    Before :)

  2. Anonymous says:

The % off coupons cannot be used on sale prices, which I believe the coke 12pk is at 5/$15.

  3. Jenny says:

Also, just to let you know…. Nivea aftershave and shaving gel was on clearance for 1.29 and 1.09 so with the buy 1 get aftershave free coupon from a while back…. this is a GREAT deal. To make it even greater…. IT SPITS OUT 4 ECB afterwards!!! I was so excited I bought it even without the coupons and its still a money maker! Make sure to scan it in the scanner because it doesnt say that its on clearance! Hope someone else is able to get the deal as well. This was in SoCal is anyone was wondering. Thanks!

  4. Katlyn says:

Coke 12 packs are $2.98 in my ad this week, same deal as last week (buy $15, get $5EB). I’m in Northern California.

  5. Frank says:

Hi KCL PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION, OR ANYONE WHO WONDERED ABOUT THIS.

Hi, i wanted to know if i bought items that produced an ECB and i wanted to return those items, am i allowed too? Even when i get the ECB? Do i need to return both like ECB and the items in order for a full refund?

    • Anonymous says:

You can return the item for a full refund–whatever price rang up on the receipt, without returning the extra bucks. (but…every store is different, so be prepared in case they do ask for it back) IMO, it is a personal ethical choice you make whether to then use the extra buck or not.

    • Jenny says:

I work at CVS, and this is very frowned upon because its like you kinda taking the ECB without the product. I know once and while its okay and that it is okay becuase you realize you didnt need it, but if we notice a trend… they will never allow returns from that customer. our policy! hope that helps!!!

      • Frank says:

How can they tell, and i wanted to know the preview for crest 3d white stripes say that save $5 with card and $10 on instant coupon. Can i still use the 20% coupon for this?

  6. Tabitha says:

Is the Gillette deal really a limit of 2? Something isn’t working right for me. I bought two fusion razors, a 4 count fusion cartridge and a 6 count venus cartridge which totalled $59.46 but I only received $10 extra bucks. My receipt says that I have $43.47 toward the “spend 30 get 10 EB” reward and need $16.53 for another reward. I used coupons. Do mfg coupons or CVS coupons reduce the amount that counts toward the reward? I can’t decide if I should go buy more items to get another $10 EB, or If I am limited to one. The tracking just doesn’t make sense to me. Any insight is appreciated!!

By the way, this blog is one of my favorites. So helpful!!

    • Anonymous says:

Coupons, manuf or CVS, do not count against the total required to trigger an extra care buck. It does not seem you are limited to 1 deal because it tells you that you need xx amount to receive the reward, meaning reward #2. Look over your receipt and see what adds up to the 43.47 and try to decipher what counted and did not count for the deal, as it appears not all of your items tracked. I suspect the refill cartridges did not count, simply because of the 15.99 difference (59.46-43.47) According to the post above, all Gillette shaving items should count for this deal, so if you can determine what counted and what did not, bring it to the manager’s attention and they can “force” print the reward for you. The only problem you may face is if the manager is not familiar with the 98% rule–I am not sure it is printed in their policy???

  7. Tara Ladow says:

I bought the gillette fusion proglide razor and cartridge for men, and they are totally tracking into the every $50/get 5 ECB on my beauty club rewards. Eeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Anonymous says:

Can anyone tell me how close to $30 do I need to get before coupins to get the $10ECB? My calculation for buying just the pro glide razor and 4 ct refil will get me to$29.54. Will it trigger the ECB or will I need to buy another item. Thanks

  9. Ashley says:

I noticed with the Buy 4 Eucerin deal when you spend $20, you get $10 extra bucks. But in doing my calculations buying 4 only totals $19.96. So you’ll be missing out on the extra bucks…anyway to get around it?

  10. Lori says:

Hi everyone. I can’t seem to find the Always coupon in my P&G 1/27. Is anyone else experiencing this or have I simply overlooked it?

  11. HOlly says:

Oh ya, & the Nature Made Vitamin D was like $10.99.. What the Heck?

  12. HOlly says:

I just came from CVS & all the Clean & Clear was at least $6.29.. BOOO

  13. Julie says:

I have tried to locate the NatureMade Vitamin D deal at 2 different CVSes with no luck. All I see is 90 for 9+$! Someone pls help!!

  14. Hollie says:

On the Gillette deal I thought it was limit one per household and now it says two? I’m confused.

