Couple of questions on the buy $30 get 10ECB deal. Is this deal listed on your receipt as the Gain offer? If so on the my receipt it says amount needed to earn reward $30. I have already done the deal so does this mean you can do it again?

  2. Anonymous says:

is the wet and wild deal regional because i dont see it in the ad, could someone tell me if it’s valid in new york?

  3. Anonymous says:

I just got a $5/$30 coupon. That will work on anything, correct?

  4. Pam says:

My printable list is printing blank…Is this an error on your website ? or something I am not doing right…I print all the time the lists with no problem, so I am not sure why it isn’t doing it right now…

Usually this means you are not logged in. The other suggestion I would have, if you keep having issues, is to try a different browser. HTH!

I have a different kind of question about the 25% coupon. It’s definitely a great week at CVS so on Sunday I bought $82 worth or items pre-coupons, expecting to save a nice chunk when my 25% applies and spending about $14 oop. I only used the $4/12 cosmetics CVS mcm and another (free Salma Hayek Nuance am/pm), but the rest were mfq’s and a $15 ECB. I even had the print out of the 25% off (from mcm) and I mentioned it to the cashier as I was checking out. I saw the register screen pop up asking if she should apply it or not and I told her YES, but somehow it did not factor into my reciept at all! When I asked her about it after the reciept printed out, she said it doesnt apply to sales/promotional items!! It didnt make sense, why would the screen pop up? I bought pretty much same deals the rest of you did, with exception of the free Nuance am/pm which was free after mcm. My sister who pretty much did the same deal at her CVS had her 25% apply which saved her an extra $20! I spoke to the manager who was disctracted and quickly said doesnt apply to sales/promo items, so I left doubting myself. But the more posts I see saying it worked for everyone buying the exact same items, the more I’m bummed for me – happy for you of course!_ : ) It’s $20! Can each CVS make its own rules about how and to what the 25% is applied? Just wondering what I can do, if anything in a situation like this : (

    • mrn1 says:

Most everything I bought this week was on sale so my 25% coupon didn’t work at all. Are you sure your items weren’t sale items? What items are you talking about that you think the 25% should have applied to?

      • Anonymous says:

Hmmm, yes some items were sales/promo items, guess I was under assumption the 25% works on those…after reading a few hopeful scenario by Barb1222 above and a couple others seeing the same items repeated… so then its right they dont work on sales/promo and that is standard for everyone? Silly paranoid ole me thought I was being singled out! haha…
        This is what I bought:
        schick Quatro Razor = 9.99
        Aquaphor lip = 9.98
        Physicians formula eye liners= 12.49
        Nexxus @ 9.99
        Nexxus @10.99
        Venus razor = 8.49
        Zantacx2= 8.99 + 8.99
        Salma Hayek am/pm = 4.99

        • Anonymous says:

Based on this list, the only thing that is considered “sale price” is the Zantac (I think…I didn’t buy it, so I’m not sure). The other items are all regular price so the 25% should have come off. Are you sure that the register took the coupon off? On your receipt, after your purchase and before it tracks your spending, does it say “25% off coupon, redeemed in this transaction”?

        • recumbentrider says:

I agree with Elizarae and I would add that the Salma Hayek would have scanned as a “cvs coupon” and any coupon that scans as a “cvs coupon” would reduce the savings of the % off… so the % off should have come off schick, aquaphor, physicians, nexxus and venus…

When kind of ECB were you using? It matters because beauty club rewards scans as a “cvs coupon”. BUT If you were using extra bucks earned from a weekly deal than that wouldn’t affect the % off… those scan as a “cvs mfr coupon”

          • Anonymous says:

Thanks for the feedback Elizarae and Recumbentider. Yes, I dissected my reciept way too many times since, trying to wrap my brain around it, nowhere on there is there a discount for the 25% off. I even went through breakdown of each coupon deducted making sure they matched each product and the ECB’s, but nada. The Extrabucks I used were just ones I had from a purchase the prior week, not beauty club rewards. Ugh, I even hesitated with the Salma Hayek deal, thinking maybe I should do a seperate transaction for it. That probably threw everything off then? Otherwise, I bet the cashier messed up and didnt apply 25% maybe pressed no instead of yes (I looked down at my coupons after register screen popped question) and the manager just said “sale/promo item” without reviewing my reciept and items I bought and I’m out of luck! :(

    • Anonymous says:

The 25% off coupon won’t work on sale items, which includes BOGO sales. And some coupons will effect it, such as forced-through EBs, expired EBs, and a few others. HTH!

  6. sscake19 says:

If you have a ton of covergirl & dawn coupons you can do the promo P&G deal I did.
    4 dawn – $0.88
    4 dawn w/olay – $0.88
    1 covergirl eye shadow – $3.99
    1 covergirl eye shadown – $1.99 (b1g1 50%)
    3 covergirl eye shadow – $3.89
    3 covergirl eye shadow – $1.94 (b1g1 50%)
    Total: $30.52
    Used 4 – $0.50/1 dawn
    Used 4 – $0.75/1 dawn olay
    Used 4 – $3/2 covergirl
    ***Used 2 – $4 off $12 CVS CRT
Paid: $5.52 and received $10 EB
(was done in multiple CVS and 1 transaction I did use the $10 off $50 purchase with other items….)

  7. sscake19 says:

Clearance alert moms!!! CVS has the enfamil ready feed 0-12 formula – big yellow box- on clearance for $5.44!!! If you have some of your $5/1 ANY enfamil product – check ur local CVS!! (Remember to scan it – not all CVS had the 75% sign)…. I bought 2 with my left over coupons and used the 25% coupon to make it a moneymaker!!! :) (and another 2 at another store! Paid $0.44 each!) It was a good shopping day on monday!

