Is it true that CVS doesn’t allow you to use coupons that are alike?? I showed them the 3 $2.00/ 2 and they DENIED it because I can only use “1 coupon per purchase.” THey said this was new and i want a confirmation.

ok. so last night was my very first couponing experience. i went to cvs and did the $12 and get 4 ecb. it all worked out. i got 6 glade fall collection sprays. 0.99 each and 2 scrubbing bubbles 2/$6 . i used $2/2 scrubbing bubbles and 3/$2 off for the glade. so it worked out and i got my 4.00 ecb. but now on my reciept it say ” glade spend 12 get 4 ecb” “amount toward this reward 11.94″ ” amount needed to earn reward 0.6″ what does that mean. because at the bottom of my reciept .. i did indeed recieve the 4.00.

so i went to 2 cvs today looking for the 9oz and i didnt find any what should i do

  7. Anonymous says:

Hi Kelly! One coupon per purchase simply means one coupon per item purchased. It is standard verbiage on every coupon to ensure that people don’t attempt to use more than one manufacturer coupon on the same item. Hope that helps!

  8. faith says:

isn’t it a limit of 1 for these items?

  9. Gladys2110 says:

How can you use the 2.00/2 off glade coupon or 1.00/1 off for the glade spray for the glade spray in cvs for .99 when it says in the coupon excludes room spray??

  10. guisi says:

Bummer, I just got back from CVS and the girl said they no longer accept printable coupons. Has anyone else had this experience? She said they re not getting credit from the companies.

  11. KaylaLeigh says:

So this should cost $4 cash… and then you will receive $4 EB, right?

  12. KaylaLeigh says:

Soooo.. i’m going to attempt this tomorrow! i’m a little confused about extra bucks, is it like $1 for every $1 you spend? I mean, if I get $4 extra bucks back after this purchase, will that be $4 I can use to spend in store?

I read about this, but am still a little confused….

    • Anonymous says:

If you receive $4 EB it is like $4 cash. You can use it like cash to reduce your out of pocket expense, but you still have to pay any tax owed. EX: If you buy $4 worth of goods and the tax owed is 25 cents, you give the $4 EB and pay 25 cents cash/credit to cover the taxes. If you buy for $3.75 and the tax is 25 cents, you give the $4 EB (lose 25 cents) and still owe 25 cents in tax. Try to always have enough product PRE TAX to cover the amount of any EB you use so you do not lose any of the EB value.

    • Anonymous says:

ExtraBucks are like cash to spend in the store on most anything (see the fine print for restrictions, such as stamps, alcohol, etc). Just remember that your subtotal, before taxes, will need to be $4 or more. At least if you want to get the most out of it. Some cashiers will reduce your EB if your subtotal is under the amount. You will have to pay tax.

  13. Crystal says:

This deal did not work for me:( I only used one $2/2 airfreshner and one $2/2 scrubbing bubbles my total was $8. ?? … Was I suppose to do two transactions to pay forone with the extra bucks I earned ? Help

    • Anonymous says:

Review the scenario given above. You had to spend $12 ($11.76 w/ the 98% rule), use 3 $2/2 Q for the air freshener and 1 $2/2 for the bath cleaner. The scenario given buys $11.94 in product and uses $8 in Q leaving a $4 balance and you receive the $4 EB making it free. You spent $8 because you only used 1 $2/2 Q for the air fresheners instead of 3 like in the scenario.

      • Anonymous says:

        Thanks EveyG!

      • Crystal says:

thank you for clearing that for me. I had a total of $12. But only had 4$ off in Q . So I get it now I should had 4 Q and I would ha e paid $4 OOP and received $4 in eb for a future purchase ??? Correct?

        • Anonymous says:

Correct. You still got a great deal considering you paid $8 OOP less the $4 EB for 6 sprays and 2 bath cleaners!! It can be confusing and sometimes you have to read the scenarios closely. KCL tries to give different options on what coupons can be applied to the deal because not everyone gets the same coupons or has the same quantity of coupons for the products. The more you do the deals it will become easier to see what deals are best for you and what options you can do with the coupons you have. Good Luck!!

    • Anonymous says:

Crystal, how many items did you purchase?

      • Crystal says:

I purchased 6) sprays and 2 bubbles total $8.?? I’m new to this and guess I didn’t understand the scenario. I didn’t knw I was suppose to use total of 4 Q’s. I do see options “use three” but as I continue reading I chose the 2 of the last 3 option. Thought I could choose and option bc it kept reading “use three …OR….Or….Or….AnD…Or” so I chose 1 of the first 4 and 1 of last options. Thanks you all, I should have asked before trying deal. Thanks:)

        • Anonymous says:

6 sprays at $0.99 each and 2 scrubbing bubbles at $3.00 each should have brought you to just under $12.00 before coupons. Not $8.00. After 3 $2.00/2 glade coupons, and 1 $2.00/2 scrubbing bubbles coupon, your subtotal would be $4.00 (a total of $8 in coupons). Does that help?

