Yes you are absolutely correct! It should not be so difficult to use a perfectly valid coupon. Unfortunately, even if the cashiers are properly trained there are a few who decide to do things “their own way” not fully understanding that their actions not only anger customers and other cashiers but it reflects poorly on the company as well. The best way to correct this type of behavior and/or misinformation on the cashier’s behalf is to alert management. Based on my personal experience, managers can’t be everywhere all of the time and aren’t always aware of a cashier’s behavior unless someone alerts them. And having said that, I have never met a manager who would not do something to correct the behavior and do what they could to make that customer happy. I have never felt like a customer was ratting out a cashier and I know not everyone thinks the way I do but unless management is made aware of a bad situation corrections can’t be made. And calling or emailing corporate will always lead to positive, corrective actions and if enough customers are complaining about coupon troubles corporate has no choice but to respond. Don’t be afraid to speak up either known or anonymous because it will help not only you in future visits but other couponers as well! Sorry for the rant, just want others to know that sometimes it can be scary to speak up but employees don’t always take it as a personal attack and the squeaky wheel does always get the grease, so to speak :) Keep on couponing!!!

    • I didn’t get the deal, they wouldn’t let me use a $1 off q when it was only .79 I asked her if she could just adjust the q down, and she said no. So I just didn’t get the item. Funny, because I did this deal a month or two ago at another Rite Aid with no problems. Actually, the cashier there congratulated me! Guess it just depends on who you get.

i went to my local riteaid today and the cashier didnt allowed me to use $1 off revlon nail from rite aid perks for buying Revlon Compact Emery Boards, 10 ct $1.25 which comes out to be 0.75c after 40% off.
she was not interested in understanding any coupon policy.

is she right?if not how should i explain her?

The cashier can adjust the price down to the amount that the item is ringing up at after the discount. I just bought nail clippers $1.45 regular price that rung up at .87 after discount. Register beeped and I had to tell the cashier to adjust the price of coupon down to .87 (I used to be the manager there so he knew that I knew what I was talking about!). One of the supervisors had to come over and authorize the adjustment but she was totally fine with it. If it happens again just kindly ask for a manager. Good luck!

Is this considered a MQ or a Rite Aid coupon? I have a Revlon $1/1 MQ from the paper last week. Can I combine these?

Two out of three local Rite Aids near me charge $2.99 for the cheapest Revlon Nail Tools. Luckily, I have found one Rite Aid that charges the prices seen in the photo above!