      Thanks for sharing!

    • asw0627 says:

That’s a BIG thank you to you for sharing this deal! Had already used my $5 off coupon, but I was able to use a $3 off coupon and got two boxes for $4.48 plus tax. I had ECBs so my OOP was only $0.67! Winning and saving on formula!

  8. alyssa says:

went to cvs today and he wouldnt let me use any % off anything that got ecb’s back. and he said that if the computer didnt prompt him to give us the % off when he scanned our ec card then he wont do it. so how can i use the 20% off to get better deals if he wouldnt let me use it on anything that was sale/clearance and he said if it gets ecb’s then its on “sale”. even if its full price. ???

    • recumbentrider says:

what items were you doing? the nexxus deal works… it’s regular priced but get ecb’s… the dove deal is a sale price so that wouldn’t work (examples)… if you had items the were valid with the % off you could…

      1) try a different cashier/cvs…

      2) send it to your card (dunno if you did that). When it’s sent to your
card it will prompt the cashier to ASK you if you want to use it (..
they also can see how much you can save with the coupon)

… why would the computer do that if it wasn’t allow. If the cashier
doesn’t ask you if you want to use it… the MCM will print a slip with
you % off info… give it to her/him to scan it. Hopefully they will get
      the point.

      3) Buy one thing at regular price…with no ECB’s.. it can be a piece of
candy or whatever.. when he/she scans the % coupon it will take the %
off of all the items in your transaction the are not excluded from the
      coupon.

      4) Ask to speak to a manager / call CS

One more thing… they are right about sale & clearance but not the **regular price** ecb deals… the % off WILL work! good luck!

      • alyssa says:

well my mom did her transactions first. she had got hair accessories that were buy 2 get 1 free, full price if only 1 tho. she had one and it was 3.99 she wanted to use 25% off the get it down to almost 3 so she could use her $3 ecb and pay little oop and he said no because of that. and then i tried the schick razor deal (had to get raincheck) and he said even if they had it i couldnt use it because it got ecb’s. i was confused. he was an arrogant jerk anways i think i will go 10 miles further to go to the other cvs cause hes ALWAYS there. uggh. he hates me cause i go in there like 2-3 times a week lol

        • alyssa says:

and i got like 10 20% offs from the mcm…does that mean i can use them all? or is it 1 per card?

        • Angela says:

          Report him to corporate.

        • recumbentrider says:

i posted a reply to this but it’s waiting for a MOD to approve it.

i wish we had a PM system here on KCL… I would send you my guide to using the % off coupon.

      • alyssa says:

also if i do use it on the nexxus. does it take 20% off total, or 1 individually? if it does total thats awesome! that leaves only pennies!!! =)

        • recumbentrider says:

the % off coupon comes off subtotal of qualifying items… so you if you have $20 worth of nexxus you could save $4 with a 20% off.

You should also know that SOME coupons will reduce the % off coupon savings… these include beauty club reward, gbt and any coupon that scans as a “cvs coupon”. Coupons that scan as a “cvs mfr coupon” (like extra bucks earned from weekly deals) will not affect the % coupon… and MQ won’t reduce the savings of the % off.

        • sscake19 says:

I did the nexxus deal and it took it off both items, since they are both regular price. The cashier does not make the decision on what the 25% gets applied to, the computer does that. I would send your % coupons to your card and make sure to tell the cashier you want to use it. (Mine always ask and it will be done at the end of ringing up items and scanning coupons)

      • bamabragger says:

I didn’t get an answer above so I’m posting again! I hope somebody knows the answer. I just did the
buy 30/$10 EB of P&G today. The total was 29.86. I bought CG and Gain.
It printed the $10 EB, but at the bottom of receipt it says “Gain:
spend 30 get 10 – amt toward reward 29.86 – amt needed to earn .14
cents” Is there a separate Gain deal that I don’t know about which is
accumulated from purchases in the past? I don’t understand why it says
this and it already printed my $10. If I buy another Gain will I get $10 EB?? Or am I crazy?? lol

    • Anonymous says:

He really can’t refuse to scan it… that doesn’t seem right to me. If he scans the coupon and allows it to do what it’s programmed to do, there shouldn’t be a problem. I would call corporate if this cashier continues to not “let” you use a coupon.

  9. Anonymous says:

Did anyone do the Nexxus deal already? I did it on Monday and got my $10 ecb but on my receipt it said $20 need to spend to get the reward. So is the limit on the reward more than 1?

    • recumbentrider says:

      yup.. i think it’s 7 … monthly deal!

      • sscake19 says:

Really? I am $19 away from another $10 and I have more coupons. I didn’t want to get too brave like I did with the gillette deal last week… the bottom of receipt said I need 1 to get the EB… I did the deal 3 times with EB printed… and got brave to use my last coupon and no EB… although receipt still said I needed 1 to reach limit!

  10. FrenjaminBanklin says:

I need your collective coupon wisdom: I just went to the CVS website and had a $4 extrabuck waiting to print. I printed it and it says it’s for my summer spending. Then I noticed it didn’t block me from printing again…and again…and again. What’s up with this? Is it breaking my quarterly reward up into $4 ECB’s? I don’t want to keep printing if I’m just wasting ink and only one will be accepted. What should I do?

  11. momstar2 says:

Does anyone know how many times you can do the Dove/Degree deal? I’ve done it twice now and my receipt still says I haven’t reached my limit!

    • mrn1 says:

I read somewhere 7. It has been running for 2 months now. I am on my 6th deal over the past 2 months.

  12. Lauren says:

The shelf was cleared so I had to get a raincheck for 4 Almay makeup removers. I have a CVS $4/$12 coupon that expires today, will they honor it when I redeem my raincheck? I even had the guy write on the raincheck that I have the coupon.