  14. sug says:

if the first glade coupon says EXCLUDING room spray & glade air freshner. How is it possible that we can use this coupon when the item purchase is a room spray?

  15. Michelle Earls says:

Do you have to buy all 8 at the same time?…I thought this said six and then I did not get my 4 dollar rewards and I had to pay 4.61. Right after I knew I was wrong and went back to get two more…I asked the cashier to void my first transaction so that I would get it rand up the way I needed and they said it would work out right…Well I got two more and had to pay another 2.11!!!!! Then I finally seen at the bottom of my receipt the 4 dollars! Very confused……help!

    • Anonymous says:

I am not clear on what you purchased, but in the scenario given by KCL you had to buy 6 air fresheners and 2 bath cleaners. You do not have to buy them all together because CVS tracks the spending on your card and shows it on the bottom of your receipt. It really does not matter how many of what product, what combination, or how many transactions you do as long as you meet the $12 requirement to trigger the EB. Again, not knowing what you actually purchased or what coupons you used it is hard to say what happened in your case. It seems you did not meet the $12 requirement in the first transaction and when you made the second purchase you met the $12 and it triggered the EB. Look on the bottom of your first receipt and it should tell you Amt toward reward and then Amt needed to earn reward and then on the second receipt it should say Offer limit reached..

    • Anonymous says:

You don’t need to purchase everything in one transaction, as long as you use the same ExtraCare card for each transaction. As EveyG stated, this scenario requires that you purchase SIX 9oz sprays and TWO Scrubbing Bubbles. I’m unclear what you purchased and what you returned and repurchased, but hopefully you got some clarification from Evey that helps shed some light on your specific situation :)

      • Michelle Earls says:

I bought 4 glade and 2 scrubbing bubbles and then the second transaction I bought 2 more glade to try and correct my error. I still do not understand why I had to pay almost 7 dollars…can you help clear this up??? I used three 2.00 coupons on the first transaction. The sprays were also 9oz.

        • Anonymous says:

I’m not sure. Keep in mind that you will still have to pay tax and that will increase your OOP (out of pocket). Also, I’m not sure how your return affected your deal: whether it reset you to zero items toward the deal, or not. I wish I could offer you more help, but it’s hard for me to say what went wrong, and at which point it happened. If I understand your original question, and transaction correctly, you should have paid $10, minus $6 in coupons. Leaving you with a subtotal of $4 (plus tax). If you returned to purchase the other two glade at $.99 each, minus another $2/2 coupon, you should have just paid tax. All in all, the OOP would be $4 plus tax, even if you split it over 2 transactions. HTH.

  16. marcyann says:

I just did this deal today. I got 8 apple cinnamon glade air fresheners and two scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaners. After coupons and rr’s. I only paid 34 cents. And received $5.00 in rr’s!!! that’s my kinda deal!!

  17. Anonymous says:

    Nice job!

  18. abby says:

I have a $2/2 glade fall collection and it has pictures of diferent type of glade..Is this part of call collection?

    • Anonymous says:

If there are 9 oz Fall Collection sprays at your store, you can use that coupon. The Powder Fresh is not a fall collection product.

  19. Anonymous says:

Try a different browser–Firefox, Chrome, etc. sometimes that works

  20. Anonymous says:

If they are not adjusting each coupon down, the third one will need to be adjusted down to compensate for all 3 ($0.01 for each item)

  21. Caitlin says:

Does anyone know if the scrubbing bubbles are a sale price? I am wondering if they are regular price and I would be able to use my 25% coupon on them as well… That would be a great MM. If not, still free – which is awesome! I think this is the best week of couponing yet… there are a lot of regular priced items with EB’s attatched :)

  22. N@y says:

My CVS had new bottles that were 8oz. I was afraid I would not be able to use the coupon. I had to look behind the 8oz and happen to find exactly 6 9oz bottles! Was able to get this great deal!

  23. N@y says:

My 3rd $2/2 beeped, but the cashier asked to adjust it down to $1.94 and it went through.

  24. Bhappy says:

After I came home, I noticed I was 6 cents short from getting the Reward even though the prices were exactly the same. If i go back and buy one more Glade item, will I automatically get the $4?

    • morgan says:

Did you get the $4EB at checkout ?

    • asw0627 says:

I was wondering the exact same thing. And yes, I did get the $4 ECBs.

    • Anonymous says:

No, if you received the EB, you reached your threshold and limit. It will update in a couple of days and show up on your receipt as having satisfied the requirements (with none left).

