First of all, thank you to all of you who send your expired coupons to military families overseas, as we are able to use manufacturer’s coupons for 6 months after the expiration date! You have no idea how much this helps when one spouse had to leave a good job in the USA (reducing two-income families to single-income families) to follow the military member to an overseas duty location where grocery prices are a whole new kind of astonishing in the expensive way! While we don’t have the option to make the giant hauls from the drug stores or to take advantage of awesome sales from the “big box” stores, we can occasionally do pretty well at the commissary with the free expired coupons we receive from kind couponers Stateside.
And now for my coupon bragging, using exclusively EXPIRED (but not more than 6 months expired) coupons at the local base commissary in Okinawa, Japan!!!
