The start of each new month means new coupons and new monthly deals! Today marked the beginning of the October Savings Book coupons for Walgreens. You can pick these booklets up at the front of the store near the weekly ads. Since they’re considered Walgreens coupons, you can stack them with manufacturer coupons! That makes for a sweet deal on Pert Plus Shampoo. Feast your eyes:

Use one $1.50/2 Pert Plus 2-in-1, 13.5oz+, limit one coupon per purchase, excludes trial/travel size from SS 9/9 (exp 10/9)

The Pert Plus was not marked $1.99 at my local Walgreens. Afterwards, I remembered about checking their website and 2 specific types (clean and light formula) are $1.99. If these are in stock at the store they should ring up at the cheaper price even though they might not have a sale label on shelf.

    • Anonymous says:

The next time you’re in, have them scan one to see what it rings up. Sometimes stores don’t correctly tag sale items.

  3. sweetie says:

please explain how it got to .24 cent? If it;s 1.99 each. and i use my mfn cpn of $2.00 plus the walgreens book that total up to 1.50???

    • couponfreaky says:

      Hi, I’m just learning, but from what it says…. 1.99*2=3.98 – $2 (Oct Booklet)=1.98-1.50 ($1.50/2 from SS) = .48

    • Anonymous says:

The $1.00 Walgreens coupon will deduct $1.00 for each item, so it will take off $2.00 total. You also have the $1.50 off of 2 manufacturer coupon.

  4. aprilwren says:

In reference to the missing bonus points. Log in to your account with walgreens and it will give you the correct amount that you have. If any are missing just type in your receipt number and it should be added.

  5. Dana Vandertie says:

At my store this was not on sale. I was sooo sad! 3.79 a bottle.

    • whovier88 says:

did you check the price because i run into this problem many times and just to be sure i ask the cashier about the prices being the same at all walgreens and was told they usually are but always check the price with an associate.

  6. chanti7227 says:

Went to my local Walgreens in Hampshire IL. They have them at 5.99 bogo50% is this regional. Will it be 1.99 if they ring it ?

    • Anonymous says:

Try and have them scan it the next time you’re in. Sometimes products are not correctly marked with sale prices.

    • Melissa says:

This is how they were marked at my Walgreens. I had them scan 2 of them and they came up at the $5.99 bogo50% price. I was disappointed. Now I’m wondering about the size of the bottle. The ones that I saw today were really big bottles. I’m wondering if these were larger than 13.5 ounces. I only saw one bottle size for pert which struck me as odd. Maybe the $1.99 sale is on a smaller bottle. ??? I think I might go back tomorrow and check.

  7. Chantal says:

Went my my Walgreens n they have them At 5.99 bogo 50%off. For it ring for 1.99?

  8. Alytx2010 says:

So I can use the in store coupon and also a manufacture coupon ?

    • Anonymous says:

You sure can! We call this “stacking” a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon. Click on the “101″ tab at the top of our Walgreens page to learn about Walgreens policies.

  9. 2VavaIvanova22 says:

If I buy 8 Pert Plus shampoos all in the same transaction, will the Walgreens store coupon take $8 off?? Just Wondering, Thanx.

  10. jorantes04 says:

I went to 2 Walgreens today to look for the pert plus but they were out of stock! How does a rain check work?

  11. christian says:

this store coupon is not in the Oct booklet in texas

    • katgirl says:

I thought it wasn’t in mine at first too but that’s because I was looking for a picture of Pert and realized it’s a picture of Infusion but in small print, the coupon can be used for Pert too.

    • Anonymous says:

The coupon starts with “Infusium.” It might be there!

  12. Lenore says:

Think this was just a one day deal! In my area, the pert coupon was in the September IVC book, unless you are talking about something else?

    • Anonymous says:

Actually, Pert is in the October Savings Book, which just started!

    • katgirl says:

It is in the September book but when the cashier scanned it, it beeped and she told me it was expired. So we looked in the Oct book and it was under a picture of Infusion.

  13. AlmostRetired says:

There aren’t any printable coupons for this. Sorry. And thank you! We’re so glad to have you here!

    • amber says:

try ebay or a clipping site. in case you haven’t bought coupons from ebay here’s a couple tips; look at the sellers reputation you want as close to 100% as possible and see how fast people say they shipped. Also if you want them right away, look at buy now options. hth

  16. XrayGirl says:

Do we need any filer items? If we buy 2 and the store coupon counts twice, do we need 1 filer for the MQ coupon to sync with?

