  1. Guest says:

When submitting my receipt for the $20 bonus, does there have to be an “offer” along with it or can I just scan the receipt and the barcode on the item?

  2. Kathy says:

I thought the Ibotta offers were good until 9/7 for the autumn bonus, clean bonus and the $20 for 10 items.

  3. iana says:

How do you scan items? I’m brand new to all this and just got a smart phone last week. :)

  4. Keri says:

How do you submit for the bonuses? I went to the bonus section and I dont see any of them listed there… HELP!!!!

  5. Dionna says:

I don’t see any if the autum bonus or the $20 offer in my ibotta. Does anyone know why?

  6. Kim says:

Is there a limit of one per household for Ibotta accounts or can my husband have one on his phone as well?

  7. katherine says:

I just got all my deals lined up and see that my bonuses are no longer there – are they gone?

  8. Aye says:

Does Store Extras from Ibotta only for Costco, Whole Foods, Target, Sam Clubs and Walmart?

  9. Peysmomma says:

Does anyone know if I go do this tonight if I can still get all the bonuses?
Like if I do one now and scan the other receipt at midnight? It ends at 1:59am

  10. Peysmomma says:

I am having trouble finding the softsoap coupon and the 0.50/3 kleenex coupon from transaction 1 =(

  11. beetmom says:

does anyone know how to contact ibotta? i am having issues and haven’t heard back from them and the bonuses expire tomorrow! help!

  12. AJ Russian-Razor Schick says:

Unfortunately ibotta is not giving my “freshen up” bonus even those I bought viva paper towel, Scott bath tissue, and both cottonelle products on the same receipt, same day transaction, and submitted it when in got home. I got credit for buying the items but not the bonus. The error says that the bonus was not active when I submitted my receipt. However since it was after midnight when I submitted, it is on 9/4 date. Whatever.. this really make me angry when businesses aren’t giving the customer what they advertise.

  13. mom2EandL says:

Did this but bought diapers not depends and used price match and red card with employee discount and made money on this without being new to ibotta. Thank you KCL for all the help. The extra money in my wallet has been nice.

  14. ambytes says:

I didn’t get the 10.00 new user bonus. Any ideals why? Also anyone else having problem getting into Ibotta?

  15. ambytes says:

I didn’t know about Target’s debit card that you get another 5% off for using it. Since it is not a credit card, I would have signed up and used it for the Ibotta deals would have made it even better!

  16. Linda Luna says:

Kleenex says the coupon is expired :( !

  17. Naenae says:

It looks like they fixed the Cottonelle issue! I had the same issue and just scanned both again and it worked. I submitted my receipt again and hopefully get my credits tomorrow!

  18. kelso1403 says:

So I bought Colgate Total toothpaste it was not the Colgate Total Advance? Its not working on my Ibotta though should that be scanning?

  19. Sylvia says:

For the day 2 transaction am I allow to repeat items? I don’t need pull-ups, goodnites, depends, poise or huggies diapers and the other items i am buying on day 1. Can i buy again and have it still count?

  20. kelso1403 says:

I have a question. If I bought the wrong toothpaste and go back and exchange it for the correct toothpaste will that still allow me to get the $3.00 credit on Ibotta?! And if I just exchange it do I need to bring another colgatecoupon or would the coupon carry over to the exchange? I’m a new couponer so thanks for the help!

  21. Nicole Pollick says:

Can I receive the 20$ bonus after only the first transaction? I am confused as to why you wrote you received it after the second transaction in the second day when you bought over 10 products on the first transaction.

  22. Cheree says:

This is great and I’m sorry if I missed this in the comments, but can I do all of this at Target, but do the Cottonelle at Walgreens to get the Catalina and still submit everything to Ibotta for the bonuses?? Or do I need to do all of it at Target?

    • Pny Svd says:

Walgreens is not (yet?!) working with Ibotta – so that’s why folks are talking about getting their products at Target or Walmart.

      • bulls34243 says:

I was able to do the Cottonelle at Walgreens and it went through fine.

        • Pny Svd says:

Woops!! SORRY! For some reason, Walgreens wasn’t showing up in my list – Wags **is** an Ibotta store!! Thanks for keeping me in line, bulls34243! ;)

  23. mom2EandL says:

Looked for the soft soap coupon and it didn’t show up on the link; am I missing something?