    • Anonymous says:

According to their website FAQs, they WILL honor CRT (coupon machine) coupons attached to a raincheck, even if they’re expired.

  13. Stephanie says:

My P and G didn’t limit me to just 1!

  14. Woody Green says:

hi this is my plan, will this work.i will buy 4 charmin,4 bountyand 4 puffs all together exceeds 30$ and get 10$ back or limit one item

    • Anonymous says:

It does not state a limit in the ad. I bought multiple cover girl items and had no problem.

  15. Anonymous says:

When you see an online price, it is because a price was not given in the weekly circular. KCL uses the online price as a guideline price to show how the deal would work. It is too hard to know everyone’s store price and as we have seen recently the prices can vary by region. Use the price as a guide and before you buy at your store you should check the price to see if it remains a good deal for you or if you meet the required threshold for EB deals. The prices are usually very close but it can vary from a few pennies to a dollar, sometimes more.

  16. recumbentrider says:

    Extra – Bucks Earned : $10 P&G, $5 Dove (only needed $14 more), $4 Softsoap, $1 Milk = $20 in all

    Total Towards Beauty Club : $73.86 ( I was only $5 away from getting one… so I’ll get a $10 beauty in 2 days )

Considering the beauty club reward….I only lost $4.50 in extra-bucks.

So with sale prices, store coupons, manufacturer coupons and extra bucks I saved $116.43 !!!

  17. Anonymous says:

I need some advice…Ok, so typically my CVS let’s me use expired EBs but today, however, they didn’t per the manager. I now have over $10 in EBs that can’t be used. I still have the products that produced the EBs and the receipts…should I return them?!

    • Try a different CVS first if there is one close by. One town over from my regular CVS (Which takes expired ECBS for a few weeks) takes them for up to a year! I think every store sets their own policy on that. I could be wrong but that’s been my experience.

  18. eazbroze says:

Target’s website has put up $3/1 Nexxus manufacturer’s coupons. Just printed them. (Spend $20 on Nexxus, get $10 ECB, use 2 x $3/1 coupons, and 20% or 25% off for free-MM.)

  19. Mangal Manny says:

Can someone please tell me, if I can use the CVS 25% off coupon for the Dove soap purchase

  20. Katiec31108 says:

For the Dove spend $15 get $5 ECBs couldn’t you do
1 shampoo ($3) , 1 conditioner ($3), 1 styling product ($3) use B1 shampoo and 1 conditioner get styling prod free coupon, then buy any two more shampoo/conditioner/styler and use 2 $1/1 coupons making the total $15 – $5 in coupons – 5 ECBs or $1 per item? Also, since you are buying the shampoo and conditioner to get the styler free, could you use two $1/1 coupons on the shamp and cond with the Buy 1 shamp & cond get styler free coupon?

    • Anonymous says:

No, the BOGO coupon is attached to the shampoo and conditioner, so if you use the $1 Qs it would be 2 coupons on one product which is not allowed. The coupon wordiing reads “Limit one (1) coupon per purchase on product/quantity specified…”

  21. guest says:

heads up…. physicians formula lash boosting felt tip eye liner has a try me free.. pay 11.49 get 7 ECB sumit rebate up to 10.95!!!! talk about MM!!!!!

What is a saving star ??

    • fireflies says:

It is an online “No clip No print” program where you basically register your savings/Loyalty cards in there website with an online a/c with them. They have eCoupons and deals you can load them into your loyalty cards. The number of stores usually varies with region to region. Right now till thanksgiving, they have awesome deal for Unilever products. Buy $20 and get $5 back. It is not a coupon but cash back which you could en-cash by either gift-cards or Paypal! HTH

    • Anonymous says:

It’s an e-coupon program where you can load electronic “coupons” to many of your store shopping cards. It won’t deduct at the register, but you’ll receive it back after purchase. HTH :)

  23. Irina says:

Is the Wet and Wild deal unadvertised? I don’t see it in the flyer and when I went to the store they weren’t marked with a sale sticker or anything.

    • Anonymous says:

It is advertised: page 6 of my ad. But there could be a regional variance. If it’s not marked, give it a scan at the red machine and see if it’s on sale :) HTH!

  24. Anu Paruchuri says:

Yowza! I actually saved over 60% at CVS! Wow, I never thought this day would come. Here’s the haul:

    (2) Febreeze Set & Refresh @ 2/$6 = $6
    (1) Febreeze Noticeables refill @ $3.99 = $3.99
    (1) Febreeze Noticeables warmer @ $3.79 = $3.79
    (1) Febreeze Fabric Spray @ $4.99 = $4.99
    (1) ZZZQuil 24ct @ $7.49 = $7.49
    (2) Secret Clinical Strength @ $9.49 + B1G1 50% off = 14.23
    (2) CVS 16+4pk AA batteries @ $10.49 + B1G1 = 10.49
    (3) Gatorade 32oz @ $0.99 = $2.97

    Coupons used:

    -0.50 Febreeze S&R
    -1.00 Febreeze S&R
    -0.50 Febreeze Noticeables refill
-3.50 Febreeze warmer (B1 Noticeables refill, G1 warmer free, up to 3.50)
    -1.00 Febreeze fabric spray
    -1.00 ZZZQuil, any size
    -3.00 ZZZQuil, 24ct (CVS Q)
    -1.00 Secret Clinical Strength
    -1.00 Secret Clinical Strength
    -10 off 50 spent (CVS Q)
    -7 ExtraBucks

Earned $10 ExtraBucks for spending $30 on P&G products.

After all savings, including sale prices, CVS Qs, MQs:

    Subtotal = $24.45
    Tax: $3.80
    Total: $28.25
    Savings this trip: $54.52

    Savings w/o ExtraBucks: 69%
    Savings w/ ExtraBucks: 81.7%

With tax, the savings would be a bit less. I didn’t include them because I had three different sales tax amounts applied to my purchase, and I couldn’t figure out which one went with which products!

