • sully says:

they are supposed to give you the price on the store ad. Did you check the store ad or look at the tag before making the purchase. sale prices may varied by area so we always have to check

  6. my target said I could not get more than one gift card in same transaction. They would only let me use 3 BOGO and one gift card!! I hate how they all say different things. Bc i had another friend go and she got to use 3 BOGO, $1/2 and the gift cards!

  7. Teresa.K says:

Hey Minnesota, They had them coupons in the Star Tribune, That is the paper that I go and get..

  8. Lauren says:

Can you also get the PG $5/$25 rebate with this purchase?

  9. Bell says:

ok so im sorry im confused we can use two 5$ giftcard even if we r not paying for the other 3 pantene?

  10. Amber jones says:

I did this deal yesterday bought 4 Pantenes and 2 of the hair color!!!!!!!!!!! Getting more coupons from co-workers so i can do it again :)

  11. Jenette says:

I have one of these to trade. let me know if you want this coupon.

  12. Prete says:

I’m in Utah and I can’t find the $5 target gift card insert :(
Is it inside RP book of coupons or where?

  13. Rachel says:

Is there actually a coupon for the $5 free in the redplum or is it just listed as an in-store promotion? I didn’t get the redplum insert in my paper (it was missing, grr) but my friend did and says she didn’t see a coupon for it.

  14. Liz says:

I did the Pantene deal today and realized when I got in the minivan that all 3 coupons took off $6.99 for the free one. Did this happen to anyone else?

    • ashley says:

i think that is happening to everyone also. im going wednesday. cant wait!

    • Anonymous says:

The same thing happened to me, plus they were on sale for $5.24 a bottle! And I payed with my Target card to get 5% off, Even better! Ended up being $0.37 per bottle! : )

    • Srn says:

Finally got mine today and they did take off $6.99!

  15. Minnesota says:

I don’t think Target in MN has these awesome deals. I don’t remember seeing the $5 gift card advertising in my target when buy 3 Pantene or Clairol

  16. Nikki says:

Were the target coupons in the target paper or in the actual coupon insert? I don’t think we got them in Charleston, SC either :(

    • Anonymous says:

They were in the Red Plum insert.

      • simple says:

are the inserts regional? I’m in fresno ca and my ss an rp don’t have the same coupons as others. This week mine don’t have the $5 target, no mitchum, or hershey’s simple pleasure.

  17. Bernadette says:

Spokane didn’t get the Red Plum $5.00 target coupon, darn.

  18. kaystep33 says:

Can we use gift cards from other deals to lower are OOP?

    • Anonymous says:

Absolutely! You can use the gift card earned in one transaction to pay for another. It doesn’t matter if it’s the same deal. You just can’t use the gift card on the transaction in which you earn it.

    • Anonymous says:

And if the cashier tries to give you a hard time you just look cross eyed back at her (him) and politely say this is a new transaction. I have had a couple try that little number on me.

  19. btrzbrown says:

Target coupons for the $5 GC were regional?

  20. kmarie414 says:

for the first secenario, how did you figure it would be 16.62 oop. I keep coming up with 22.16. Help.

    • alana says:

i think she meant to say use 3 B1G1

    • cynthia says:

For the first scenario you will be buying 6 all together but paying for 3 when using the b1g1 coupon. $5.54 x 3 = $16.62. Add the 2 $5 gc coupons = $10 so you end up paying $6.62 for 6 bottles of pantene. hth.

      • Stasia says:

What happens if they don’t allow you to use the $5 gc right away, then you would pay out of pocket correct?

        • koupon korner says:

they will not allow you to use them in the same transaction, you have to use the gift cards on the next transaction. My Target will not let me use them on the same transaction that I got them on. Does anyone else’s Target allow them to use the gc right then?

          • sim says:

The cashiers at my Targets always tell me that they won’t work until the next day.

            • rachiti says:

I’ve used the one I get for the very next transaction and it’s active. Once the sale with the gift card in it is complete, the gift card is immediately active – that’s how their gift card system is set up – it activates it as it’s “purchased” regardless of whether it’s one you’re paying for or one you’re getting as a kickback.

            • Anonymous says:

They’ll work on the very next transaction. There’s no waiting period. You just can’t use them on the transaction you earn them in.

            • Anonymous says:

Next time they say that, just play dumb and say, “Well, scan it, let’s see…” And when it works, with a big smile on your face, say “Oh look! It worked! I guess you learn something new every day!”

          • sully says:

nope no target allows you to use them on the transaction you earn them. They let you use it on your next transaction do even if its the same day

  21. cynthia says:

If you’re buying 6 Pantene, can’t you use 3 b1g1 coupons and a target gc coupon together?

    • Anonymous says:

You’re right! The math was done that way, I just accidentally wrote two instead of three. I’ve updated it. Thanks for catching that!

  22. J says:

The only catch with the free gift cards is you can’t use them in the same transaction. You could purchase your hair care items separately then use the cards on the rest of your purchase, this is the only savings you truly get right? Or am I missing something?

    • alana says:

i was thinking of doing the deal and then taking the gift cards to buy 4 of the smaller bottles. i’ve still spent 16.12 OOP but now i have 10 bottles which works out to 1.61 per bottle.

    • Anonymous says:

Correct. You can’t use the gift cards in the transaction you earn them. Final Prices are calculated after accounting for the gift card.