    • Anonymous says:

sometimes, once people begin doing the deal, they notice on the bottom of the receipt that the limit has increased–it happens every now and again–good for us!!

  15. stephanie says:

Can you use a bogo free coupon with a $ off coupon at cvs?

    • Anonymous says:

CVS may allow it but the coupon wording may not. Read the fine print on the coupon and if it states something like “limit one coupon per quantity stated” then the BOGO coupon attaches to both the paid item and the free item so a second $ off coupon would not be allowed.

  16. Earl K. says:

I put together a pretty good deal on Listerine if anybody’s interested.

Buy 2 of the 1L bottles for 6.49 and one of the 1.5L bottles for 7.29=20.27.

Use 3 dollar off coupons THEN stack them with the 2 off of 2 mouthwash or toothpaste(from the coupon machine last week), hence 20.27-3-2=15.27 but you get 10 dollars in extracare bucks, thus, a net cost of 5.27 for 3.5L.

  17. Alisha says:

Hello! I have a $3/$15 Vitamin CVS Q. For the Nature Made ($4.49) that are B1G1, would I need to buy 4 or 8 to reach the $15 pre-coupon total? Either way it’s a good deal, just wondering. Thanks!

    • Anonymous says:

The BOGO sale would ring up as 1 for $4.49 and 1 for $0, so I would say you need to buy 8 to reach the $15. Is there another vitamin that you might need at a slightly higher price to help you reach the limit rather than buying 8 of the same? Also, don’t forget about the Man coupon available for Nature Made. try the print coupon tab on this site or go to the Nature Made site.

  18. atayl16 says:

    Hi again,
I was wondering about rain checks… If I get a rain check for an item that prints extrabucks, will they print when I use the rain check even though the sale is no longer running?

    • Anonymous says:

They will indicate right on the raincheck that EBs are involved and the cashier will have to force-print them when you redeem your raincheck. HTH.

  19. Anonymous says:

I’m having an issue with this site and wanted some help, please. I know this is a well read post so I’m hoping someone can help. When I click on a blog post to read it further and see the comments I cannot get back to where I left off at in the blog postings. I used to be able to hit the back arrow button, but that does not work for me anymore (it’s not my computer because it works on other sites) I then have to hit the blog tab and start over at the beginning (pg 1 even if I was on page 4) Is any one else having this issue or can someone please advise me on a better way to get back to my place in the blog postings once I have read an entry. THANKS!!

    • Dawn says:

I find things don’t go where they once did either. Not sure about the back button, I always open a new page in another tab to solve that problem, but even when I press the button to go to comments I still have to scroll all the way down the page past the deals to get there, and I never used to have to. Not that big of a deal, but…

      • Anonymous says:

Thanks for responding I will try the new tab hint! Now that you mention it, I have noticed having to scroll down for the comments, too!

    • newbie says:

Omg ! Im glad Im not the only one experiencing this. i used to get so frustrated. unfortunately i Dont know of a solution

      • Anonymous says:

Dawn’s advice on opening a new window has been working for me. I right click on the mouse and choose “open link in new window” (or tab) and the link I want to read opens in a new tab at the top of my screen and then I just close that window when I’m done and I go right back to where I was before in the “original” window—this works out much better!!!

      • Anonymous says:

        ignore duplicate entry

  20. For the Purex Crystal Softener deal my RP 1-27 only has 1.50/2 instead of 1.00/1 =[

  21. Earl K. says:

The ALL bogo deal revisited. It didn’t ring up as I thought it would, meaning, I though it would show both items priced to exceed the 15 dollars required to trigger the savings star deal. Instead, it showed one @7.79 and the other free. Hence, i presume that one has to buy 4 bottles (7.79*2=15.58) to trigger the SS 5 dollar coupon.

    Am I incorrect here?

  22. Hollie says:

With the Always/Tampax deal, even though it is limit to 1 EB per household can I still get the 2/$6 deal if I would like to purchase more?