On top of that, one Secret Clinical came with a free trial size, and the other came with a bunch of P&G coupons. And the Magic Coupon Machine gave me more great coupons. And because I saved all my Febreeze coupons that expired 9/30 and used them today, I still have next month’s coupons. So for me, these bonuses make up for the hefty sales tax I paid.

All I can say is, preparation pays off!

  25. erin says:

I have a question.. when you get an EB reward it sometimes says Limit 1. Does that mean per week or per quarter?

  26. Judy says:

Ok. All of this is so confusing to me. I am brand new. When something costs $9.99 but the deal is that you must spend $10.00 to get the extra bucks….Do I need to pick up something else to purchase as well? My understanding is that you need to reach $10 before tax, right?

    • recumbentrider says:

welcome! the cool thing about cvs extra-bucks deals is you only need to come
within 98% off the the amount needed (before coupons & tax) and your
extra-buck will print… so if the deal is spend $10 get $X extra-bucks… you need at least $9.80 to trigger the extra-buck to print.

    • sscake19 says:

*recumbentrider is correct – but keep in mind, some CVS require you to spend the actual $10 for the EB to trigger (a couple of mine do) and I always error on the side of caution. Did one deal awhile back with hair care and was 2 cents short – had to buy another item in order to get my EB…. but others have better luck.

Luckily I have a ton of CVS here that have the PF makeup around $10.25… so when in doubt I always pay a little extra.

  27. Jenn says:

I did the aquaphor deal buying 4-$4.99 lip care but no extra buck reward printed. They should be able to print one for me when I go back right? I don’t see anything about the deal excluding lip care.

    • Anonymous says:

You’re correct. The ad says that only baby items and clearance are excluded. So, they should force-print you your EBs. Good luck!

  28. Lauren says:

Where do you get the $10/$50 coupon?

  29. Sarah says:

So, I hit CVS early this morning, did the $30 P&G scenario and the SoftSoap. The ad states that both of these have a Limit of One, however when I got my receipt, I saw that I had not reached the offer limit for either of these items. Meaning that it seemed that I could repeat the deals. I didn’t because I had to get home, but has anyone else noticed this?

    • Anonymous says:

Yes – I did the pampers deal twice – then it said offer limit reached. The loreal deal for nail and hair dye can also be done more than once too!! :o)

    • Anonymous says:

Rumor has it they are higher limits, but we haven’t confirmed what they are yet. Thanks for the heads up :)

I’m so curious what the limit is, I noticed this on my receipt as well… :)

    • nydia says:

This happened to me with the gillette, it said bought 1, needed to next reward 1, or something to that effect, I showed the cashier and she force printed me one, then said she couldn’t do anything about the other one.. Any suggestions as to what I could do to get the other $5 ECB? I buy a lot of diapers, so this would help lower the cost of a bag! TIA!

      • Anonymous says:

I do not quite understand your scenario??? The Gillette razor initially stated a limit of one, but allowed you to do more (I heard up to 5)–that is why it said 1 needed til next reward instead of offer limit reached. It gave you credit for one by saying “bought one” so it should have printed your $5EB. Did the $5 EB print on the bottom of your receipt? I am not clear why the cashier forced an ECB and why you are looking for another? How many razors did you buy and how many EB did you receive?

        • nydia says:

I bought one initially, gave me a $5 ECB automatically, went again, bought 2 more, didn’t give me anything even though receipt said need I was 1 more away from reward, not limit reached. She force printed the one $5 ECB, but didn’t do anything for the second one that bought on the same day. I should have gotten 3. I only got 2. I’m just going to return it.

          • Anonymous says:

I see–I was able to do the gillette 3 x and received the EB for last week’s sale (ended Sat). Did you do that this week or last? According to the KCL list above, the Gilette deal this week is only on the Venus set–1 razor and 1 cartridge. I think I read somewhere that it worked on only the razor Sunday, but CVS may have caught the error and fixed it in the computer system. I actually only have the Schick razor deal in my weekly ad–I do not see any Gilette deal.

            • sscake19 says:

I just did the Gillette deal this week (Tuesday around 5pm – ish) and bought the $6.99 razor – used my $3 venus coupon and received my $5 EB…. The signs did not say anything about purchasing both items….

            • Guest says:

May be regional deals going on for gillette items???

            • sscake19 says:

maybe the gillette deals are regional???

          • sscake19 says:

I did each razor separately and received 3 EB before a no EB transaction occured…. even though my receipt still said I needed 1.

Is the Crest 3D Whitestrips Vivid Whitening Kit, 10 ct $31.99 a regular price? I want to use my 25% off.

    • whovier88 says:

i think it is regular price because it says it’s the online price and most of the time i go by the online price and then when i shop at CVS i notice the prices are either the same or a couple of cents to a dollar off.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes. “Online price” simply means that we haven’t confirmed an in-store price, but since there is no price listed in the ad, it will be regular price.

