Better-than-Free Stayfree Pads at Rite Aid!

This week’s Rite Aid ad contains a coupon to save $2.00 on two packages of Stayfree pads. Plus, this week the pads are on sale, two for $5.00. After the in-ad coupon, they will ring up two for $3.00! There is also a Catalina offer for Stayfree pads. Catalinas are not advertised in store circulars. A Catalina is a coupon that prints at checkout. It can be used on a future Rite Aid shopping trip on almost anything in the store. Be sure to check if your store has a Catalina machine before trying this deal, because some stores do not. Here are the Catalina details:

Buy Stayfree Maxi Pads or Ultra Thins between 5/20 – 6/16

Buy 2, Receive $1.00 Catalina
Buy 3, Receive $2.00 Catalina
Buy 4 or more, Receive $3.00 Catalina

Also, this month at Rite Aid, there is an unadvertised +Up Reward promotion on Stayfree products. Spend $20.00 and receive a $5.00 +Up Reward! This $20.00 can be met after coupons, and it can also be met over the course of several transactions. The bottom of each receipt will “track” how much has been spent so far toward that $20.00 subtotal.

Here are some noteworthy reminders:

  • The in-ad Rite Aid coupon has a limit of one coupon per customer. Depending on your cashier and store, you may be able to use one per transaction or one per day. If your store will only allow you to use one per day, consider shopping at multiple stores or on multiple days.
  • The Stayfree manufacturer coupon also has a limit of one per person. Use two different Stayfree coupons by yourself. Also, shop with a friend or family member, and each person can present one unique coupon, even in a single transaction. If shopping alone, consider going to multiple stores or shopping on multiple days.
  • Earn one Catalina per transaction.
  • Remember to check to see if your store has a Catalina machine before shopping.

I whent to 2 stores and it didn’t print the calalina for the stay free but the 3rd store did. What happen? Can I go back and ask for it? or should I call Rite Aid? or I just have to miss that deal…

Reply

Maybe the stores did not have a catalina machine or it was not on or broken? There is a number out there for the catalina company but I do not know it–sorry. I have read where some people call the catalina people and get thier reward. Try to google it or do a search here on the blog.

I went to do this deal yesterday and I have a question. I purchased 2 stay free pads $2/5.00 but forgot to hand in my RA ad coupon with it because my amount when the cashier rang me up was $2.00 . So i gave her my 2 1/1 coupons and oop $0.00 but I didn’t realize she used my $3.00 up reward on my card to pay that is why it was only $2.00. So I’m asking is there a way for me to get that $3 up back? I wanted the transaction to go this way… Buy 2 stay free pads $2/5 use in ad RA coupon 2/$3 and then use 2/$1 off coupon making oop $1.00. I thought there was a button I needed to push use this up reward if I wanted to use it on the transaction? Thanks to who reads this and hope it makes sense.

You may try to ask the manager if they would give you credit because you forgot to use the RA coupon, but don’t be surprised if they do not. Another option would be to try and return the items but you would probably lose your coupons. You may just have to take it as a lesson learned. This type of mix up with the rewards loaded to the card and automatically deducting is why it is suggested that you opt out of the load to card for the Ups and have them printed on your receipt so you can better “control” how they are used.

Just wanted to share my shopping experience with like-minded couponer souls. I went to RA yesterday to get 2 more of the Stayfree pads I needed to earn the $5 UPS. When I got there, there was a woman with a grocery cart next to the Stayfree shelves who had her cart loaded to the brim with EVERY Stayfree pad that was on sale for 2/$5. She had completed cleared the shelves. I asked her if she was buying all of them and she said yes. I asked if she was willing to share 2 of them with me and she said yes and told me to pick any two from her cart. Since starting to use coupons and follow this site, this is the first time I have seen someone clear the shelves completely of a product on sale when there were so many – must have been about 40 in her cart. Not cool!

Bummer! That really ruins it for the rest of us, doesn’t it?

didnt get my catalina?? What can I do ????

Reply

Are you sure you purchased the right products? Does your store have a catalina machine? There is a number out there for the Catalina company. Sorry, I do not have it. You can google it and call and inquire with them if you are sure you purchased the correct items.

Reply

Thanks for the heads up Krazy Couponer! This deal worked like a charm. I feel like I got paid to walk out the door with a product I will use.

