I know it’s not a lot of product, but I found that for me at least, it’s better to go for only a few things to get my numbers right and not over spend. I’m new at couponing.

Everything I got retails for 37.25. I walked out of there paying $7.75 OOP before taxes AND got $8 ECBs for next week. I did start with $4 ECB from last week, so take that into account.

What I got and what I did:

TRANSACTION #1

1 Hershey’s chocolate caramels, reg. 4.78, sale —–$3.78

used $2/1 CVS coupon from the magic coupon machine—$2.00-

used $1/1 MFR from insert——$1.00-

2 Colgate Total 360 toothbrushes, reg 4.99, sale 2.99——$5.98

used 2 MFR $1/1——-$2.00-

Subtotal $4.77

used $3 ECB from last week

Paid $1.77 OOP before taxes

Received $4 ECB (buy 1 Colgate Total 360 manual brushes or toothpaste, get 2 ECB, limit 2)

TRANSACTION #2

2 Bags of Heavenly Light Popcorn on sale 10/$10 ——-$2.00

used 1 CVS coupon from CVS.com $2/2——————$2.00-

2 Colgate battery operated toothbrushes on sale from 8.99, 6.99 ea—-$13.98

used 2 MFR $2/1 from an insert (sorry, I don’t keep track of dates)—$4.00-

Subtotal: 9.98

Paid with $4.00 ECB from transaction 1

Paid $5.98 (before taxes) OOP

Received $8.00 in ECB for next week (Buy 1 Colgate Battery Operated toothbrushes, get 4 ECB, limit 2)

Total OOP at CVS: $7.75 before taxes

Total take-home ECB: $8.00

Like being paid $.25 to take it all home! (Remember I had $3 in ECB from last week)