    • Anonymous says:

You should have gotten the EB if you did the same scenario listed. CVS has a 98% rule–you only need to spend 98% of the required amount to receive the EB. In this case 98% of $12 = $11.76. If you bought 6 sprays and 2 Bath cleaner you spent .99 x 6 = $5.94 + $3 x 2 =$6 for a total of $11.94. You are within the 98% so the EB should have printed. If it says you are 6 cents short on the bottom of your receipt, it is because the sprays were 99 cents, not $1. If the deal is limit one, and you received your EB, you have reached the limit. If you have not received the EB call Customer Service or go back to the store and speak to a manager.

      • Bhappy says:

I actually made a mistake- I did get the 4$Bucks for the Glade products. I thought I didn’t because I was missing 6 cents. It’s good to know about the rule of 98%. Thanks! What I did not get was the $4 Bucks back for the Venus razor. It even cost more than the display said so I’m taking it back. Thank you for the info.

  25. paula says:

I have a cvs flyer with the ad but no coupons….where can I get the coupons?

    • Anonymous says:

Click on the links to the printable coupons in this post to print the coupons. You can find the Scrubbing Bubbles coupon in this week’s Smart Source insert (that’s what SS 9/23/12 stands for).

  26. Linda says:

Did anyone use the fall collection coupon for the Glade spray deal? I haven’t gone yet and only have (2) $2 coupons. I need a third and can get a fall coupon.

  27. Seema says:

so I have one $2/2 fall collection coupon from SS 9/23, can I combine it with two other printed coupons so that I can get this deal or do I need three of the same kinds of coupons?

    • Anonymous says:

You don’t need 3 of the same coupons, you only need to be sure the coupons match the items you’re purchasing. So for the “fall collection” coupons, be sure you’re buying appropriate items. HTH!

  28. morgan says:

Ive never bragged on here BUT I went and did this deal earlier with a few other things..here is what I did.

I noticed on page 4 of CVS, the 10 for $10 deal shows Hormel Chili for $1, I have $1/2 Hormel Chili from 9/9 SS. hope my CVS has them in stock.I need Chili for 50 cents.

  30. Stephanie S says:

i used 3 coupons like you said for the glade i used one for the scrubbing bubbles and i already had 4 extra carebucks so i got everything for 78 cents!!! (: all of the glad sprays were 99 cents on sale. was not just the fall collection. (: thank you!! (:

  31. soileaufamily says:

This was my first attempt at couponing! It was great because it was successful. The other nice party was my step daughter and I bonded. We went and picked up the papers this morning and then clipped the coupons together. Then we both went to CVS and enjoyed the fruits of our labor! : )

Just one question. I was just given 3 more coupons for the 2.00/2 glade sprays and I have another 2.00/2 for scrubbing bubbles. Can I back to CVS today and do another purchase? Then use my $4.00 Extra Care bucks that I earned earlier today from the first purchase?

    • kylie says:

Since this particular promotion has a limit of one, you can only receive the extra bucks once per card. What a fun hobby to bond with your stepdaughter :) if she lives in a different household though she could get a card so you girls could do the deal again! HTH!!

    • Anonymous says:

Awww!! How sweet! As Kylie stated, the limit on this promo is 1.

    • N@y says:

You can go back to CVS and get this awesome deal again and use your $4 ECB and get it for even cheaper, but you won’t be able to get another $4.

  32. jen says:

I tried this and the cashier said she couldnt use the coupon due to it excluding solid air freshener. Is that accurate?

  33. jen says:

I just left cvs and cashier said i couldnt use the qp due to it saying it excludes silid air freshener? Is that accurat

    • Anonymous says:

The coupon states “excluding 8 oz Room Spray and Glade Solid Air Freshener.” The 9 oz spray cans are neither of those, so it should have worked :)

  34. auugst says:

    Dumb question, sorry!

  35. august says:

I’ve been taking a break from couponing so I’m not familiar with this promo. Can just buy 4 of the scrubbing bubbles and still get this deal?

    • Lola says:

Sure you can! As long as it’s worth $12.00 of the participating products. (:

    • nd says:

They just did the sprays because it would end up being free.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, there are multiple ways to work this deal – many participating items. Be sure to see our weekly matchup (pinned to the top of our CVS page) for all options!

      • eda says:

So what will it be if i buy 6 glade sprays @ $0.99 and use 3 $2.00/2 coupons and 2 windex @ 2/$6? Am I able to use 2 $1.00/2 coupons and $0.55/1 coupon all combined?

        • Anonymous says:

One coupon per item purchased, or specified on the coupon. If you’re using a $1.00/2 windex, you can buy 2 products. You would not be able to use a second coupon as that one applies to both items.

    • sully says:

yes, thats what i did i bought 4 scrubbing bubbles since i run out of it and got my 4 ecbs

  36. august says:

Recyclebank marked the coupon down to just 60 points! Discounts on coupons for free items? Score!