  31. Caitlin says:

I really hope I can you use all my coupons this week – if I’m able to, it will be an awesome haul!! Here’s my plan:
    (2) Scott 12 pack toiliet paper = 21.98
    (2) Aquaphor lip = 9.98
    (2) Eucerin = 9.98
    (1) Physicians formula lip gloss = 9.99
    (1) Nexxus @ 9.99
    (1) Nexxus @10.99
    (1) schick Quatro Razor = 9.99
    (1) Venus razor = 6.99
    (1) Venus razor cartridge = 12.99
    (1) Salma Hayek am/pm = 4.99
    (2) butter = 5
    (2) loreal lip gloss = 15.98
    total before coupons = $128.85

What I’m hoping is, because I would meet the minimum dollar amount, I will be able to use (2) $4 off $12 cosmetic and (2) $10 off $50 purchase. keeping my fingers crossed I will be able to use all of those. I will also use : 25%, Free salma hayack, $2 off 10 scott CRT
    (2) $2 Eucerin, (2) $1 Acquaphor, $4 Schick, (2) $4 Venus,
    (2) $1 Scott, (2) $1 off 2 nabisco, (2) $1 loreal

I broke everything down taking in to account which would affect the % off coupon and came to a total of 47.28 or 51.41 (depending if the Salma Hayek coupon deducts the full value of the coupon or just the actual price I would be paying for it. I have $47 in regular ECB’s I will use and either pay $.28 plus tax or 4.41 plus tax. I will get back these ECB’s:
$10 for aquafor, $7 Physicians Formula, $10 nexxus, $5 Schick, $5 Venus, $3 loreal plus I will get $71.90 toward beauty bucks (so another $5 ECB in a few days.

If I’m not able to use all my coupons, I’m not sure what I will pick to get. I’ll update you all tomorrow on whether or not I’m able to use all of them.

    • Anonymous says:

Look forward to the update! On paper, it looks pretty good :) Good luck!

      • caitlin says:

I ended up changing things up at the last minute because I decided to save 1 of the 10/50 for next week :) I also had to adjust some things since the prices were a bit higher on some of it. Here’s my break down

        Transaction 1
        (2) scott toilet paper =21.98
        (2) Aquaphor = 11.98
        (1) Eucerin = 7.99
        (1) Physicians formula lip gloss = 9.99
        (1) Physicians formula under eye concealer 5.99
        (1) Nexxus @ 9.99
        (1) Nexxus @10.99
        (1) schick Quatro Razor = 10.99
        (2) Venus razor = 13.98

        total before coupons = 103.88
        $10 off $50, $4 off $12 cosmetic purchase, 25% (took off $23.22), (2) $1 off aquaphor, $2 Eucerin, $4 schick, (2) $4 venus, and $2 off $10 scott (so sad – I had gone to a cvs a few days ago and the
scott has $1 peelies, but I guess the store I ended up checking out at
had old stock so that’s $2 less I could have paid).

I tried giving the girl the 25% off before my manufacturer coupons but she held on to it and said she had to scan it last (so I’m thinking that would have possibly taken more off… oh well). The girl that was checking me out was completely amazed! She told me that she couldn’t believe I only paid $5.48 after it was all said and done! It always makes me feel so good when people praise me for my great deals. Sometimes I feel self conscious using all the coupons and some people act like I am ripping them off or stealing. So when you have people that are excited for your savings, it always makes it that much more fun! I will definitely be doing a survey for her and plan on trying to go back to that same store to try and do most of my transactions :)

My total after coupons and using $48 in ECBs ($47 regular and $1 green bag) was $0.25 subtotal – total after tax = 5.48
I got back these ECBs: 10 aquaphor, 7 Physicians formula, 10 nexxus, 4 schick, 5 venus. Plus I will get $5 ECB beauty bucks in 2 days. I had loaded the saving star coupon a while back and completely forgot about it so I will also get $5 for that (don’t know if that is frowned upon since I know it has been talked about on here lately, but there is nothing I can do now.)

        Transaction 2
Salma Hayek 4.99 – used free salma Hayek am/pm paid $0.15 OOP

        Transaction 3
2 maybelline foundations (both my mom and I needed a new one)
        9.99 and 4.99 = 14.98
used 4 off 12 cosmetic and (2) beauty ECBs. Paid $1.16 OOP.
I will seriously never pay full price for make up again! With rolling ECBs and the beauty club, I pretty much get my make up free… so awesome! Sorry for such a long post… I’m just sooo excited about my haul today! I think I may be addicted to couponing :)

        • Angela says:

If it helps any, it doesn’t matter when the % off coupon is scanned. It adjusts itself throughout the transaction, so it would end up the same at the beginning or the end.

        • Scrappinjay says:

Awesome savings! I agree about the not paying full price for make up! I was so excited for covergirl to be part of the deal i just ran out of foundation! perfect timing!

    • recumbentrider says:

I did a deal almost like yours today.. you might find this info helpful… the $10/$50 & Salma Heyek are “cvs coupons” (will reduce % savings) and the $4/$12 is a “cvs mfr coupon” (will not reduce % savings)

I was able to use both the $4/$12 & $10/$50 in the same transaction (no beeps)… I had over $50 worth of non-cosmetics & over $12 in cosmetics.

Also… you don’t have to buy BOTH the venus razor and cartridge… I only got the razor and my $5 ecb printed. HTHs and good luck with your trip!

  32. I’m confused..how is the tide detergent $2.98 after the $1/1 coupon? Is this after you spend $30 and receive $10 EB? or a typo???

    • Anonymous says:

Remember, the $30.00 pre-tax subtotal must only be reached before you present any coupons. $10.00 back on a $30.00 purchase is a 33% savings. Final prices of each item below reflect the 33% discount, providing you meet the promotional threshold.
As copied from the KCL posting above before the individual scenarios are listed.

    • Anonymous says:

Not a typo :) As EveyG stated, we explain how we calculate final price in the header of each promotion.

  33. Annie says:

Does anyone know if I were to do the Covergirl deal for example like 2 mascaras (for example they are 9.99) and for example like 2 blushes (5.99)…. does it take half off from the least priced item (which in this case would be the 2 blushes) ?

or would it be like one mascara at reg price then one at half and one blush reg and one half? Thanks!

    • Anonymous says:

It may depend on how you hand them over to be rung up, so to be a little more certain, try and give the two mascaras together, then another item or items and then the two blushes–that way the computer should ring up the two like items back to back and do the correct adjustment.