  24. tarlin83 says:

Question…since the cottonelle is under the bonuses for the $3 freshen up and $3 kitchen can you use it for both?

  25. Wendy says:

So you buy eight items on one day and two on the next day

    • caspar97 says:

i wasn’t sure why the second transaction has 3 items, but either way it should work as long as those two are on separate days

  26. Ty says:

    Any ideas for guys???

  27. Aye says:

Also where is the $1/1 poise feminine care product coupon from Target? I can’t find it.

  28. Aye says:

Is anyone also having issue with Ibotta claiming stuff? I bought a bunch of items from Target and claimed it like 3 hours ago and it still said pending. I made sure all my items scanned properly. I reported an issue. I hope I get credit for my items.

    • chill says:

When you submit your receipt, it clearly states that it can take up to 24 hours to credit your account. Calm down.

      • bulls34243 says:

Wow, what an awesome response. First of all, whenever I claim an item, it usually goes through within about 2 hours. Also, I submitted a Publix claim after the Target one and it was credited immediately. So you don’t need to state the obvious when it doesn’t help explain an inconsistency like that.

    • caspar97 says:

mine is taking longer then normal too. guess we might have to wait the 24 hours this time.

  29. caspar97 says:

Do we have a baby free one for Walmart???? Please say yes!

  30. MH says:

KCL, I love you, but Superbowl? Come on. Super Bowl. You’re too smart to be those people.

  31. beetmom says:

can the diaper and wipes reward be added to this receipt? or do i have to that one seperately?

  32. beetmom says:

Can i do this at more than one store?

    • Carolyn says:

Yes, as long as you follow the requirements for items that need to be purchased in the same transaction, you can purchase items at different stores.

  33. Anonymous says:

Finally finished my shopping and submitting for this deal and Ibotta gave me credit in a few minutes! Total $45.50 deposit. I ended up paying only 27.76 for everything to. I used a free Walmart gift card for 15.41, Target groupon gc for $10(I added in the $5 I paid for it), overages at Walmart on Gillette coupons, price match to Kmart ad, and all the coupons for the deals. So $17.74 MM!
I had the same issue with the Cottonelle tp/wipes but I kept scanning the items in the store till I got two that scanned correct. Some paper came up as wipes, and wipes as paper.

  34. Deanna Lea Cheatham says:

This is AWESOME! getting geared up to do this now.. Question for you though – the $2 Poise on Commonkindness has expired. Is there another product I can sub that might have coupons? Or should I still get it and just eat the $2?

  35. Rebecca Drummond says:

ok. my cottonell tp and the wipes did not work!!! it’s exactly as posted here, exactly what they said the requirements are! do i love the whole transaction?

    • Carolyn says:

Use the scan feature in store. My bathroom tissue came up as wipes and my wipes came up as bathroom tissue. I didn’t buy exactly what was listed, but I bought what qualified. I used the scanner to ensure it would qualify. I have one more transaction to complete to finish but everything I bought in the first transaction listed here worked out in the end and I got the credits.

  36. Angie says:

Hey krazy couponers! I am so excited! I did this scenerio at Target a while ago but added also the huggies diapers with the 2 off Q and it worked out great! I did the advil deal first twice and got $10 in GC which I used in return to pay for this transaction (I am also submitting the advil for the rebate! ).

Here is the breakdown best as I can explain:

I used my phone to scan every item I picked with the Ibotta app to make sure the items were a match.
After coupons, cartwheel discounts and tax added, my total was 58.40. I used the $10 GC and paid $48.40 OOP.
I got home and input all the info into Ibotta and 5 in later I got a notice:
    $10.25 earned from products
    $2 Hug your baby
    $3 Freshen up
    $3 Kitchen & Bath
    50% towards Autum Stock up
    80% towards $20 for 10
    So, $18.25 deposited today,

Then tomorrow, after I buy the Kotex and Poise (with Qs & EB at CVS $0 oop)
    I will receive:
    $0.75 for Poise
    $0.75 for Kotex
    $5.00 Autumn stock up
    $20.00 buy 10 get $20
    totaling $26.50(tom) plus the $18.25(today) = $44.75
So my OOP cost was $48.40 – $44.75 (back from Ibotta) = $3.65 for all this product!!!!
Plus I get the money bags and paypal bonuses. =0)

    Hope this helps!!