Reply

That’s the best kind of deal!

Reply

Where can I find a coupon from RP? And what does RP stand for?

Reply

RP = Red Plum Insert (comes in the Sunday paper)

Reply

Red Plum. It is an insert that comes in the Sunday newspaper.

Reply

Will the catalina only print for Stayfree products, or will it print for the Carefree products, as well?

Reply

The Catalina is only for the Stayfree, not Carefree or o.b.

Reply

When a Catalina doesn’t print (even though the machine was on), is there a phone number I can call to request assistance?

Reply

I’m new to Catalinas. Will it give me $1 off ANY future purchase at Rite Aid or only a purchase of the same item in the future?

Also, has anyone in South Louisiana used this deal? Lately (specifically at Rite Aid) several deals mentioned on this site aren’t on sale or valid in my local stores.

Reply

It will be off anything in the store, with a few exclusions, such as alcohol and cigarettes.

Reply

Help! I purchased 4 of the correct Stayfree products (2 maxi and 2 ultra) but didn’t get the $3 catalina. I asked and was told that the machine was on. (I even have a catalina slip from an earlier trip that advertised the deal, so I know it should work in my area!) What phone number do I call to get this fixed? Thanks!

Reply

How do you get more than one of the coupons from the website? it will only let me print one!!!

Reply

You would need to have more than one computer.

Reply

I just returned from RA and got this deal and all worked exactly as described above – got the $1 catalina. The store was well stocked on these items so I will return later for Transaction #2. Thank you KCL for posting this great FREE deal. These are great donation items!

Reply

You’re welcome!

Reply

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I will keep rolling this deal. I have I could get 20. Oh I have a question. Can you use the in add coupon each transaction, even though it says limit one.

Reply

You’ll have to see how your store handles that. The coupon doesn’t specify whether it is one coupon per customer per DAY or per TRANSACTION, so it is at your store’s discretion.

Reply

Aabout the Stayfree can I use in add coupon, health essentials coupon and Redplum coupon in one bag?? as in above transactions?
Sorry new at this… I am very confused

Reply

yes, you can

Reply

it has to be 2 stayfree bags.

Reply

i bought 2 stayfree with in-ad coupon and MQ’s….1$ catalina didn’t print..:(

Reply

I am super excited for this deal!!!
Now that I’m weaning my baby mother nature came back with a vengence!
Time to stock up! :D

Reply

Perfect! :)

Reply

also is this deal like cvs. if you buy some now, and some latter, it will track.

Reply

Yes.

Reply

Is the Catalina the same as +ups. Does it load latter. Or can I use it on am +up reward in a different transaction?

Reply

Catalina is not the same at UP reward. Catalina is a separate machine next to cash register. UP rewards print out of register or load to your card. The green light must be turned on for catalina machine to work. Catalina is like a manufacture coupon and says use at Rite-aid on it.

Reply

I believe the Catalina deal was only for Sunday. If not, and you were able to get them TODAY, please respond. Thank you in advance.

Reply

the catalina deal is goog between 5/20 – 6/16

I went to 2 different Rite Aids today. At the first Rite Aid I bought 4 in one transaction (with two Rite Aid coupons from the ad and four manufacturer’s coupons) and I did not get a Catalina. At the second Rite Aid I bought four more, used the same amount of coupons, got the $5 +Up reward and I DID get the $3 Catalina. Maybe the machines weren’t turned on at the first Rite Aid? I don’t know, but either way it DID work at one store today.

Reply

Maybe the machine wasn’t on at the first store.

Reply

I did it on Monday and they all printed.

Reply

The Catalina is good through 6/16.

Reply

Didn’t get either OB or Stayfree SS or RP coupons here! :(

Reply

Sorry, Ashley.

Reply

I bought two Stayfree (Ultra thin Overnight) yesterday, but no Catalina produced although my store has the machine. Do all of Stayfree Maxi or Ultra pads produce Catalina coupons?

Reply

They should, yes! Perhaps the Catalina machine wasn’t on?

Reply

Perhaps. But even without Catalina, it was a great deal for overnight pads!!

