Got this deal. YAY! They gave me $6.00 for the BOGO coupon and then $2 for the CVS coupon. I got a dollar overage? Cool!

Went in there hoping to score a great deal…did not work out the way I thought it should have.
I was purchasing four tresemmme and planned on using (2) B1G1 free coupons, (2) CVS $2/2 tresemme coupons, and $4 EB from a previous transaction last week. Upon checking out, the manager told me I can NOT use my $4 EB and only use one CVS coupon. I asked, “why”??? He then stated I can not use coupons on sale items and all stores don’t allow this either. He also said, if it worked for me before, I got LUCKY.
If that was the case, then why did he take my B1G1 free coupons on a sale item??? Is it me, or did this guy just not know what he was saying???

SUPER BUMMED :(

i went to cvs this morning scanned my card and i did not get a coupon for the tresemme! anyone else?

Reply

These coupons are really random–not everyone gets the same Qs. Try again later this week and always be sure to scan your card more than once at the machine. I am always in CVS and I rarely get the Qs from discussed here, but I did get the Tresseme.

Reply

I had the B1G1, plus the $2 off coupon and the bottles I bought had a $1.75 coupon attached so this was a 25 cent moneymaker for me! :)

Reply

I went Sunday and got a $2/2 coupon from the MCM. I went tonight again and scanned my card and got a second $2/2 CVS coupon. :-)

Reply

yes it is true the bogo qpon takes off 6.00 making this deal free with 1.00 overage just did it twice.

Reply

BOGO ran up for $6 off along with 2/$7 and 2/$2 cpn from CVS machine made my buy a $1 money maker.

Reply

I just got 4 bottles, used 2 B1G1 coupons, $2/2 MCM coupon and one $2 off any haircare purchase (got in mail). The B1G1 coupons took off the max value $6 each so it ended up being a $2MM!!

Reply

I went to CVS yesterday and got the $2/2 coupon. I used that along with 2 B1G1 coupon (took off $6 each). So i got 4 bottles completely free!!!! YAY!

Reply

I purchased 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners and got all 4 of them FREE!! The $2 off 2 Tresemme products from the cpn machine was a big surprise 4 me (CVS Beauty Club mentioned about this cpn from their Facebook page). The 2 BOGO free cpns I gave the cashier each deducted $6 (another surprise and I’m hearing this from other ppl here). I only paid tax of $1.09. It’s all good and more importantly…ALL LEGAL!!! Thank U God!! :)

Reply

No b1g1 in my paper and someone took all the peelies off of the bottles ended up getting some travel size insted.

Reply

You really took them all off…? There is a limit to 4… and its kinda like leaving the next person in the dust by doing that..

Reply

She said someone else took all the peelies…she didn’t.

Reply

Like I said someone else pulled off all the peelies I scanned my cvs card and got the 2$ off 2 so I got two 99 cent travel sized bottles insted. I would never be so selfish.

Reply

I noticed at my Walgreens, there were $1.50/1 peelies on the Tresemme shampoo. Maybe you’ll find one of those. If not at CVS, check at your nearest Walgreens.

Reply

i don’t know what happened to me but i bought 2 with the bogo coupon and the $2 coupon machine coupon and the lady said it came to -$1 so I needed to get something worth at last a dollar for her to let me use the coupons. so I got 2 shampoos for free and it was a $1 moneymaker! yay!

Reply

The BOGO coupon is auto-deducting $6 plus with the $2 off 2 tresemme it makes it a $1 moneymaker!

Reply

It must have took off the full Value of $6! :)

Reply

Me too! It just applied the overage to my other items. Awesome!!!! :) AND the cashier was so super happy!!!! Always makes for a great trip!!!

Reply

They’re onto this. I went yesterday and got mine for free. I went with a co-worker at lunch today, and the coupon is now adjusting to $3.50, but she was still really happy with her $1.50 deal.

Reply

I didn’t get the Tresemme coupon in my RP :/ darn.

Oh well I guess I got to go to ebay & buy them.

Reply

The Split Remedy was not on sale 2 for 7.00 at my store :(

Reply

Someone please explain this to me: Can I use ONE MC along with a B1G1 coupon??

Reply

when u use the bogo coupon it takes off $6 so they r 2 for $1 @cvs

Reply

I did not get a B1get1 coupon in my suday paper

Reply

You can get 2 trial size’s for FREE plus a 2c MM!

Reply

Quick question I am pretty new to this! If I buy 2 of the tressemmes can I use the 2.00/2 CVS, a B1G1, and a 1.75/1 peelie? To make them free?

Reply

You canNOT use a dollar off amount along with a b1g1 coupon. You can if you buy 3 bottles, then you can apply the dollar off amount to the 3rd bottle.

Reply

I had the same question. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be able to do that? If the B1G1 coupon attaches itself to one “FREE” item, wouldn’t you be able to use a MQ on the second item that you paid for? The CVS coupon wouldn’t matter in that scenario since it is a store coupon. What am I missing??

Reply

B1g1 attachs to both items

Reply

gotcha, thanks!

Reply

You could with other products but Tressemme has attached both products to that one BOGO q. That’s why, in this particular case, you can’t. If you use the peelie, it will beep. ;)

Reply

The restriction comes from the BOGO coupon itself, in the wording: “limit one coupon per purchase of quantities specified.” That is to say, the BOGO coupon is used for these TWO items and no other coupons may be used on either of them, despite CVS policy. The coupon verbiage (and therefore redemption eligibility for the store) supersedes CVS policy.