  23. Faith says:

Went to CVS today — used a coupon that was emailed to me from my CVS — went to use it they said it did not match my CVS card — has anyone had this happen before —should I get another card

    • Betty says:

I had that problem in the past- my husbands and my cards were different so would always get them mixed up and they would refuse coupons/eb. So I just got a new card and only use that one and gave my hubby a copy of that card too- so we use the same card always- no mix ups! Much easier :)

      • Faith says:

I only have the one card that is the strange thing – it was the vitamin coupon for $10

        • Betty says:

hmmm that is strange? Srry couldnt help :)

        • Anonymous says:

Yes, I have had that happen and I have read where others have had that issue as well. As discussed in a previous post, myself (and others) are beginning to notice that sometimes the ECB do not have all of the numbers from our card printed on them and this is causing problems. I think sometimes if I use my telephone number instead of my card and earn ECB it causes problems when I go to use the ECB on a future transaction. I have also read somewhere in the blog world that there was an error on CVS’s part on some coupon (vitamin–not sure) where everyone’s coupon was beeping. Bottom line, I would try calling corporate instead of getting a new card OR try again at a different store or cashier because when I have had this issue, the cashier usually forced it through.

  24. rosemary says:

Is the Pantene deal a roll over from last week deal? I did the tide deal last week and was wondering if I did the Pantene deal this week will I still get the 10.00 in extra bucks back.

  25. Anonymous says:

    Thanks, added it in :)

  26. Pilyoc says:

There is cvs coupon for $2 off two toothpastes exp 2/18

  27. Amakaria says:

Hi Everyone! So I went to CVS yesterday, and I got to the checkout with my $10 off purchases of $50, and a $4 off a cosmetics purchase of $12 or more. My transaction was both over 50, and had well over $12 in cosmetics but they wouldn’t let me use both coupons… They said if I was using one then I couldn’t use the other. Does anyone know if this was right???

    • well I just read the fine print a few minutes ago and it says you cant use both.

    • Anonymous says:

In general (and according to their policy), you can use both in one transaction as long as you satisfy each separately: $12 in cosmetics AND $50 in other purchases. However, many of the “purchase-based” coupons are starting to state a stipulation on them that prohibits using them with other purchase-based coupons. And that will supersede policy.

      • Amakaria says:

When you say $12 in cosmetics AND $50 in “other” purchases, does that mean that the $12 in cosmetics cannot be calculated into the $50 if I want to use both Q’s?

      • Dawn says:

my purchase based coupons always state they cannot be combined with any other purchase based coupon, “such as a $4 off $20 purchase”. I just always separate them, saves me any issues at the register.

    • Betty says:

Ive also had this happen and the manager explained to me to make sure to present the $10 off $50 FIRST! Otherwise your total drops below the required purchase price and will beep. Then hand the $4/$12. Finally use any other coupons- I now have no issues with following his advice- Hope this helps :)

      • Anonymous says:

This method was working for me as well, but this week it did not and left me in a bit of a frenzy at the register trying to make it all work. I think the wording is beginning to change on some of the CVS coupons which require you to meet each coupon individually or only use one $ off coupon per transaction.

    • cyanseraph says:

you should have been able to use both I have done the almost the same transactions and was allowed to use both

      • Amakaria says:

I have done it before too.. The cashier probably forced it through, but I like to know what’s allowed/not allowed so I don’t run into problems at the checkout…

        • cyanseraph says:

The best way to know is to hand the $4 off of $12 if the subtotal was still over $50 after the coupon then you should still be able to use the $10 0ff $50 coupon.

  28. NJCouponChic says:

There is a new P&G rebate $15 on $50 purchase which will be great with the current week sale.

  29. 윤태 says:

The products that give ECB but doesn’t state a sale price… will the % off coupons work on those?

As long as it’s not a BOGO deal, anything that doesn’t include a price will have a suggested scenario that includes a possible item and it’s USUAL regular price. Those are the items that will qualify for the % off.

  30. MelissaCantCook says:

Is this a typo, or am I not understanding something…..

Buy 2 Nature’s Bounty Fish Oil $8.49, regular price
    Buy One Get One Free
Use two $2.50/1 Nature’s Bounty Fish Oil or CoQ-10, Limit one coupon per customer from SS 2/3 (exp 3/5)

How can you “use two” when it clearly says “Limit one” ? Would you be permitted one coupon for EACH item you buy and you are buying two? Or do you just have to have somebody else there shopping with you, therefore having one per customer? lol

    Thanks!

I did the Eucerin deal last week, can I do it again this week? Thanks!!!

  32. Newbie says:

There is no stock up symbol next to the CVS Omeprazole ($16.99/$5 ECB). Should I wait?

    • Anonymous says:

That’s really a personal choice, but that’s probably less than a 50% savings and we don’t recommend that as a stock-up price.

      • Newbie says:

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I trust what is on this site over all the others. Thank you for all you do!