    • Chelsea Kay says:

Store coupons don’t count towards the coupon to item ratio. So you won’t need any fillers :)

    • Anonymous says:

You won’t need any fillers. You need to have at least as many items as you have manufacturer coupons and Register Rewards used as payment.

  17. Anonymous says:

the coupon is suppose to be ss 9/9 right? because i looked it over 10 times!

  18. Anonymous says:

:( I was so exited no add boooooooo

    • amber says:

it’s not a sale that’s going to be in the ad. It’s a monthly sale. check tags in store or even just do a price check.

  19. Erica says:

Does anyone know if this sale is regional for $1.99…it’s not in my ad.

    • Anonymous says:

It wasn’t in my ad either. It seems to be a monthlong promotion at Walgreens. Check the tags the next time you’re in!

      • mom2boyz says:

I just checked the tags in Salem, NH – NOT on sale :(
I will have them price check next time!

  20. mommaRN8 says:

Because it’s Walgreen’s related… anyone else have trouble with their points today? I had more than 8k I should have received today and got 0. They are supposed to be calling me tomorrow.

Awesome deal on this one. If they can get it straight, I’ll go try this out. I’m a little mad at Wag’s right now, though. They messed up my entire trip with that mess. :(

    • Anonymous says:

I’m sorry! I know how frustrating that can be!

      • mommaRN8 says:

Maybe I am the only one who didn’t understand this, but apparently you cannot earn points and redeem points in the same transaction. I should have earned over 10k yesterday, but then they offered me the option of redeeming and that removed them all. Not exactly a fair way to deal, IMHO, but now that I know… I know. :) So if you wish to redeem points, you must first separate transactions. FTR, I was redeeming points from a PREVIOUS week, not even trying to use yesterdays that day. It doesn’t make sense to me that I can’t earn them and use the older ones (like other drug stores do) but it is what it is.

    • sully says:

i did not had problems getting my points 3,000pts but when i checked my receipt last weeks points were gone it said starting balance 0 when i was supposed to have 2,000pts. It said i need 2,000 to reach 5,000 when i already have the 5,000pts its fustrating, i dont want the stress to keep track of missing points.

  21. Ruru from York pa says:

    Very good deal thanks

  22. Jillian says:

How come the store coupon will deduct $2?

    • Anonymous says:

You are getting 2 of the item..$1.00 off of each item from the Walgreen store coupon.

    • Anonymous says:

You only have to use one coupon, but since you are buying two, the register will automatically deduct the $1.00 TWICE!

  23. southernamor says:

because you have 2 products does the walgreens coupon automatically deduct twice? or do you have to have the cashier scan it twice?

  24. Robin says:

Will one coupon from the booklet cover multiple shampoos or do i need one coupon (from booklet) per shampoo? Sorry, I’m new to Walgreens!

    • Anonymous says:

The cashier scan it once and it will automatically deduct for both items or more depending how many you are getting..hth.

    • Anonymous says:

You only need one Walgreens coupon in this transaction, even if you buy several bottles of shampoo!

  25. Barb says:

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if I need to find another walgreens… The manager at my local walgreens told me the coupon booklets that are specific to walgreens are now “manufacturers coupons” and wouldnt let me stack any of their coupons. She said the only Walgreens coupons you can stack are in their weekly special circular… Not sure what to think about that…

    • Anonymous says:

I have not run into anyone saying that! You should try another store. This is taken from their coupon policy, although in your case it may be too vague to be helpful: When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.

    • leyialenn says:

One cashier at walgreens told me the manager only allowed one coupon per transaction becasue I had two manufacture coupons for the two items I was trying to purchase. I told her I wanted to speak with the manager and she paged him…then paged again. No response. I walked out and left an email for corporate. The general manager called me the following day to applogise. I only shop there only when neccesary.

  26. katgirl says:

    I don’t think there’s a limit on instore coupon.

  27. nd says:

Is there a limit to the store coupon?

    • Anonymous says:

I don’t think there is. Just be sure to shop reasonably and leave plenty for other shoppers!

      • Jillian says:

So If we purchased 3 or 4 of them we still only need the one store coupon to work for all of them in addition to the manufacture coupons?

        • Anonymous says:

That is correct! You will need manufacturer coupons for each item, however. (In this case, one manufacturer coupon for every two shampoos!)