  38. Tammy says:

Years ago I read in a magazine to use dish soap rather than hand soaps (like soft soap) in your bathroom soap dispensers. It is basically the same product and much less expensive. At CVS this week you can get the 9 oz dawn for $0,25 or $0.50 or the soft soap 8 oz for $1.00. So the dish soap is at least half the price of the hand soap.

    • Anonymous says:

I have recently started doing this. It takes a little getting used to because the dish soap’s consistency is a little thinner and if you use too much it takes a little extra rinsing to get rid of the soap on the hands. It is a lot cheaper than regular liquid soap though.

    • fireflies says:

Oh yes! Dawn has antibacterial hand soap/ Dish washing liquid. That’s what i use. They are same price as the other ones!

      • Angela says:

The one that’s mixed in with the 14 bucks worth of coupons on Walmart’s site is still good. KCL linked it yesterday or the day before as a $1.25/1 Ponds coupon.

Can you stack the $4/$12 and the $10/$50? I didn’t think you could because when I have tried to do this before, the register wouldn’t accept both. Has anyone tried?

      • recumbentrider says:

I’ve heard yes and I’ve heard no… I tried do the combo a few days ago… my subtotal was $52 with $13 of cosmetics within the $52… the cosmetic coupon beeped… and I couldn’t use both.

This time I’m going to have about $15 worth of cosmetics and $50 of non cosmetics. I’ve heard this will work but as of lately it’s not working. The coupon does say “limit one purchase base coupon per transaction”… that worries me. However CVS’s coupon policy says you can use multiple purchase based coupons if it applies… example $30 subtotal, you can use (2) $3/$15.

As always it’s up to the cashier/manager … I’ll update this post when I do my transaction with how it went :)

        • Anonymous says:

You’re correct. According to the CVS coupon policy, you can use multiples, but you need to satisfy each one on its own. Quoted directly from the policy:
“CVS/pharmacy accepts multiple Dollar off Transaction coupons (e.g. $3 off $15) in one transaction if they applyExample: Customer may use two 3 off $15 coupons if they are purchasing over $30.00″

          • recumbentrider says:

Thanks KCL… I went in a little more confident having that confirmed. I used both and had no beeps !!

I added a Gillette Venus (you don’t have to buy both the razor and cartridge for the eb to print… plus I had one $4/1 expiring today)… and Boire (bogo coupon also expiring and you get $3 wyb 2)….Here’s how I did and what I got….

            Physicians formula cosmetics = $9.99
            Nexxus shampoo, conditioner, & stylers = 9.79 + 11.79 = $21.58
            L’oreal hair color $9.99 x 2 = $19.98
            Schick Quattro $10.79
            Gillette Venus $11.79
            Boire $7.99 + $7.79
            Rimmel lipgloss $4.99

            = $94.90

-$2/1 — rimmel crt (cvs coupon)
-$1/1 any hair color crt (cvs mfr coupon)
            -$19.48 — 25% off of $77.90 because I used $17 worth in “cvs coupons”

            after coupons= $32.42

used $20 ecb’s (cvs mfr coupon)

used $5 beauty club reward (cvs coupon)

May I ask you a question based on this policy? I was planning a trip, based on combining MCM coupons, and would value your insight.
          Buy 3 simple cleanser at $8.29 ( buy 2 get 1 free ) = $16.58
Buy 1 Olay cleanser at $4.99
          Total = $ 21.57
          use $4/$20 facial skin care
use (2) $1.75/1 MCM simple cleanser
use (2) $2.50/1 MQ simple cleanser
          use $2/1 olay cleanser MQ
          pay: $7.07
Can I use all of the MCM coupons together?

          • Anonymous says:

I am not an expert on CVS policy, but from what I see you have a good scenario and should be able to use all of the q’s you have listed. I stumbled upon the “Limit one purchased based coupon” tonight because I was going to use 2 of the $4/$12 cosmetics coupons and then read the fine print saying limit one. I was able to use both by doing 2 sep. transactions. BTW, I always hand in my $x/$x coupons ($4/$20) first just as a precaution in case any of the other coupons I use happen to reduce the value of what I am purchasing. Hope it works out–you have a great deal going!!

            • Anonymous says:

              Thanks!!
And I Know what you mean about handing over the $/$ MCM coupon first. I have always done that and last week when I did the Revlon deal, I did it that way as well, but the cashier shuffled the coupons and rang up the $/$ after the $5/1 MQ’s. As I watched I thought Oh No, but it went thru w/ out any problem. I don’t know if I was lucky or if it is no longer an issue, but I am thankful :o)

            • Dawn Harris says:

I don’t think it is an issue anymore. I used to only hand that one to them then the other coupons, but I have noticed lately it doesn’t matter what order they scan them, it always works.

I think you are right. When I did the deal the cashier scanned the $4/20 CVS Q last and it was fine.

      • Anonymous says:

Per the wording on these coupons and the policy, you would technically need a minimum total of $62, with at least $12 of that being cosmetics. Hope that helps :)

      • candy says:

Yes I did it, my total before coupons was $65 with $15+ being cosmetics and went through just fine!

        • Anonymous says:

I know you can use both in the same transaction. By stack, I meant spend $50 total, $12 of which would be cosmetics and use the $10 off $50 AND the $4 off $12. The only way to make it work is to do it the way you did, by fulfilling each coupon’s requirements separately.

          • Anonymous says:

My understanding is that they each need to be satisfied separately. Any “Purchase” coupons (total purchase, beauty purchase, cosmetic purchase) need to be satisfied on their own. So, the way Candy did it was correct :)

Don’t forget to load the $5 Saving Star coupon onto your CVS card for the Nexxus!