  37. Sherri says:

    What is ibotta?

  38. Rebecca Drummond says:

ok. this is a maddening transaction for my brain! lol. question….can we do transaction 1 & 2 at different stores as long as they are on different days?

    • Sara M says:

Yes, you can shop at different stores. The purchases don’t have to be made at the same store.

  39. Eileen Yu says:

Thank you! But can you offer a different second transaction for those of us who don’t use Depends or Poise pads?
    Eileen

  40. heidydeleon says:

How about some of these products that I bought like two weeks ago. Can put in for credit??? I’m looking for my receip and don’t find it. But would love to know. Lol

  41. Ginny says:

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I am new to Ibotta and was able to get these great deals :) However, upon trying to cash out for the first time it requests that I verify my email address. At this point, I realized my email has an extra “.” in it. I attempted to change it and have confirm the correct email, however, it is not changing in my application and I can not cash out. I contacted Ibotta and have not heard back. :( Any recommendations would be appreciated!

  42. maggie says:

im aing trouble with the ibtta app. i bough both the cottonelle wipes and cottonelle bah tisse and it wouldnt take it. i also bought the scotts bath tissue and it wouldnt take that either. ad it wouldnt take my colgate bonus. i reported the issue and i wasnt givncredit for it.did anyone else have an issue

  43. gdbadiang says:

I just wanted to ask, in order to avail the 20$ for 10 ibotta, do they have to purchased in one transaction only..thanks.

  44. Irania donis says:

When the money gets put into paypal, does it go into the card on file? help please!

    • Chrissy Preston says:

No. If you want it to go to your bank account, you have to send it to your bank account through paypal. As far as I know, there is no way to send it to a card through paypal.

  45. v says:

dear kcl, do you have cvs without baby items?

  46. CC says:

I really wish I could do this, but where I live there is a horrible shelf-clearing epidemic.
I once went at 5 am Sunday morning, and there was a lady who cleared the shelf even though she could clearly see I was waiting to get some.
This makes couponing really discouraging and I never really get much. I only get two papers so I don’t buy many products anyway, but with the shelf clearing in addition to that I hardly ever get anything.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    • emkat13 says:

Rain checks are your best bet if you store allows for them. You could also talk to your stores manager and ask if they have any suggestions for you. You never know he or she may clue you into some hidden secrets or hide extra away just for you.

  47. ToniaK says:

Pardon my ignorance…I do not have a Smart Ph and will not be getting one until my contract is up in 12 months!..Any-who, if I were to get my hands on a I-pod Touch could a KCL like myself download Ibotta (and similar apps) on this???

    • emkat13 says:

see my post above this may help you ^^

      • ToniaK says:

Sorry emkat13 I must be missing something. I scrolled through all the messages here and see no reference to using an I-pod vs “Smart ph” for apps. I have used Cartwheel by printing it out and having cashier scan the paper. But it appears Ibotta works differently unless i am confused on yet another issue?

        • emkat13 says:

It may be getting thrown into moderation so if by some chance it doesn’t get on here just google “what devices does ibotta support” and it has all the details I think you’ll need including ipod

  48. emkat13 says:

Although these bonuses and offers were great and right up most any couponers stockpiling alley, It isn’t so easy having to triple check that you aren’t missing any steps between 3 or 4 bonus offers and the single offers themselves as well. Making sure you’re buying such and such products on this day then something else on the next day or so to satisfy the requirements. It just makes me wonder if there was an easier way for Ibotta to pull this off with less confusion. Maybe their customer service overtime, (because you know they’re getting bombarded with issues) will also have a “how can we make this a smoother/easier ride for next time/troubleshoot/what worked and what didn’t” type of meeting. lol…I am however, enjoying the dizziness, its a monkey of a deal!

    • cat13 says:

I had the same thought– given all of the problems, by the time I added in the cost for the IPs, the additional cost of buying name brands, having to get things I don’t even need in order to make the 10 offers requirement the cost for the gas, the cost for the time…it’s a LOT of outlay for something that seems to have a higher than expected risk of failure…but maybe other people will have better luck :)

  49. Karina Baygulov says:

How do you submit an Autumn stockup or other deals.. I though Ibotta does it for you automatically on your behalf after the little circle is all filled up.

