This is one of many brags for cvs that involves misinformation.

The writer of the post bought 10 of these at a price of 2/$1. This means $5 for all 10 drinks. However, the confusion is in the remark about extra care bucks. They made it sound like they got the extra bucks for purchasing the items, however, they USED $5 extra bucks if you look at their receipt… Meaning sure, nothing came out from their pocket… But they had to spend to get those $5 extra bucks from another transaction. Not really free.

It really depends on how you look at it. In my opinion I don’t look at EBCs as money I look at them as a coupon (store coupon). In this particular brag, from my point of view it’s not free if they had to pay the bottle deposit fee. Free, to me, means nothing OOP no money not even one cents involve, even after the rebates or rewards. But that’s just me. It is a great buy since summer is here ! Lol

I can definitely see your viewpoint, and as an avid CVS couponer I can agree for myself when I shop there too. However, people on this site that are beginners get so confused they need that little bit of clarification that’s all 🙂 I also love this product!

Thank you so much!!That’s exactly what I wanted to say.I hate it when people post things saying it’s free but it’s really not free because they had to use there extra bucks.I consider extra bucks as “money” so I don’t think that’s free. You nailed it with your comment…I loved it!No offense to whoever posted that “deal” but I just feel the same way as the person who posted this comment.