      • recumbentrider says:

I didn’t add it to my scenario because of what KCL said… your not suppose to stack MQ & Savingstar . However I do have the savingstar coupon loaded… I’m going to be buying WAY more than $20 worth of nexxus… the eb limit is 7. I only have one computer, so only one set of MQ coupons… so i think that’s ok!

        • Anonymous says:

You’re right, but on the Savingstar site it says, “SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other
services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way.
Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for
shoppers to redeem more than one manufacturer’s coupon for the same purchase. Using in-store coupons in combination with SavingStar eCoupons is not a problem.”

And I find that I forget that i have a saving star coupon loaded to my card when I use the offer. Besides, I bought over $20 in nexxus products already and combined with this week I will have spent well over $20 minus manufacturer coupons.

        • Dawn Harris says:

I don’t understand why it says this and it did print my $10. If I buy another Gain will I get $10 EB??

Oh well, I’m so confused about the P&G deals this week, it looks like you can only combine certain products to get the 10 EB, but KCL has them all combined. For instance can you mix Tide and Gain in the same $30/10 or mix Febreeze w/ C Girl??? I don’t remember it being this confusing before but both pages say “when you buy ANY OF THESE products” instead of any P&G. Anybody know???

    • Anonymous says:

You can buy only the products on front page (yellow part) and page 3 that are inlcuded in the PG promotion… Having said that, yes, you can get Tide and Gain or Febreze and CG, as long as it’s the ones pictured (Tide liquid 19-32 loads, CG face, eye or lip, Tide Pods 14 ct, Gain liquid 32 loads or fabric softener 60 loads, Febreze fabric refresher 27 oz, Febreze Noticeables dual scented oil refill 1ct, Febreze candles 2.5oz, Air effects 9.7oz, Set and refresh or car air freshener 1ct… HTH… ;)

      • bamabragger says:

Thanks! I guess I never paid attention when they’re on separate pages like that and I don’t do many of those $30 deals either.

        • Anonymous says:

It can get very confusing… You have to always check if it says any or these. If it’s “any” it doesn’t have to match the pics… But if it says “these”, then you have to get what’s stated there (don’t go by picture but by wording)… Always go by wording cause they can’t put the pics of every single product for a certain brand in the ad… Lol… ;) Sometimes this is tough to explain to the people at the stores though… ;)

          • bamabragger says:

Yaah you got me! That’s what I was looking at. In my sale paper it says “any of THESE” so that means I can’t mix it up. I screwed up one time on Olay because I thought it was any, just trying to be more careful! Thanks

            • Anonymous says:

What happened to me is that my ad one time said any playtex and, I went during early activation, and it didn’t print. At the store, they wanted to go by pic and not by wording so they didn’t force print it. When I called CS they told me the difference of “any” and “these” and told me that it’s impossible to go by pic cause for Maybelline, for example, they can’t put the pic of all the lipsticks, all the mascaras, etc that Maybelline carries, so we always have to go by wording… ;)

    • Anonymous says:

To my recollection, it has always been only certain P & G products included in the promotions. You can mix and match any of the products shown and get to a subtotal of at least $29.40 pre coupons to trigger the $10 reward. (CVS 98% rule)

      • bamabragger says:

That’s not what I’m saying. They are listed on separate pages with different items.

        • Scrappinjay says:

The first page of the ad said something like also see page 3 so i believe they are all included together. The thing that is confusing me is the covergirl. It is listed with the pg deal but it is also listed alone.

        • Anonymous says:

When I said any products shown, I was referring to the list shown by KCL on this blog entry. She has the heading spend $30 get $10… and then there are alot of items listed included in the deal and then she has the gray box as an example of a deal you might want to do. The products she lists are all included in the deal and you can mix and match any of those products to get to $30. They include: Cover Girl, Pantene, Secret, Crest 3 D, Olay Regen, Bounty, Charmin, Puffs, Duracell, Tide, Gain, Febreeze, Swifter, Cascade, Dawn, Always, Pampers, ZZ Quill, etc. Please go back and review the list for exact sizes and specific products–too many to list.

    • Anonymous says:

Under the P&G Header are about 22 different product groups, starting with CoverGirl and ending with Duracell. We always finish up a long group of promo items with a suggested scenario at the end (pantene, dawn, downy, febreze). This helps in breaking up the promos. Maybe the confusion came from this being such a large promotion? It does include QUITE a lot of items. But the answer to your question, is that you CAN combine any of them to reach your $30. Hope that helps :)

    • Anonymous says:

Also, just a little tip I use all the time: when promos are broken up among separate pages, or in the case where you have two that look similar and are wondering whether they go together, take a look at the fine print. You’ll see a promo code for each promotion. If it’s the same number, it’s the same promo. This is the code they’ll also need/use to force print EBs or to write rain checks :) You’ll notice that the promo code for the PG items listed on page 1, is the same as the one for the products listed on page 3 (in my ad): 1401007.

      Hope that helps!

Got another 25% off coupon, so I plan on making moneymakers out of the physicians formula, nexxus, and schick…

    Here’s my plan:
1 physicians formula lip gloss, $9.99
    2 nexxus shampoos, 10.79 & 9.49
    1 schick quattro, 9.99

    Total before: $40.26

    Use:
2 – $3 off Nexxus printables (printed earlier)
    1 – $4 schick quattro printable
    25% CVS coupon (-$10.07)

Total after: $20.19 (before tax, of course)

Receive: $7 ecb for the physicians formula, $10 ecb for the nexxus, and $4 ecb for the schick

I’ll use about $20 in ECBs to lower my out of pocket cost as well.