Reply

Oooohh! That makes sense. I hadn’t clipped or read my coupons yet, was just working out deals in my head. Thanks for explaining it to me. :) Definitely want the store to get the credit they deserve for allowing us to use coupons without so many restrictions! I love CVS!!

I just downloaded the IBOTTA app on my phone and there is a $1.50 off of tresemme split remedy

Reply

Perfect!!

Reply

Sorry for the confusion but i believe the split remedy one is excluded from the sale at least it was in the store near me nj

Reply

Mine too but it is still a great deal after ibotta!

Reply

the b1get one free tresemme coupon rings up automatically as 6.00 off and with the 2.00 cvs coupon, it is free!

Reply

i only have the b1g1 coupon, where can i get the $2 off? also, what does, “Limit of 2 identical coupons in same shopping trip from RP 1/27 (exp 2/20)”, mean?? can i use two of the b1g1 at the same time?..i have coupons that say “limit 1 coupon per purchase but right under it says” limit of 4 like coupons per household per day”.. i dont get it!! please help!

Reply

The $2/2 is from the CVS coupon machine inside the stores. Just scan your rewards card. It is a CVS coupon and therefore can be stacked with a manufacturer coupon. When the coupon says “one coupon per purchase”, it means you may only use one manufacturer coupon per item purchased. For example if the coupon is $1/1 I may only use one coupon per item. If it is $1/2, I may only use one coupon per 2 items purchased. The “limit of 4 like coupons per household per day”, means you may only use 4 of the identical coupons at one time.

Reply

Per purchase means per item (bottle), limit 4 coupons per household per day means 16 items (bottles) for you or household member each day

Reply

Used $2.00/2 & BIGI and $1.75/1 peelie. So I bought 1 shampoo, 1cond, and 1 dawn for $0.87 used $.50 off. Total cost $0.71.

Reply

I have read all the comments, did everyone’s math twice, including mine. My final thoughts are ” JUST BUY THEM” it is free or very close to free. I am happy that I have 4 coupons for BOGO.

Reply

Sweet! This will be a MM for me. I have a CVS coupon for $1.50 off any shampoo or condition, stack with $1.75 peelie, and IBotta offer. $1.25 MM!

Reply

the split remedy is the only one (at least that I can see) on ibotta right now, and that one isn’t on the 2/$7 sale. They are $5 but you can still get one for .50 or if you have a b1g1 and your cvs takes off max value you can get 2 for .50 ($10 -$6b1g1 – $2/2 tress cvs coupon -$1.50 ibotta)

Reply

i went to cvs with only .75 in rewards, i got a 5/25.00 purchase in my email so tried to get something for nothing. I bought the axe 3/13.00 used buy 2 get 1 and bought tresseme 2/7.00 and used buy 1 get 1. both bottles of tresseme had the 1.75 peelies on them i got to use the buy 1 get 1 and both 1.75 off each bottle. also the buy 1 get ones took off full value instead of the sale price. Got the tresseme 2/7 buy 1 get 1 took off 6.00 and the axe buy 2 get 1 took off 5.99 making them all 2.67 an i picked up 4 gatorade to hit the 25.00 i used the 5/25.00 and .75 in rewards the two buy 1 get 1 coupons and the 1/4 gatorades paid 2.76 before tx and got back 4.00 for axe, definately the way to go if you dont have rewards left.

Reply

You used too many coupons for the Tresseme. Cannot use the b1g1 coupon as well as 2 coupons for $1.75.

Reply

That’s correct.

Reply

TOTAL COUPON MISS USE

Reply

You need to buy 4 bottles Because when you only buy 2 you use ur b1g1 coupon that uses 1 item, leaving only 1 item you can use a coupon on, which means would not allow the 2/2 coupon. I guess you could try it, but technically you would have to purhcase more. My scenario above purhcase 4 tresemme, use 2 b1g1 couponsa nd your 2/2 coupon and pay $5 for all 4 items, or buy 6 tresemme, use 4b1g1 and ur 2/2 pay $5.

Reply

The $2/2 coupon is a cvs coupon, it can be used for each product in conjunction with the b1g1 manufacturer coupon. If it were a manufacturer coupon then it would be different.

Reply

The $2.00/2 is a CVS coupon, printing from their machine. HTH.

Reply

When I went to cvs this morning and scanned my cvs card I received a $2/2 trees me coupon which makes them free!

Reply

how did it make them free when its b1g1 so $3.50 minus the $2 coupon from machine? that shoudl be 1.50 right

Reply

yep .75 cent each

Reply

I’m assuming their CVS didn’t auto correct the amount and gave her the full value for the b1g1 coupon plus maybe they did two peelie’s instead of one? That’s just the only way I see it working too.

Reply

The b1g1 free coupon takes out 6.00

Reply

Mine always takes the max off without looking twice. I love it

Reply

it varies by cashier. I have a very coupon friendly CVS store, however my cashier manually inputted the price of the Tresamme so I didn’t get the full amount. Very disappointed.

Reply

I had this coupon, too, so I got mine for free! then I had multiple coupons for it, could only use 2 at a time….so, went to several different CVS’s using all my coupons and extra bucks…the last transaction, I paid only $1.08 for 4 Tresemme and 2 Pantene! :)

Reply

The tres semme at the stores in my area also have $1.75/1 peelies on them. If you don’t have the b1g1 q you could still score this deal w/ the peelies.

Reply

Problem is that the peelies will beep because the BOGO is attached to both products… :(
