45% savings and no junk, good in my book

I took KCL’s new video today to heart.. I have sometimes been the victim of just buying a deal simply because it’s cheap or I MIGHT like it (yes, I’ve stock piled things I hadn’t even tried!) So tonight I figured I’d start over on my food couponing and really try very hard on only getting things I know I will eat and that aren’t a bunch of junk like candy. I did buy dish soap, and that I don’t plan on eating ;)

Palmolive 25 oz dish soap – 2.64 clearance 2.24
Use 1/1 Palmolive 25oz or larger
= 1.24

Baby carrots 1.39

1.5LB Green seedless grapes 3.49
Use $1 off 1.5LB grapes target coupon
= 2.49

.75LB Sutton & Dodge USDA Choice Angus beef $4.01
Use 2/1 Sutton & Dodge angus beef target coupon
= 2.01 for .75lb

Market pantry pastas & pasta sauces $2.32 for both on sale $2 for both
Use 1/2 wyb MP pasta & pasta sauce
= 1.00 for both (did this deal twice so $2 for 4)

Mark Pantry Orange Juice 2.19 price cut 1.99
Use 1/1 Market Pantry refrigerated juice mobile q

Total before q’s & sales: $18.54
Total after q’s & tax: $10.28
(only paid .16 tax for dish soap, no food tax in IA)

Oh and it also printed a $3 off a $25 food purchase catalina as well, so more savings in the future.

I feel great about this purchase, even though I didn’t purchase a lot. I wanted to start small and see if I could actually do it. I feel like I can start saving on food that I’m actually going to eat and isn’t junk. And every penny I save is another penny in my pocket :)

Never miss a coupon, deal or freebie again!
