This week, Rite Aid was the store to shop! Most of the things that I bought there were free after coupons and +Up Rewards. There were plenty of freebies and great deals at CVS, Walgreens and Target too. I was particularly excited about the free Alexia sweet potato fries at Target! Which deal was your favorite this week?

  1. Anyone (besides me) have an issue with Wags accepting the 2 $3 off Advil Q’s? Verbiage on the Q says “limit one Q per purchase of products and quantities stated. transaction. LIMIT OF 4 LIKE Q’S in same shopping trip. Etc….SO they’d only allow me to use 1 Q rather than the 2. Anyone???

  2. Sarah says:

At CVS I found the Colgate Max Fresh marked down to 99 cents, so I grabbed two and used a $1/2 MQ with the $2.50 CVS Q and got $1.50 in overage! Look for the blue kind that says “with germ-fighting strips.”

  3. Kymba says:

I’m going tomorrow. Hope I don’t have the same problems. Also, anyone having problems finding the Schick Hydro Disposables? I can’t find them anywhere. Guess it’s too new of an item.

    • Chelsea Kay says:

Mine were in the very front of the store. They have a couple of shelves by the cosmetics counter and that’s where I saw them. I think that’s where they put their new/featured products sometimes.

I received some coupons from the cvs coupon machine. 1$ off 2 large dove chocolate bars, 1$ off mars valentine bagged candy, 2 off 3 bags of Hershey’s valentine candy8 oz or more. Can I use any of these for the Hershey’s deal????

    • janinefromcali says:

looks like only the 2 off 3 bags of hersheys from the mix.

    • ah8908 says:

You can’t use the $2 off 3 bags because of the coupon’s size restriction. The Hershey’s Simple Pleasures are 5.6 oz bags. The coupon says off bags 8 oz or larger, at least mine does anyway. I did the same deal as above and 50 cents per bag is still a great deal!

  5. diana says:

I had a problem with walmart today my razor coupons would not scan and I was told they did’nt have to key them in if they want scan then thats just your problem not there’s

    • uvwxyz says:

Yes, that’s why I take good care of Q’s I will use at Walmart. Don’t fold them and make sure the printer’s ink is good. Cause if they don’t scan they won’t accept them.

  6. Westend1Bayside says:

I went to do the same deal, listerine, almay, chloraseptic and the poise. At my wags there were no tags on ANYTHING and of course I spent more time looking thru the sales paper than anything else. The prices were $1 to $2 more than what was posted and I said to myself, “Screw this!!” Put my basket down in the isle and walked out!!! I am banning wags along with walmart!!

    • gala says:

those are the 2 store i swore off a while back, just not worth the aggravation. i’m a big cvs and publix girl

      • CrazyMomOf11 says:

I totally agree with you, I love Publix and CVS. Walgreens rarely ever gives me deals I can use like CVS does!

      • AmandaLee says:

Agreed, though as far as regular prices, Target has the best. But when Publix bogos, they definitely do it well! But I would never buy anything that wasn’t on sale there. CVS is my number one!

  7. I had the same problem with the chloraseptic spray. It wouldn’t take the coupon. The manager then went and got a regular chloraseptic spray, not the honey warming that was on sale, and the coupon worked. He said that the coupon was only intended for regular and would therefor not “push it” through. I was disappointed. I have read many other comments from people have trouble with the savings books coupons not working because it only works for certain products but not others (clean and clear face scrub was another one I read about so I didn’t even try that one a few weeks ago because the comments were explosive with hardship!) It makes me hesistant to use these savings book coupons; it’s almost like they have it planned so you wont get it for free!

    • marcosusy913 says:

I was told the same thing about the chloraseptic :(

      • stwt2003 says:

I was told the same thing but registar printed out a 3 dollar rr. so 3 rr plus 1/1 mq is $4 off.

    • MissAnh says:

I was told the same from my Walgreens, but luckily, the manager push it through for me. He wouldn’t accept my manufacture coupon with it though.

  8. Melissa says:

I am beginning to think couponing at Walgreens is more trouble than it’s worth…..

This week I went in to buy the Chloraseptic and Campbell’s soup. The store coupon would not take (although the manager finally pushed it through). I returned a few days later to use my RR to buy the Almay eye shadow (I love these!) and not only did the product not ring up at the sale price, it did not print RR either. I asked a manager, and after telling me several times that I was reading the ad wrong and that I didn’t get RR because I used a mfr coupon, she disappeared into a back room and reappeared with a photocopied rebate form – it says my store’s coupon machine (?) is not set up for the Almay deal, but I can mail in my receipt and will receive the $4 RR in 6-8 weeks. Did this happen to anyone else?

    • Mel says:

The Chloroseptic coupon beeped for me as well but the cashier pushed it through. I did not try to buy the Almay. I have had so many issues with Walgreens that I shop at Rite Aid mostly now.

    • greenthumbgirl says:

Had the same problem with my Almay eye shadow, but the RR was printing for the eye pencil and the manager rang up the eye pencil and gave me the shadow and it printed the RR. Don’t know if they could do that for you.

      • janinefromcali says:

i noticed not all the intense i colors were ringing up at the advertised price. so, i bought two that did and got RR (in seperate transactions of course)

    • Melanie says:

At my Walgreens (Boise, Id.) I was able to use the MQ for the Almay but I just had to have a filler item because I was using a RR from a previous visit and I did 3 transactions all the same and I still got the RR from each transaction. You should take your Walgreens coupon policy (which can be found on this website) next time you go? Some of the eye shadows did not show the sale price on the shelf but rang up with the sale price at the register. Maybe your store was different?

    • Anonymous says:

I couldn’t even try the Chloraseptic deal because the shelves were empty. Almay worked though,

    • lisa says:

im with u on that. all the walgreens in my area which is 4 stores are like that. most of their employees and managers have no knowledge in their own policy that i don’t even shop there anymore. im not gonna waste my time although they have a bunch of freebie vitamins and meds and all. most of them i wont even need so why bother to go through the hassle. i’m back and forth between cvs and rite aid. depending on which stores got better deals. was shopping more at cvs those weeks with the cash card deal this week has been a rite aid week..

i stopped going to walgreens unless its free at the end of the trans. CVS is my fave
