I went to CVS today just for the gas deal. I had never done it before but decided to give it a whirl. I had it added up and before coupons I had a total of $30.97. After coupons it should have been $23 + tax. Here’s what I got:
2 Ragu @ $1.67= $3.34
4 Skippy @ $1.67=$6.67
4 Tresseme @ $3.50=$14
1 Fructis $4.99
2 cokes @$.99=$1.98
Total should have been $30.97
Somehow it came out to $26.35 + tax
Then I had $8 worth of coupons and $5 ECBs
I paid $13.35 OOP
Im not sure why it didn’t ring up correctly but the most confusing part is a the end of the reciept it said that I had only earned $16.97 toward the gas card promotion. ALL of the products I bought were under the gas deal in the ad this week. What did I do wrong? I didn’t have time to figre ut out because I was already running late for something, but I was excited about this and now Im just disappointed 🙁
