I tried this yesterday and like others my 2nd coupon beeped. She went and modify the price of the shampoo down to $2.50. Little did I know, both bottles rang up full price for $3.99. So when I went back up there to explain to them that they owe me an additional $1.98, the manager didn’t understand because one rang up $3.99 and one rang up $2.50. It was big mess that I wasn’t going to argue over since my whiny 2 yr old was with me. This could have all been avoided if the bottle rang up the sale price. I also should’ve checked while she was ringing me up.

This is kinda miss leading in the title when I clicked off face book! NOT everyone has IBOTTA! I would like to know that Ibotta is involved before you call it a freebie or money maker! Thanks

    • Sorry that you don’t like this post. Not all posts will work for all readers for various reasons, such as not having Ibotta.

Everyday I read this blog and enjoy it VERY much and APPRECIATE it very much, but everyday I am blown away at how some people want to be spoon fed every ounce of information without putting forth a little effort of their own. Next thing you know, someone will ask you to go to the store with them and hold their hand while they learn to coupon! Or perhaps that has already happened? LOL Anyway, I guess if they feel KCL is not giving them enough info they can always ask for a refund of their subscription fees. Oh wait, it’s FREE!!!!! Thanks KCL for all that you and your team do to help us save money!

I have never tried to coupon before can you recommend a simple way I should start

    • Click on the “101″ tab at the top of our site for lots of helpful tips!

    • Sara Newbie says:

I recommend picking one store to start, reading up on it through the 101 tab and the “beginners” section on top and then start small! I recently moved on to my second store and am so glad I didn’t do both at the start. This doesn’t preclude using coupons at other stores, just focus on that one. For instance, I started at Wags, but would use coupons as they applied when grocery shopping. I just didnt Krazy Coupon at the grocery store. Welcome to the world of Krazy Couponing, good luck and enjoy!!

Was that a regional coupon? I don’t see it in my insert.

I bought 10 of these on Saturday in 5 different transactions and I was super excited when I got double points in all my transactions (4000 points every 2 instead of 2000) and my register printed a $1 Catalina ON EVERY TRANSACTION! So, I bought 5 Shampoos and 5 Conditioners (that came with a sample of the Oil treatment) paid a total of $17.1 (including tax), received 20,000 points and five $1 RR(or Catalinas, I’m not sure)! a Moneymaker of $7.9 PLUS $1.25 from Ibotta!!

I bought one each of the shampoo and conditioner, tried to use two of the $1.50/1 coupons, but the second one beeped and wouldn’t take it. I went to a different register and the same happened. What did I do wrong?? Please advise!

    • The Walgreens registers have been grumpy lately! You didn’t do anything wrong. The cashier should have pushed it through since you purchased the correct product and the coupon was used correctly.

      • aimee269 says:

Thanks for the confirmation! I’m still fairly new to couponing, I didn’t want to miss out on this deal, but I also didn’t want to misuse coupons either – I’ve heard of really bad cases of coupon misuses and learned that it affects all of us in one way or another.

        • Sara Newbie says:

Thanks for being considerate about misuses-it is so refreshing to see! I hate it when it beeps as I question myself all the time and worry too… I don’t want to give a bad representation of Couponers or break rules but I don’t want to miss out! Enjoy couponing!!

      • amiko says:

Very grumpy! This happens to me 3 times in a row now. Started 2 weeks ago I believe. I always need to go back inside the store because I was overcharged. My coupons was not in my receipt and even my register rewards BUT they have them. Now, it’s a MUST to check my receipt inside my car before I leave the store. I even carry my coupon policy ( just in case). Some cashier’s sounds smart when they explain to you something about “coupons”, but they don’t know that I am smarter haha! ( just want to feel great). I was overcharged more than $3 ( in cash and register rewards). They have to do the whole transaction again luckily I got my money back and my register rewards. Men, I don’t work so, it’s my job not to waste even a single penny of my husbands hard-working money.