  50. Sarah Mercado Magboo says:

You guys are awesome! I like this scenario better than the one from yesterday…for all of us that does not have kids. I leave the wipes in my car & use it a lot for camping.

  51. Leslie says:

I have a question about transaction 1 – why are there two scott bath tissues listed? Is there something I don’t know?

  52. Laurie McMahon says:

why do they have to be on seperate days?

  53. nandranie says:

i load the ibotta to my phone and when picking my item I scan the barcode to make sure its the right 1. I did the walmart deal target is a little far. doing the kleenex tomorrow. I didn’t had a coupon for the scott wipes maybe it was regional.

  54. Cheri Mathews says:

***Hi Guys, I have been reading over on Ibotta’s FB page… quite a few people are complaining about the Cottenelle, Scotts & such, here is Ibotta’s response: “We
are working really hard to add any missing UPCs, we just need you to
send them to us! Email them to support@ibotta.com and we can manually
review them. They will also be able to help you out with your Bonuses
too.” It appear they do not have all the UPCs for all the sizes of the items. I posted a question about the Scotts Natural and/or Extra Soft, hope to get a response soon. They did respond to an Extra soft question & it does appear it does count for the Ibotta. Waiting for them to respond to my question 1st though. HaPpY CoUpOnInG!

  55. Eric A. says:

I never purchase anything through Paypal. Considering that Paypal asks for your bank account number when registering, is it possible to transfer my Paypal rewards from Ibotta into my bank account?

    • Cheri Mathews says:

Do you mean you want to bypass PayPal all together? Or do you mean you want to use PayPal and transfer your Ibotta from PayPal to your bank account? I believe you can do either. I don’t think you “have to” get PayPal to deposit your Ibotta into your bank account. If you use PayPal for Ibotta however you can transfer your Ibotta from PayPal to your bank account, it takes about 3 business days(I think, I have not done it yet with Ibotta, it may be instant). I have been using PayPal for about 12 years and never had any problems. It is very safe & secure. HaPpY CoUpOnInG!

  56. Amber says:

Do you have to do transaction #1 in order to do transaction #2? Newbie here :)

  57. Carolyn says:

I want to do this deal but it sounds so confusing….so you have to go back on two different days?

    • Melissa Bywalski says:

yes, one of the bonuses (an extra $5 to redeem) is if you purchase at least 2 of the items on 2 separate days (so 2 items Monday and 2 items Tuesday) that’s why there is 2 different transactions.

      • Lindsay Hitchcock says:

Actually, you just have to SUBMIT the offers in 2 different days. I would put one day’s items on one transaction, and the second day’s on another transaction (but buy the same day). Then submit receipt #1 when you get home and receipt #2 the next day.

  58. royalkitty says:

I worked out (almost) the same scenario, adding huggies wipes, because you were missing one item (i think the scott toilet paper was a repeat), at walmart with your prices from the previous posts and some online sleuthing, and it came out to 11.86 for old customers and 1.86 for those with a share the love bonus. Hope I’m right, this ibotta deal is confusing. :)

  59. LK KS says:

Thanks for the info. Question, why do we have to buy 2 Scott tissue packages under your scenario?

  60. gdbadiang says:

So I went and purchased the 1st transaction at target, I scanned my receipt with the ibotta app.(first time to redeemed).. It said it will take 24 hours needed To verify purchase?..is this how it should be?..and none of the bonuses unlocked for me.should I wait until purchased is verified since I am new to it!?..thanks guys, really appreciate it.

    • liz says:

Ibotta says it’ll take 24 hours, but usually my purchases are verified within 30 minutes. The most I think it’s been was a couple hours. The bonuses will show as partially completed once the purchase is verified. You’ll receive the bonus money when the bonuses are fully complete (ie kitchen and bath and freshen up with the first purchase, autumn stock up and $20 for 10 offers after the second transaction).

And I’m not sure what you’re asking to wait for? Maybe to wait until the first transaction is verified to go to target to do the second transaction? I’d guess by tomorrow your purchase will be verified, but even if not, you’ll be fine to do the second transaction, because they are separate receipts/redemption requests for ibotta. I cannot yet vouch for the validity of the transactions by kcl above, but I trust that they work :)

      • gdbadiang says:

I haven’t done the second transaction since the instruction said yo be done in a separate days.. But atleast I should have able to get The 10 dollars bonus as a new user since I purchased 8 qualifying products already or The 2 dollar bonus go baby hug..

