June sales are a great time to restock items you bought during some of January’s biggest sales. This is because so many semi-annual sales run during these two months. So, if you’re getting low on hand soap, or shampoo, or your toy closet needs restocking, this is the time to do it. You won’t get another swing at these semi-annual sales until the winter holidays are over.
Also, in June, watch for deals on all things that scream summer. Like fruits, veggies and frozen treats. Oh, and I’ll tell you how to get 50% off certain pet supplies too.

What to Stock Up On In June 2023
1. Cottonelle Toilet Paper at Walmart
Stocking up on toilet paper is a monthly occurrence, especially if you’ve got a big family. Cottonelle has a new look and you can get it for as low as $0.03 per square foot at their everyday low price at Walmart, no coupons needed. This works out to $12.98 for a 12-roll pack or $20.98 for 24 rolls.
Ultra Comfort (purple) is their softest and most absorbent toilet paper. It’s 3x more absorbent (versus U.S. leading value brand). And Ultra Clean (blue) is 3x stronger to provide a superior clean (versus U.S. leading value brand).
2. Razors
Summer is shorts season and you can snag $3 off through Walmart Rewards or Ibotta when you buy select Venus razors at Walmart. With the Ibotta or Walmart Rewards offer, you’ll drop the price of the Venus Miami Sunrise Deluxe Smooth Sensitive Razor and Refills (reg. $16.97) to $13.97. 3. Old Spice Men’s Personal Care at Target
Save more than $24 on Old Spice products this month at Target. For online or in-store orders, get a $5 Target gift card when you spend $25 or more on Old Spice. However, for in-store only shopping, clip two of the 10% off Circle offers and two $2/1 coupons valid on Old Spice GentleMan’s Blend in the Target app.
Again, as an in-store-only deal, use a $2/1 Old Spice Dry Spray manufacturer coupon in the Target app along with the gift card promotion. After your purchase, submit your receipt for a $5 P&G rebate. Keep in mind that the $20 threshold for the rebate is after the coupons and the gift card have been applied to your purchase.
4. Tea
National Iced Tea Day is June 10, which makes this month ideal for sales on tea products (bags, mixes, and pre-made).
If you can get tea for less than $0.75 per box, stock up! In 2022, I stacked a manufacturer coupon and an Ibotta offer to get a $2.79 box of Luzianne tea for just $0.55.
Loose tea and powdered tea mix lasts six months to a year in the pantry and one to two years in the freezer. Prepared tea will last three to five days in the fridge and six to eight months in the freezer.

5. Dairy Products
June is National Dairy Month, so you can expect to see sales on products like milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, cream cheese, and whipped cream all month long. And remember — you’ll save more if you choose savings over convenience. For instance, buy block cheese and shred it yourself, and opt for the bigger container of yogurt versus individual cups. (Unless there’s a coupon you can stack with a sale to get shredded cheaper than a block. Always calculate cost per ounce to be sure you’re getting the lowest price possible.)
In June 2022, I saw a 50% off deal on Land O’Lakes butter at Target with a Target Circle coupon.
And you can absolutely freeze dairy products, so feel free to stock up!

6. Pain Relief Medication
Stock up on pain relief medicines In June during National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month.
You’ll find savings on products like aspirin, sinus medications, and painkillers to help you rule your headaches.
Buy generic store brands and save 20% – 50% — even more when drug stores offer store coupons and promotions on their own generic lines. For instance, Tylenol is acetaminophen; Advil and Motrin are the same thing: ibuprofen. Benadryl is diphenhydramine, and Zyrtec is cetirizine.
Aside from coupons and sales, one of the easiest ways to save on meds is through mail-in rebates. Look for them on manufacturer websites or in-store as a peel-off sticker or hang tag on the item. You can also easily save by downloading rebate apps like Ibotta, Fetch Rewards, and Checkout 51.

7. Fruit and Veggies
Summer is a great time to buy produce and June also happens to be National Fruit and Veggie Month.
Stock up on all your favorites, then can or freeze them for months to come. There are all sorts of ways to get inexpensive produce. Including CSA farms and imperfect produce options. Also, look for produce coupons offers in rebate apps like Checkout51. Check out manufacturer’s websites (like Driscoll’s) where you can get coupons and join rewards programs to save money on produce.
8. Moisturizing Hair Care
Summer sun, chlorine, and saltwater can all do a number on your hair. Whether you want to hydrate your hair and protect it or repair some damage Shea Moisture products can help. Here are some of our favorite hot-weather Shea Moisture items.