    • Anonymous says:

      Very nice :)

P.S. Thanks for sharing! I love when you all share your scenarios! :)

    • CaYaCoup says:

Good Job. I had a similar scenario in mind. But I went by there today to grab a drink, make all the items were there and check the prices (they are usually a little bit more than on KCL). Well, when I bought my soda, I used my GC from ShopKick. Didn’t realize until I got into the car that the cashier had taken it upon himself to use my 25% cpn! He never asked me and I sure as heck never told him to use it. I saved a measley $.45!! I went back in and told the shift supv but there is nothing they can do. This is the second time that his happened with a different cashier. Anyone have any suggestions?

      • Anonymous says:

I had the same thing happen on Sunday when I went to buy a venus razor and a thermacare patch. Fortunately, I was using extracare bucks and my last one didn’t go through because of the 25% coupon, so the cashier was going to reduce the ecb amount but I told her that I didn’t want to use the 25% off yet and she voided the transaction.

You could always print out the coupon instead of sending it to your card. I wait until Sunday to load it or print it, so that I have more time to figure out how to use it.

      • caitlin says:

That happened to me a few weeks back – very frustrating! Sorry that happened to you! :(

When I thoroughly read the page that has the 25% coupon on it (where you can choose to print it or send it to your card) it does state :

“ATTENTION! By clicking the send to card button your coupon will be applied to your NEXT purchase.”

So now, I make sure I don’t load it to my card until right before I go shopping at CVS. I thought the cashier had done it as well but I guess it automatically deducts without being prompted. Hope that helps clarify things, so it won’t happen to you again.

        • candy says:

hmmm my cashiers always ask if I want to use it – they have an option to click “yes” or “no” and it prints at the bottomof my receipt saying I still have it available…

        • Jen32 says:

I have always had a problem with the percent coupon, adding more to the total I found out that if you wait to use it till the very end after coupons and extrabucks it works fine, just a fyi. This helped my situations with it.

      • Anonymous says:

It’s happened to me too. My best suggestion is to print it instead of “send to card,” because it gives you more control over when & how it is used.

      • whovier88 says:

this is why i just print it from my computer but i didn’t know even if i dont print it it shows up on their computer.

      • fireflies says:

How about we don’t use our CVS card and make the purchase? It will work for small purchases were you don’t have to worry about the cash back! HTH!

        • Anonymous says:

The %-off coupons are usually tied to your account and therefore they need to scan your card to be able to use it :)

    • Anonymous says:

Don’t forget to load the $5 Saving Star coupon to your CVS card for the Nexxus to earn another $5!

  45. mommaRN8 says:

The Nexxus coupons are gone, it said the program has ended.

  46. Angela says:

In the Hershey scenario above, you might as well buy a 4th fun size and use a second $1/2 coupon if you have one. Same price, MOAR CANDY.

    • Anonymous says:

      I think the scenario actually accounts for you buying 10 packs to get them for 20 cents each. 10 x $1 = $10 less (5) $1 Q = $5 less $3 ECB = $2/10 packs = 20 cents for each pack. If you buy 4 x $1 = $4 less (2) $1 Q = $2/4 packs = 50 cents each (no ECB earned)

    • Anonymous says:

      Good idea! :)

Do the 25% Off coupons work on the Buy one Get one Free/Half Off promotions since the first item is regular price?

    • bamabragger says:

That’s what I want to know too. ALSO WILL 25% OFF WORK ON THE $30/10 P&G REGULAR PRICED ITEMS? I THINK IT WILL, BECAUSE IT HAS WORKED ON THE GILLETTE DEALS THAT WERE $30/10. THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!

      • Angela says:

If it’s regular priced and there’s no sale PRICE attached to the product (such as BOGO), then the 25% coupon should work. Just remember that its usefulness is reduced by the use of certain ExtraBucks (namely, Beauty Club rewards, Green Bag Tag rewards, and forced print rewards from rainchecks, etc.

      • Anonymous says:

        should work.

      • bamabragger says:

Humm.. not so awesome I thought we could combine the C Girl with the other products but it doesn’t look like it!

        • Anonymous says:

The Cover Girl will work for the spend $30 get $10 deal but it will not work with the 25% CVS coupon because it is on sale B1/G1 50% off.

      • kylie says:

Just so you know Bamabragger, there are NO regular priced items in the P&G spend 30 get 10 ECB promo! EVERY item participating is a sale price. You were questioning the cover girl, that’s on sale BOGO 50% off…therefore the % would not work. During the Gillette deal ALL of the razors were regular priced. A good way to know what is and isn’t on sale by looking at the matchups, KCL always lists “online price” or “regular price” …if it DOESN’T say this it IS on sale! Anyways if you tried using the % off with a transaction without any regular priced items the register would prompt the cashier to give it back to you. Hope this helps!

    • Angela says:

No. Those are considered sale price.

    • Anonymous says:

BOGOs are considered promotional. only reg priced items giving out ECBs will work with your 25% off coupon

    • Anonymous says:

No, BOGO deals are considered “promotional” prices and are excluded. HTH!

Hershey’s, Nestle or Mars Chocolate Fun Size, 6 pk $1.00

    Spend $10.00, Receive $3.00 ExtraBucks, Limit 1

Use $1.00/2 Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with
Almonds and Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Bars, 6-packs from SS 8/19
    (exp 10/14)

Final Price: $0.20 each, when you buy 2

Wouldn’t it be when you buy 10? You don’t get the EB unless you spend $10.

    • janyellow says:

KCL always breaks it down for us to show what the final price of each item in an umbrella deal will look like. This helps you better select how many and which items you want to pick to reach the threshold in an umbrella deal.

Remember, the $10.00 pre-tax subtotal must only be reached before you
present any coupons. $3.00 back on a $10.00 purchase is a 30% savings.
Final prices of each item below reflect the 30% discount, providing you
      meet the promotional threshold

      HTH