How will I submit those bonuses?..doesn’t it automatically unlocked once receipts were scanned?

  61. Holly says:

It looks like you left the huggies coupons in this transaction, but did not buy any huggies wipes!?

  62. Mandy K says:

So frustrated! I bought the Scott bath tissue and keeps saying bar code does not match. Bought the exact one listed in the transaction. I also cannot get the Cottenelle bath tissue to scan, it keeps coming up as the flushable wipes, tried scanning the flushable wipes and see if it would work, did not :(. Emailed Ibotta hoping they apply my credits and also apply to my bonuses…. Anybody else having issues??? I seen some on the Cottenelle on another post, just wondering about the Scott. I purchased the extra soft, 24 ct. Ibotta has the picture of the reg. but I don’t see any specifications….

    • CharlieC says:

Hey, sorry about your problems. My girlfriend and I have learned something with ibotta, never ever checkout, without having scanned your items to make sure they are accepted by ibotta. It allows you to check each item by scanning the bar code; do this before you put each item in the cart. You are correct, the Cottenelle bath tissue scans as the wipes and while the regular wipes in the dispenser scan as not matching the offer, if you had purchased the refills instead, those would have scanned as if they were the bath tissue. Others have also posted that even though the bath tissue for Scott is not specific, the Extra Soft will scan as not matching the offer. Scott natural also will not scan for the paper towel combo purchase. There are times where I’ve gotten what’s in the picture and it shows as not matching so, always be sure to scan first. you can contact them to have them fix it but, I always figure why go through that extra hassle when you can just make sure it works before you buy it all.

      • Mandy K says:

Thanks, had no idea I could do that, was just following KCL’s transaction example…. I have emailed them to see if they can credit it manually. I am hoping so since I spent a lot of time making sure I was getting everything specifically and reading Ibotta vs. the transaction and triple checking to make sure there were not any specifics listed on Ibotta, etc, etc…

      • Bethany says:

I am having the exact same issue. Also my Colgate Total toothpaste won’t scan. I looked through the “qualifications” and everything I bought matches exactly. Once I scanned my receipt I clicked report an issue and told them I better get the credit! Hopefully it works!

      • Charity says:

How do you scan the item before you take a picture of the receipt?

      • giraffe says:

        that’s a great idea, thanks.

    • Marissa says:

Just write to Ibotta and tell them. I did that a few months ago because I had bought a bonus-size product and they asked me try to scan it one more time because they are constantly updating barcodes. It worked! If not they will manually review your receipt and product(s) purchased and then credit your account that way.

    • Maria says:

I also had a bad time with viva paper towels i puchased the 8/10 pack not the 8/12 pack my mistake and also crest advance whitening so I missed those because they had to be on the same recept. But today I did learn about how you could scan the UPC before making the purchase , lost some of the discounts but learned a lesson. New to couponing but loving it.

    • Melissa Bywalski says:

I had the same issue with the Cottonelle TP/Wipes. I scanned the receipt with the other products and wrote them stating the Cottonelle wouldn’t scan properly, Ibotta credited me for that deal as well as finishing one of the bonuses since they could see that I purchased the cottonelle and wipes. I hit Walgreens on Friday night, they had a bunch of the stuff on deals with the August monthly coupon book.

    • stefyloaiza says:

Same happened to me…I emailed them to see if it works!

    • maggie says:

i went to target and too got the same dillema. my cottoelle didt work or my scotts extra soft bath tissue or my colgate. bummer going to have to return it tomorow and scan everything before i leave to make sure it works.

Mandy K. I am having trouble with the Laura’s Lean Beef. I too had to check with Ibotta to see if they can fix it.

      • tharrison004 says:

I’m having the same problems with Ibotta,i contacted them about 10 imes now,i get these emails saying someone will contact me soon, they better i’m getting ready to take everything back to the store.I check every single item in the store before i bought it,and everything match, then i get home, and scan the receipt, and all the items, and some go threw fine, and some don’t.The ones that are giving me trouble are the ones that are combo offers, one goes threw, and the other one won’t.