  33. b.mers says:

on the gillette deal, can you use 2 B1G1 q’s AND 2 $2/1 q’s since one is for the free items and the other is for the full price items? does that make sense?

    • Anonymous says:

With the PG coupons (and many others are following their lead), you cannot stack a dollar, or cents-off coupon with a BOGO coupon. BOGO coupons apply to BOTH items (the one you’re buying and the one that is free) and therefore, using an additional coupon on one those items is the same as trying to use 2 $-off coupons on one item, which is a no-no. The specific wording that prohibits this is on the coupon itself: “one coupon per purchase of quantities stated.”

    • Julie Layer says:

My cvs is always $2.00 or more higher on items that are listed here. So frustrating, the cheapest Gillette razors are $9.79 and I did the clean and clear deal, the cheapest there was $5.79. Also couldn’t print my coupons for it and forgot to see if the 4$off of $12 purchase would work as someone said on here, dang it!

      • daltonjsmom says:

I feel totally sorry for you. I have the opposite problem. My CVS’s prices are often lower, meaning a carefully crafted deal that is AWESOME can be ruined by having to purchase an extra item without a coupon to make it work. Say for example, when the deal is 3 6.79 items to hit $20 and my store sells the same item for 5.99, so I end up buying an extra or skipping the deal. Also the store is super-small so doing one deal means you clear the shelf (of 3!) and feel like a heel. Good luck, Julie!

      • Anonymous says:

I feel your pain… my stores prices are also much higher than listed here, which does often screw alot of deals up! I usually do a walk through of my store to scout out prices of items I am looking to purchase that week (as well as scan my card for extra coupons)… then I plan my trip accordingly! Such a pain, but alleviates a headache at the register when things dont work out as planned!

  34. Tami Primm says:

i tried this today my cvs said the total had to be 70 before coupons to use the 4 off 20 and the 10 off 50 beauty

  35. asiamommi says:

Why can’t you use two coupons for the Always deal?

    • Anonymous says:

      You can: $3 each x 2 = $6 – (2) $1 Q = $4 OOP – $2 EB = $2 ($1 each)

      • jackie says:

I do not see the always coupon in my PG insert… does anyone know if this is a regional coupon? I have five copies of the PG insert and none of it contains the always coupon…

        • dyron. says:

it was a regional coupon. my P&G didn’t get the Always coupon either. BUT check your SS 1/27 some got a $1/1 Always Feminine Product. but again it was regional. :/

        • P&G coupons should never be regional are you sure you didn’t use it already?

          • jackie says:

Yes, I don’t normally buy always brand since it’s a bit pricey so was looking forward to doing this deal, but it’s a bummer that i don’t have the coupon.

          • Laneylani says:

P&G coupons can be regional in terms of amounts (e.g. $1/2 vs $.50/1)

          • Dawn says:

I didn’t get it, and when I check the data base on another site for the coupons we get in our area specifically, it does not show up either. So I know for sure we didn’t get it, but I clip and keep every coupon we get, and it’s not in my binder.

        • daltonjsmom says:

Don’t know where you are, but in central MO I received neither this coupon, nor the one mentioned below.

        • I didn’t have them in my inserts either…BUT, I was able to find a coupon machine at CVS near the Always pads, $1/1, so I was able to scroe this deal afterall!

  36. nandranie says:

Can I used 4/20 and 10 of 50 together. My total has to be $50 or $70?

    • nandranie says:

The 10 of 50 is beauty

    • Anonymous says:

$70 total, and $50 would have to be beauty items. But it is before coupons, so that helps bring that down :)

    • tammy says:

I was lead to believe you could not use more than one $ off of $ per transaction. The coupons I have say: Limit of one purchase based coupon, IE, $4 off $20 purchase, per transaction

      • Anonymous says:

Policy says you can–even gives an example, but SOME purchase-based coupons specifically prohibit it. Always read them carefully :)

  37. Karen says:

I received a 4 off 12 cosmetics purchase from the coupon machine. What is considered cosmetics, just makeup?

  38. I’m really excited this week for the clean and clear deal! I have also a cvs coupon from last week for $2/$5 facial care, so this will be a .50 mm for me after eb! Wish I had man other one, but used one copy of it this week for a great Nivea men’s deal. I didn’t see it on this weeks cvs post, so if anybody gets this in time, use bogo mq buy Nivea men’s face wash (4.99 receive $2 RR) get nivea men’s shave cream free (also receive $2 RR) even w/o the cvs coupon, if you don’t have it, it’s only $1 for both!

    • Christina says:

Just looked in my binder and I DO HAVE the $2/$5 facial care coupon… I was already super excited about the Clean & Clear, this makes it even better… I think I love you :)

    • Lesley says:

Can we use three of the $1 coupons for Clean and Clear?

      • Anonymous says:

In her post, KCL states that the 2 different coupons each say one per person, so that is 2 for you and I guess if you brought along a friend, husband, or child, you may be able to use another coupon

        • JDWalker says:

But it says limit for 4 in the same shopping trip??? What?

          • Anonymous says:

            where do you see that?

            • Lesley says:

It says it on the coupon…the sentence after it says it is a limit of one per person.

          • Anonymous says:

Limit 4 total, meaning any combination of coupons from different sources that are for the same item. But EACH one of those coupons says one per person. So we list using two different ones one time each. Hope that helps.

    • Lesley says:

Can we use three $1 coupons for the Clean and Clear deal?

      • lisa says:

My cvs, (santa ana, CA) could care less about how many coupons you use…… We used 30 dawn coupons (bought 31) on the buy $30 get $10 back, making the cost $5.00 after all coupons and extrabucks for 31 bottles.

    • Jennifer27 says:

I use a lot of the Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing sheets. (Or whatever they’re called. :P) I’m wondering if these are included. I already have plenty of the face wash. I just want my sheets! I looked at the ad and it just said that clearance and trial sizes are excluded. Anyone have any idea???

    • Kerry says:

This sounds like a great deal, but I don’t see the EB’s listed in my ad…what page was it on? Thx!

Question about the savings star deal for all. Does it have to be 15 before or after the coupons are applied?

    • Brooke Watson says:

Another blog I trust seems to have the savingstar stacked on the All coupons. And the savingstar rep was answering questions on that blog that day–he said nothing about her deal being unattainable. :)

      • Earl K. says:

Do you know anything about price, meaning, how many am I going to have to buy with the 2 off of 2 coupons to get the savings star deal?

      • Anonymous says:

It is not “unattainable” but it is also not recommended. SavingStar policy indicates that their coupons are manufacturer-sponsored and are not intended to be used in conjunction with other coupons. I know that many other sources of info disregard that guideline by Savingstar, but we do not :)

        • Anonymous says:

          More info from Savingstar’s FAQs:

“Do SavingStar eCoupons stack with in-store discounts or
          manufacturer’s coupons?

SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way. Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for shoppers to redeem more than one manufacturer’s coupon for the same purchase. Using in-store coupons in combination with SavingStar eCoupons is not a problem. Using coupons from other services in combination with a SavingStar “One or Many” deal is not a problem.

In the future, we may implement mechanisms to limit the combination of SavingStar eCoupons with other manufacturer coupons.”

Does anyone know if we can use the extrabucks from one card on another card like we can with rite aid +ups?

    • nandranie says:

No you can’t the number for the card you used is on the extrabucks

    • kp says:

Nope thats the first thing they told me when getting card

    • swirlypop says:

No, the ECB are coded for each specific card.

    • Sharon80 says:

I didnt know we could use the +ups we get at rite aid on a different card than we received them from…thanks that will make things a little easier on me! :)

    • Ask your store manager. I’ve used them from my husband’s card (he usually gets them on accident or chance), but it’s very rare.

    • Anonymous says:

No, I shop for my Mom and once I mistakenly mixed up the CVS coupons and extra bucks giving her coupons and Extra bucks on my order and the register beeped because it recognized the coupons did not belong to the card scanned

      • lisa says:

has anyone noticed that when you tell them ur number instead of scanning ur card the ecb does not have the last 4 of ur card # but the lfirst 4 of the last 5 numbers instead? for example ur card ends in 12345 instead of it being 2345 it reads 1234. i’ve had a problem redeeming some of those ecbs before.

        • Anonymous says:

I have noticed that some of my EB do not have all of the numbers but I never related it to giving them my phone number–i will have to pay closer atrtention. I have noticed problems with the EB printed using my phone number though—gets frustrating sometimes when they say “you must be using the wrong card”

What happened to all the good deals like they had at the beginning of the year?

    • Anonymous says:

They come in waves. If you don’t see anything you like this week, you’re sure to see something you do like in the next couple of weeks :)