Reply

I did the same transaction yesterday @ the store in Walnutport, PA and received the $1.00 catalina. HOWEVER, today there was only one Ultra Thin Overnight left so I picked up a 16ct of another Stayfree pad and the Overnight rang up at $2.50, but the 16 ct. was $3.99 — even with the coupon which states Stayfree products with 14 or more count.

Reply

I have the same problem with the price but I told the cashier and she manually adjust the price.

Reply

even i didn’t receive

Reply

I went to one store and it printed out. When I went to another store, none printed out except for a coupon for body wash.. Does that mean the catalina was off, or they don’t have one?

Reply

If you buy 4 you get a $3.00 catalina

Reply

Right.

Reply

Can you use the Catalina from trans #1 on trans #2? and so on and so on…

Reply

I’d like to know too.

Reply

Yes!, you can.

Just got back from doing this deal.

Did (4) transactions, same as listed in this post, but rolled the Catalina.

Trans #1 OOP = $1.33 (includes tax)
(got $1 Catalina)

Trans #2 OOP = .33¢ (paid tax only)
(got $1 Catalina)

Trans #3 OOP = .33¢ (paid tax only)
(got $1 Catalina)

Trans #4 OOP = .33¢ (paid tax only)
(got $1 Catalina & $5+up reward)

Reply

found on a different site:

Catalina Coupon:
Albertsons and Rite-Aid (+UP rewards)

will not honor after expiration date. Be sure to watch those dates!!

Does not limit the amount of catalinas/coupons per purchase as long as it does not go over the purchase amount….you cannot get money back.

**Can be used to purchase the same product – i.e. If you buy cereal and receive a Catalina, you can use that Catalina to purchase more cereal and you will receive another catalina. This is called “rolling” catalinas.**

The best way to maximize catalinas is to purchase the minimum required to receive one in each transaction. For example, if you buy 5 boxes of fruit snacks, you will receive a $2 catalina. But if you purchase 10 boxes in the same transaction, you will still only receive one $2 catalina. So, make two transactions…buy 5 boxes in each and you will get 2 catalinas.

So, Rite Aid allows it and Walgreens does not. 【ツ】

Reply

Walgreens is stupid like that. I stopped shopping there a year ago and have never looked back.

Lol, me too. I only really go there if there is something that is “truly” free using coupons or the same price earning register rewards so I can roll them.

Sorry you don’t like Walgreens, Laura.

I also stopped shopping at walgreens and just like Erika J. only if its truly free :)

I was not able to use the Catalina from trans#1 to trans#2. The RA employee explained it was because the Catalina says it is a manufacturers coupon and you cannot use more than one manufacturers coupon on the same purchase.

Reply

That’s not true because you are already using (2) manufacturers coupons to buy the items, so that’s more than (1) right there.

Did the cashier even try to scan it? All my coupons scanned w/o any problem.

Reply

Yes, the cashier did try to scan the $1 catalina but it would not scan. Yesterday when I went back to buy 2 more of the Stayfree pads that I needed to earn the $5 UPs I tried again, but again the catalina would not scan; however, this time the cashier (a different one) manually entered it as a MQ. Not sure why they weren’t scanning.

Reply

Wow! Wish I went earlier, had gone to Rite Aid on Wednesday and ALL the pads were GONE…completely sold out.

Reply

I did this for the o.b tampons. Paid 4 in separate transactions and 3 stores and got the $5 UP Reward. $1 moneymaker :-)

Reply

Nice!

Question about the in-ad coupon – even though it is labeled Manufacturer’s Coupon I can still combine that in-ad with the $1 off stayfree and $.50 off carefree coupons?

Reply

Where did you find the in-ad coupon? I can’t find any in my 6/2 newspapers.

Reply

The Rite Aid in-ad coupon is in this week’s Rite Aid ad, at the bottom of page 5.

Reply

thanks!!!

Reply

Yes. Even though it says manufacturer coupon, it is actually a Rite Aid coupon, so it can be stacked. Read about how to tell if it’s a Rite Aid coupon by clicking on the “101” tab at the top of our Rite Aid page!

Reply

Question, can I use 2 manufactures coupons on a same product.. like one printed and one from the newspaper… or 2 different from the newspaper?? thank you in advance.

Reply

Yes, you can use two different coupons as long as they look different (like one from the web and one from the newspaper) and as long as your are purchasing at least two packs or pads.

Reply

wow, thanks! this is exciting!!!!!
