When this happens to me, the clerk adds a penny to the price and both coupons work just fine.

My Rite Aid flamed out on the Bic Flame Disc. Anybody else get one?

Mine was out of them too. Got a rain check

Regarding the Adperks from Riteaid…do they have to be printed or do they come off automatically when they scan your wellness card?

You have to print them

Isn’t the Colgate free if we wait till next week?

Yes it is!

I just tried to buy an item using a manufactor coupon and a riteaid one, but because the item was only 4.99 and not $5, I couldn’t use both coupons because they would owe me a penny. Anyone else have this problem?

If that was the only item you bought then they won’t do it. If you have other items for it to go towards then you can do it.

Chrystal: is that in the coupon policy?

I’m not sure if I understand the scenario, but I’ve used both types of coupons at Rite Aid on the same product and end up paying just the tax (they adjust the 2nd coupon to the selling price minus one coupon).

Then again, I don’t think I have ever just purchased one item in this kind of transaction to be safe, so if you try this again, maybe throw in a pack of gum or something :)…although this might defeat the purpose of using coupons.

I don’t think that it’s in the policy. But I have never had any of my coupons adjusted though either. I think it depends on the cashier. I live in Oregon so no sales tax here.

If 4.99 is a sale price when you use your wellness card, have them use coupons first (I choose to have them use coupons first every time anyway). If 4.99 is the regular price, the policy said they will accept the coupon for the price of the item, so they are supposed to adjust the coupon down. I know my Rite Aid refuses to do this though, and they wont adjust up the price of the item either, so I end up not being able to get a lot of really good deals.

This happens almost every time I go to Rite Aid. I buy a cow tail for 35 cents and it works every time.

cow tail :)…I had to look that one up :). I can’t think of something at my Calif. store for that low a price! That’s cool.
