Gas prices are one of our biggest expenses, and among the hardest to control. I’ve never seen a coupon for gas.

I try to make the most of my gas dollar using store rewards cards, and that can take up to $0.10 off a gallon. There are a few other techniques involving credit cards and such.

Here’s an easy one. For first-time customers who sign up for daily deal website, purchase a $20 ExxonMobil gift card for just $10. That’s $20 bucks of gas for half! The card is valid for fuel, convenience items, car washes and repairs at nearly 10,000 Exxon and Mobil stations across the country. The limit is one per household. Redeem the voucher within 60 days.

To get the card, click this link.

  • Sign up for
  • Enter account and billing information.
  • Purchase the voucher.
  • Get a notice via e-mail or text that the voucher is ready (or check through My Deals).
  • View the voucher and get the voucher number.
  • Call Saveology redemption center at (877) 705-7674 to have the gift card shipped.
  • You’ll have to provide your name, address, e-mail and telephone number to the operator. The operator will provide other offers over the phone. A polite “no” works wonders.
  • The voucher is delivered within 7 – 10 business days. Call customer service with any problems at 866-490-3694.
  • The whole process took me about 6 minutes. Not bad to save $10.

Will you order a half-off gas card? I’m using mine for an upcoming trip. Tell us about your plans in the comments.

I really wish couponing blogs would stop advertising saveology. Clearly from all the comments in this thread many people have issues with them not receiving their orders, etc and their customer service is terrible. I wouldn’t recommend a crappy service or website like Saveology to any of my friends…

Saveology is super sketchy ! They tried to sell me that same dining card of $100 for $4.95 and I’ve heard from various people who purchased it that the card is really only worth $10 and that you have to spend the additional $90 or something like that. Also I ordered the exxon mobil card promotion when it first came out on 9/20 and redeemed it the following day and was told it would take 7-10 days to arrive, it is now October 5 and still nothing. Saving money on gas is extremely difficult so of course I jumped on this deal, but I feel like I got scammed.

I ordered the card. Ordering online was easy. The phone call was a 8 minute wait. The girl was polite and tried to sell me a discount restaurant card for 4.95. I said I don’t usually go to those places and she didn’t push further.

After still being on the phone for 13 minutes, I still don’t have a confirmation to get the voucher. This is crazy! Plus the representative spoke broken English at best! They have repeated all my information and asked for it 3 times! I will not purchase this one again. Total time on phone 18 minutes…….inputing information 3-5. Not worth the hassle or frustration.

man i was on the phone with them for 12 minutes! ARGH! why was he naming ALL THE FREAKING RESTAURANTS?!! it was kind of hilarious. I just hope I get the card.

WARNING: I bought a deal from Saveology in August, despite warnings from other KCLs. Two months and six phone calls later, it keeps getting “lost in the mail.”

I just got my card. Being a college student they did convince me into getting the $100 dollar restaurant gift card for $4.95. They also automatically signed me up for three free magazine subscriptions but i hurried up and canceled them so I didn’t get charged $39.95 down the line. Hopefully I wasn’t scammed for buying the restaurant card.

Very true! I purchased a Giftcard from them before and when you are calling the redemption center, they try to woo you with tempting offers and please beware. They told me that since i was such a good customer, they are giving me a $100 gift card for $4.00! Please ignore those and say, you just want to get your offer. Other than the tempting offers, you will get your gift card delivered! worth it!

I was just filling up my tank yesterday, thinking, “Man, I can’t believe I have to pay retail for this!” This is great!
