Thanks KCL!! Just picked some up today for a moneymaker! Love those deals! And FYI – Vitamin D has a ton of great uses! It’s great for supporting your immune system and essential for your body to be able to absorb calcium (among other uses). That’s why you see some milk with Vitamin D added. I’m a Master Public Health student right now, and I’ve been learning a lot about nutrition lately! HTH!

my doctor just prescribed Vit D2 for me…1.25mg (50,000 unit), taken twice a week because of my Vitamin D deficiency… i had melanoma back in 1999 so i dont get as much sun exposure as a normal person would and the sun IS what gives your body vitamin D…it is very important to your body. My doc said they use to never check vitamin D when doing blood work but because it is so vital to your body and ppl are not getn the exposure to the sun because of skin cancer and melanoma they are getting more concerned about it.

Vitamin D is absolutely essential. I just recently found that out from my Dr. who said I had a severe Vitamin D deficiency. I won’t go into all the stuff it does you can google it if you are interested, but 400 units is only about 1/2 of the amount my Dr. said is recommended, so you might want to take 2, particularly in the winter