9. Frozen Treats
The first official day of summer is June 21, and retailers are itching to move their ice cream, popsicles, frozen yogurt, and more. Supermarkets aren’t the only places that have special promotions, though. Don’t forget to check drug stores like CVS and Walgreens too.
Stack in-store coupons with manufacturer coupons and sales, and when you see prices as low as $2 for a gallon of ice cream, stock up to last you through the summer and beyond. Just make sure to store ice cream and popsicles in the back of the freezer where they’ll be exposed to less air and temperature fluctuations — these cause freezer burn.
10. First Aid Kits and Supplies
Summertime means sunshine and fun, yes, but it can also mean cuts, scrapes, bites, bruises, and sunburns. Thankfully, June is a great month to stock up on first aid supplies like bandages, ointments, gauze pads, and other emergency health essentials.
For example, in 2022, Amazon offered large Band-Aids for 50% off, and then later in the month, I saw Band-Aids with Neosporin for 62% off.

11. Handsoaps
Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale is predicted to start on June 11, 2023, and you’ll find handsoaps for less than $2 each.
The Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale is the queen of June sales. In fact, it’s the event of the season. It always begins in mid-June and runs beyond the Fourth of July. During this time, prices go 75% off, especially in stores where we suggest you shop for this sale. Sale prices are not as good and shipping costs hurt your savings when shopping online.
The holy grail is a Bath & Body works coupon to stack with Semi-Annual sale 75% off prices. To get on the coupon mailing list, create an account online and add your physical address. You don’t need to make a purchase. Or if you’re at the store making a purchase, give them your address.
12. Bras, Panties, and Lingerie
Victoria’s Secret’s Semi-Annual sale which typically starts in June and lasts three to four weeks. In 2022, it ran from June 14 to July 18. You’ll find items for as much as 70% off, and the sales get deeper as the month progresses. Watch for $3 panties, $11.99 bras and don’t forget to stack coupon codes if you’re buying online instead of in store.
Tip: Shop the competitor sales during this time! Other stores like Soma, Frederick’s of Hollywood, Macy’s, Kohl’s, and Nordstrom offer specials to pull Victoria’s Secret shoppers their way.
13. Toys and Games
Whether you’re buying ahead for your own kids or stockpiling gifts for future baby showers and birthday parties, the Target Semi-Annual Toy Sale in June is just about the best time to get toys up to 70% off. Target toy clearance starts at 30% off and typically progresses to 50% off within a week, followed by 70% off in the next couple of weeks.
Settle for just 30% – 50% off some popular brands like Barbie and Lego. During this sale in summer 2022, I found a Barbie and Chelsea the Lost Birthday Party Fun Playset for $9.99 (regularly $19.99), and you better believe I snapped it right up because 50% off is incredible.
And remember, your Target RedCard will save you an extra 5% on top of the 70% clearance prices. The best deals during this sale are in-store.
14. Pet Supplies
Be sure to shop the once-a-year Chewy Blue Box Sale. It usually happens toward the end of the month and in 2023, I expect it to take place June 19 – 23.
Watch for up to 50% off dog treats and bones, along with cat and dog toys. Select cat food was 30% off in 2022. If previous years are any indication, you can plan to find the deepest savings on Chewy’s store brands, like Frisco and American Journey.
15. Bulk Shampoo and Conditioner
Liter bottles (33.8 oz) of salon-brand shampoos like Biolage, Joico, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, Redken and DevaCurl retail for $30 to $50+, which makes waiting for a sale worthwhile.
I compare sale prices between Ulta, JCPenney, and Amazon throughout the year and 40% off is about as deep as the savings ever get on these brands in the liter size, which is the best cost per ounce.
Ulta holds the Jumbo Love Event every summer starting in late June and continuing into early July. JCPenney and Amazon will sometimes price-match items in the sale. Ulta in Target locations does not have the same sale prices.

Fourth of July Sales
Both Lowe’s and Home Depot will offer sales that start at the end of June (June 23 for Home Depot; June 29 for Lowe’s) and teeter into July, in honor of the Fourth of July holiday. During this time, watch for deals on outdoor and grilling equipment, along with deals on paint.
National Donut Day: June 2
National Donut Day is always the first Friday in June. So in 2023, expect it to happen on June 2. In 2022, I saw a deal for a free Krispy Kreme donut with no strings attached and a buy one dozen, get a second dozen for $1 deal. Dunkin’ Donuts will probably give away a free donut with every beverage purchase on Donut Day.
National Smoothie Day: June 21
Watch for $4 medium smoothies at Jamba Juice, BOGO smoothies at Smoothie King, and a free smoothie with a sandwich purchase at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. All in honor of National Smoothie Day.
Father’s Day
In 2023, Father’s Day is June 18, so keep your eyes peeled for deals on men’s grooming and hygiene products, along with various Father’s Day restaurant deals.
Southwest Semi-Annual Sale
We’ve seen a low-fare sale in June from Southwest for the past few years, so we expect one in 2023. We predict it will be around June 6, but it could be the following week. Get the absolute lowest fare possible with these 26 Southwest Airlines Hacks.
Wait until July for…
School and office supplies. July is when the back-to-school season seems to kick off every year so there will be deals galore on these, along with school uniforms and backpacks next month.
