Be sure to check your email for a 20% off coupon from CVS! The coupon is available to print through today, 2/10, and it expires depending upon when you print. CVS percent-off coupons exclude clearance, sale, and promotional items, such as BOGO sales. However, they can be used on full-priced items, even those that trigger ExtraBucks. CVS registers are programmed to automatically apply the coupon to all valid items.

I’ve found some of the best regular-priced deals this week, added the 20% off coupon, and turned them into stock-up deals! For more ideas using this coupon, please visit our Weekly Coupon Deals post and look for items marked “regular price” (excluding BOGO deals).

  1. Sadie4902 says:

Question: Is the $2 ECB for the Crest travel size toothpaste unadvertised? Or a regional promotion? I went to my CVS but didn’t see it marked in the aisle — or in the flyer — and didn’t want to chance it. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

  2. ED says:

Some of the scenarios say buy $20 and get $10 ECB, eventhough they are 9.99 each, does the ECB still print?

  3. eawilliame says:

Okay so how does the 4off/20 work? I have $4 off $20 purchase of baby care items, I assumed diapers and the such. I bought two packs of Snug & Dry for 9.49 each and a 2.99 package of wipes I used two $3/1 package of diapers and .50/1 package of wipes but she said I couldn’t use the $4 off $20 because the computer said it I exceed the limit. Anyone heard of this before?

    • Lisa Weiss says:

Did you give her the 4 off 20 coupon first? If not, when you used the other coupons, it would have lowered your total below the 20.00 required purchase.

  4. boobear27 says:

Yesterday at CVS, I bought a conair curling iron that was on clearance for $4.50 that was originally around $9.00 and I got a $5 ecb! Another freebie this week I’m loving it! It worked towards the conair deal of this week. Maybe you guys should test this out. Make sure you find the conair curling iron or any conair appliance that’s on clearance that was originally more than $8 to trigger the ecb.

  5. Pam says:

ugh!! My emails are for online only lately :(

  6. boobear27 says:

The schick deal is working on schick hydro shave gel(sensitive only).I paid $3.29 for the shave gel and received 4ecb which making it free! Remember the price of shave gel varies. Maybe you might get lucky and find a peelie:)

I’m new to couponing so I want to make sure I understand this correctly. The crest toothpaste deal is 2.67 – buy 1 get $2 extra bucks, limit 2. Does this mean I can buy two, use the 20% off both and get $4 extra bucks? Or do you have to do them in separate transactions?

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, you can! If you want to use the 20% off coupon on both of them, you’ll have to do it in one transaction anyway. And, yes you will get $4.00 EBs, combined together.

      • tay says:

I have a question, the eucerin count for the beauty club? Today I can’t use a $5 / $25 Beauty purchase, because the cashier tell me the eucerin is not beauty.

  8. Sarah says:

If you get a MCM coupon for one of these (like the $2 off Schick razors) can you use them in addition to the 20% off CVS coupon? Wasn’t sure if that was considered a “promo” and if you could combine the 2 CVS coupons.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, you can. One is based on your total purchase, the other is to be specifically applied to an item you’re buying.

  9. Griselda says:

if I have the 20% off how can I use it with the $3/15 cosmetic purchase & a $4/10 lotion purchase. is their a certain order I should hand them in. the 20% is pre-loaded on my extra care card.

  10. 1mari says:

If you are going to do the L’Oreal polish be sure that they are $5.99 at your store…at mine they are $5.79. Didn’t realize this till after I bought them and am now 42 cents short of getting the $4 ECB. Not sure if I should return them or buy another item! Hate when this happens!

  11. Anonymous says:

Try calling the customer service line or do an e-chat (if avail) and see if they can help you or “see” a problem with your account.

  12. Nickie says:

Does anyone know if CVS will except their own coupons past the expiration? Specifically the 20% off.

  13. DianaC says:

It’s weird I didn’t get my 20% off but got a coupon for $5/$15 did anyone else get this? Is this a better offer?

  14. mfisher0115 says:

On the 20% coupon it says can’t be used on promotional items, is a product that produces and ECB considered promotional?, the cashier today said it wouldn’t work.

    • promotional means BOGO and items that are on sale. I get this %20 coupon(e-mail) every week and what I do is Ichoose all the items that are not on sale that I have coupons for and trigger ECBs. promotional doesn’t necessarely mean ECB. I used mine yesterday on the items that were regular price items and that trigger ECBs, saved $5 besides using my coupons, so I got everything for free and paid only taxes.

Did she try it and it did not work or she just told you it would not work? I have never had a problem using the 20 or 25% Q and receiving ECB on Regular priced items. There has been much discussion on this blog about the issue and some people buy a cheap regularly priced item in their transaction just to get the cashier to use the Q. Perhaps she is not fully aware of how the Q works and next time politely ask her to scan the Q for you to see what happens.

      • mfisher0115 says:

She just told me it wouldn’t work, I think I should have known something was wrong when I received a $10ECB and she kept trying to scan the ECB barcode to put it on a giftcard…I guess I need to start speaking up/start questioning/be more forceful when I think things aren’t right! Thank you all!

    • They never give me trouble I always load it to my card them the register just prompts how much the 20% will take.

  15. I used to ALWAYS get the 20% off coupon. But I haven’t seen one in months. Any idea why I would stop receiving them? I am signed up as I get the Deal of the Day and other promos from CVS.

  16. Melissa says:

Could we also buy 6 American Greetings cards (11.94), use 20% off coupon (-$2.38) and two $2/3 CVS coupons (-$4), pay $5.56 and get $5 EB back?

    • Anonymous says:

I was thinking of trying that–do not see why that would not work!!

    • Anonymous says:

I didn’t include that deal here because the CVS American Greetings coupon states that it cannot be combined with any other offer.

  17. Melissa says:

On the CVS $ off coupons ($2.50 off $12 in razors) do you have to hit $12 exactly, or does the 98% rule still apply?

  18. Jennifer Dossani says:

the maybelline coupon doesn’t exist :(

  19. Sharon80 says:

I have a question about the Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Body Lotion, 13.5 oz $9.99 wouldnt that make it 19.98 there for it would be 2 cents shy of the $20 to get the $10 ecb? Or does that include tax to be able to reveive the ecb?

    • guisi says:

At CVS if you reach 98% you qualify to get your ecb’s; so you only need to spend $19.60 to receive your $10 ecb.

      • Sharon80 says:

Thank you! I didnt know that! I’m new to all this only been couponing 5 weeks..that is awesome tho you have no idea how many times I have spent extra to make sure I reach whatever the paper says oh well I know better now! Thanks again! :)

      • Beth says:

Is there a written policy stating that? I can’t find one. Last week I went to CVS and the cashier stated I needed another item to make the qualifying purchase even though I was only $.10 away from a $30 purchase for the $10 gift card.

        • Anonymous says:

i don’t know if there is a written policy but i have never had a problem getting the EB if I was at least 98% toward the amount. Next time you are told that, just let what you have go and see if it prints, CVS tracks on the receipt and if it happens not to print, then you can go ahead and buy the extra item at that time. Often, the cashiers (and managers) do not know how there own programs work.

        • Anonymous says:

It isn’t written, but it has proven to work over and over again. 98% of the threshold will work. Trust me, I just had a manager tell me the same thing the other day (thought I need to buy 2 $.99 items to finish up my $1.05 requirement) and I asked him to just please try it with one. It worked :) He’s been a manager there for years and he didn’t know it. Just goes to show they don’t know everything. That’s what we’re here for ;)
