I got a happy surprise from CVS the other day, some beauty extra bucks and a 30% off coupon. These were bought in one transaction:

Two skintimate shaving creams regular price $3.49, buy two get $3 extrabucks
One Argan oil moisturizer regular price $14.99, buy one get $6 extrabucks
One Dove men dry spray antiperspirant regular price $7.99

Used 30% off regular priced items CVS coupon
Used two $1 off skintimate mfr coupon from newspaper
And used a manufacturer coupon for a free Dove dry spray antiperspirant which was given to me at Walmart when I got an oil change
Used $13 extrabucks from last week

paid $1.14 in tax and walked out with $9 extrabucks 😀

I don’t understand how that is a moneymaker. You used more ECB and $ than you got back.


A tip my friend: when you calculate your savings, you don’t count your ECBs from your previous purchase. So just use your subtotal before previous ECBs and subtract your newly printed ECBs to get your savings total. Your $1.14 is your OOP (out of pocket) with your $13 previous ECB. 🙂 Good finds!! I have to go get that shaving cream deal


Thinking the same thing. Guess it depends how you look at it. Not a moneymaker in my book


I counted it as a moneymaker because I randomly got $5 extrabucks sent to my app which cost me nothing, so I guess I should have said it was a $1 moneymaker ($13-5=8 and I made $9) and I don’t usually count tax with these things

Either way… What’s with all the negative feedback on this app? I thought this was supposed to be about celebrating each others triumphs?