    • Rebecca Drummond says:

yep! my cottonelle tp and wipes did not work although it was exactly what they posted.

  63. Jeanne says:

I just gave up, so far I have completed some of them, but is too much thinking and spending if I don’t have the correct coupons, yesterday I went to Target, used cartwheel and MQ and forgot the Optic toothbrush so I returned them, Today I went to Walmart, got the combos for Kitchen & Bath Bonus and instead of getting the individual Kleenex, I bought the multipack, so when I scanned it didn’t work for the combo, but scanning worked for the individual Kleenex, so I lost my Kitchen & Bath bonus because combo has to be on the same transaction the same day, I can’t keep up, sorry. Good luck to everybody else.

  64. court says:

do we have to buy the depends in order for the deal to work (transaction 2) or can i just buy the kotex and poise?

    • Lauren says:

I’m planning to go to walmart and buy the scott natural wipes. I think that will still fulfill the 10 item requirement.

    • You don’t have to buy the Depends but you do have to replace it with another offer to qualify for the $20.00 bonus. Target doesn’t carry the Scott cleansing cloths or Scott paper towels but you could purchase those items at a different participating Ibotta store. I hope that helps!

      • Carolyn says:

Can I buy another pack of tampons instead or the poise pads?

        • BillieJeanB says:

No unfortunately ibotta is only good on one item per phone. But since my entire 15 items was a money maker, I am just donating a few things that I don’t need.

      • Lindsay Hitchcock says:

Oh, they don’t carry them at all? Interesting. I guess I will have to go to two stores then.

      • Holly says:

Our Target carries Scott natural 10 pack of paper towels. I have submitted it to ibotta to see if they will accept it as the barcode does not work.

      • Irania donis says:

hello! could someone help me with the transaction two. I really have no need for the diapers and I already did everything from transaction one just as it said here. Is there something else I could get and still get the autumn stock up?

  65. rachel says:

totally love what you do. I will vote each day especially since I check the site everyday.

  66. Courtney says:

Question: Can I do Transaction 1 and 2 the same day and then submit for Transaction 2 on the next day? I live pretty far away to go back the very next day.

    • You have to do the separate transactions on separate days to qualify for the Autumn Stock Up bonus. If you have a store that carries the same items in transaction 2 then it may be worth saving your gas for the second trip.

      • BillieJeanB says:

Actually I bought everything on Saturday but submitted my last receipt on Sunday and got the $5 & $20 bonuses just fine. The ibotta stated, “redeem 2 or more of these offers on 2 separate days”. It didn’t say purchase on 2 separate days.

      • Tara Lynn Zschokke says:

Follow-up question- can you do Trans 1 at Target and trans 2 at Walmart? I also live about 30 mins from Target but very close to walmart. May be worth missing out on the one target coupon from the second trans.

  67. Hollie says:

Maybe you could do an lbotta deal sometime that doesn’t require insert coupons (just online printable) for us that don’t get the paper! :) Just sayin’, that would be nice for us printer coupon gals only!

    • Jen says:

      Hollie,
I’m sure you can get the paper in any of your local stores so it’s probably not much of a burden to run to the store and buy a paper. If you choose not to use the paper to save additional money then just skip over the deal. It’s probably much easier for us to skip over something that doesn’t personally work for us, then to ask for someone to change the way they post things. Just sayin’!

    • We try to include as many printable coupons as are available.

    • Courtney says:

I found all but 3 printable coupons online. Go to the product website ;)

  68. rjszum says:

what’s the difference between the Ibotta and Cartwheel?

    • emkat13 says:

Target offers the Cartwheel savings “program” and ibotta is an app unaffiliated with Target that you use on your smartphone.
Cartwheel discounts things in Target stores using your facebook to sign in. They have discounts on virtually everything in their store.
Ibotta however is an app as I stated and it gives you money back directly into your paypal account when you buy the products listed in the app. Once you have purchased the items, you’;; take a picture of your receipt and scan the product barcode then submit it through the app to get money back.

  69. ontiverovm says:

I don’t understand why it would be different for NEW ibotta users and people who have already used Ibotta. Am I missing anything?

  70. Lauren says:

You guys are the best! Thank you =)

    • You’re welcome Lauren!

      • tharrison004 says:

        • giraffe says:
