Look for a great new Safeway coupon in your local paper. Save $10.00 on a purchase of $50.00 or more! This coupon will be in your Tuesday or Wednesday paper, depending on your area. It is usually located in the Food Day section near the Safeway weekly ad. The coupon is valid from 10/1 through 10/8. Exclusions such as alcohol, tobacco and lottery tickets do apply. I am in Oregon and get this coupon every month during the first week of the month. Check the free papers that are out this week, some have the coupon in there as well so you don’t have to buy the paper to get the coupon. It doesn’t come in the regular ad and safeway has been doing this offer for years here. In reference to the $50 threshold, I refer you to #12 on their corporate coupon policy which spells it out very nicely and even gives an example just in case you get someone who wants to do it at the end. This month I bought $85 retail, paid $5.42 OOP, and received a $2.00 OYNO Catalina from Barilla for purchasing 3 pasta sauces. This coupon every month here makes for some awesome stock up scenarios especially since it covers two ad weeks so you can decide when to use it based on what is on sale and your families needs. Have fun!

I received in the mail from my Dominicks (which is Safeway) a $10 off $50 and a $3 off $15 produce which I used on Sunday (I also received a $5 off $25 meat which I did not use because I only bought about $4 of meat). I had the $10 coupon scanned first then the $3 coupon and finally all my manufacturer coupons. Before you spend more then you might have to, ask a store manager if your $50 purchase must reached before or after coupons. I ended up with about $110 in groceries for $43 out of pocket.
