Ok! Some I wanted to know how to coupon and I found these two KRAZY LADIES! 😉 I learned what I know in 3 days read all their tips, watched most the videos and saw your brags. So here is my first one. I am kinda bummed because I didn’t walk out with a huge haul/savings as I wanted. But I saved over $6. Someone told me to start small and feel it out. Its difficult because you have to get everything to a T. By oz, size and quantity which frustrates me because I feel I am doing it all wrong, or at the wrong store. I have a huge binder filled with coupons 4 stores to visit next week and hoping for a better result. I clipped, and printed my coupons, read and saved policies, downloaded all the rebate and price match apps too! Think im ready to go crazy. .. But where I go it don’t seem like I am making a huff difference in my pocket. Any advice? Am I expecting to much? Is their a certain store to focus on … My main goal is to stock and save on household, food and baby. Any advice helps!! So at this trip I had 3 coupons. I purchased a on clearance fabreez candle for $2.50 -$1.50 getting it for $.50. I also purchased 4 adjustable air fresheners for $.98 and got 2 free. And a 50lb bag of dog food at $22.98 – $3.50 In a coupon I paid $19.45 for it. Total $31.36. OOP $24.40 was this a good trip? What did I do right or wrong? Did I save? I feel as if I expected more… Idk! HELP!!! Xoxo- beginner

In my opinion, any savings is worth it. I remember an episode of Extreme Couponing in which the lady said, “thou shall not pay full price,” which is how I always think when I shop. You didn’t pay full price…you saved some money!

It’s not easy! And it’s time consuming. I always cut & paste the KCL directions into a document and print it based on the store I am going to. Then if the cashier won’t take it (or the coupon is rejected by management for some ridiculous reason), I tell them to keep whatever it is as I can live without most of these purchases! Or go somewhere else! Then I throw that paper away and start over when I go to new store or shopping again. Always check ibotta and checkout 51 as sometimes KCL leaves these out. :-). Hang in there — there is definitely a learning curve!

I never shopped target because I thought it was too pricey. Now with KCL, I walk outta there with boatloads of awesome deals and gift cards for next time (it’s so fabulous). Keep your chin up!

Thanks!!! I am definitely gonna try Target. I am glad I am not the only one who felt this way. 🙂

To maximize your savings, it really pays to learn the sales cycle to match the best coupons with best sales prices. Before I start couponing, I used to get everything (except fresh foods and meat) at Walmart. Not anymore, I had to change my shopping habits to get the most out of my coupons. For me, I get all my personal care items at Walgreens and CVS. With bonus points and ECB, I can usually get everything I need and only pay the taxes after coupons. Don’t get discouraged, your saving will start to add up. Believe me it’s worth it. I will never go back to paying full price for anything.

In my opinion you did good. Maybe you feel like you paid too much because of the dog food. When I started couponing, I focused on CVS first. To me, it was easier. After a few weeks I started at Walgreens, but cashiers at my Walgreens are very rude so I stopped there and went to Rite Aid. Right now I coupon at CVS, Rite Aid and Target, sometimes Dollar Tree. I also set a budget for every week, for couponing, non food items. I spend $10 cash every week including tax. But remember that you have accumulated ECB, points, and GCs. Try to start with the MM deals first, if you do not want to spend alot of cash. Always keep in mind that some coupons will not go thru, some cashiers will make it hard to coupon. Also, I always write down my shopping trip plan A & B in case something goes wrong. Don’t give up (:
