Walgreens Extreme Couponing (Week of 10/21): $5.00 or LessWelcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Walgreens:

Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreens Register Rewards in addition to these coupons. The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register. The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use. We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

Walgreens has just launched a Balance Rewards Loyalty Program. Click here to read about it. Here you will also find a chart indicating how many rewards dollars you’ll receive when you earn so many points. According to the chart, 1,000 Balance Rewards Points equals $1.00–$1.25, depending on when you choose to cash out your points.

Before shopping at Walgreens, you might want to review the Walgreens How-To Video. Walgreens is certainly the hardest drugstore to shop, but it has the best deals! What I like most is that you can repeat the deals and get more product. The limits are just one per transaction, so you can get more than one item–just don’t clear the shelves! Here’s a link to the coupon policy.

It says the coupon in the diabetes care book exp. on 10/15 is the correct?

is it me, or is this the Glucose Monitor NOT ON SALE in Southern California? i went to my local walgreens and I only saw a $5 Manufacture Coupon and the glucose monitor was $20.

  7. kirra25 says:

I tried the glucose monitor transaction and they would not give me the register rewards because the manager said he could not change the price of the coupon because it would be fraud……..Please advise……..also is there a limit to how many transactions you can make?

YMMV with this one. Some are having problems like you, others managers are lowering the coupon price. My store always does this.
      Their policy says this
:In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.
that is pretty clear that they can reduce the coupon price.
