It states on the Gain FB page from the Gain people that the 10oz size is travel sized.

Challenge management to prove it’s a travel. Or trail size. The 3/3 coupon for gain and 1/1tide simply clean. Are in redplum 7/10 on Tha back page. They can’t .

Why does dollar tree say that these gain are trial size there 10 Oz not 1 load

It is not true or not work in my store. I went and the manager say this one it is travel size.

What Tide coupon does not exclude the 10oz tide?? I’ve done the gain deal before, help me to do the Tide one

I went to DG to try this.
Didn’t work on the tide. I bought 6 bottles of the gain and only one of the coupons out of two worked. And I tried to tell the cashier okay then I just wanted three of the bottles. And she proceeded to tell me that then the coupon that went through won’t work. And I was like yes it will. It states three off three so I just wanted the three bottles instead of 6. Insteading of srgueing anymore I just bought all 6 and left. COUPONING AT DOLLAR GENERAL IS A PAIN IN MY KEISTER.

Omggg yess! Is it just me or is Dollar General some how worse than Dollar Tree?? I had a Dollar general lady tell me that my news paper coupon was a Dollar general coupon because they accepted it???????????????? just know your stuff and stand your ground!!

Did not work for me

I did that at dollar tree too!! They gave me a hard time. Said those were trial size and I had to argue with them. Then they tried to tell me that I couldn’t use the $3/3 coupon because it was more than a dollar. The policy clearly states that the coupon is usable.

So were you able to get them Kristen?

Reply

Same happened to me, couldn’t get them

Not sure about the Gain but if you go onto Tide’s Facebook page- they clearly have posted in the comments on there that these sized detergents are TRIAL size and that you cannot use the coupon on them. So did these actually go through for you or did the cashier have to type them in manually?

Then why do most tide coupons exclude trail/travel size AND the 10oz?? That would mean that they are 2 different things… Also what do the people running Tides Facebook know?? (Not to be rude)

Reply

Idk? But that’s what they have posted on there. I mean I would love for it to work lol I’m all about some free detergent but it sounds like this is going to be a hard argument to win in the store.

When I did it with the gain (I’ve yet to see a Tide coupon that doesn’t exclude the 10oz tide) I grab a manager at dollar tree and show them a Regular Tide coupon, I point out that it it excludes the 10oz Tides and the trail/travel size, so that must mean that they are 2 different things. Then I pull out my gain coupon and tell them that are made by the same company and that this coupon only excludes trail/travel sized so I could it on the 10oz bottles… I had 1 lady say “OK if it scans” I just flat out said no, lots of valid coupons don’t scan?? So then she said it was fine. Hope this helps

Make them proof it

I try DG too they told me no because its consider travel size

Reply

It was in 7 10 red plum 3 off any three gain laundry detergent. . Exclude’s travel and trail… which it say’s nowhere on the merchandise
.

It has to say that it is travel or trail size on the bottle itself… challenge management. They want to be hard on coupons then don’t make it easy.. just abide by the rule of the coupon and u can stand your ground.. if it says 4 like per day per househousehold .. then go back the next day….

My DG actually has a paper taped under these saying they’re trial size and will not take a coupon lol they’re so anti-couponer..

Reply

Yes they are anti!! Ugh I hate shopping there bit I have to get the $1.50 Wisk this week!

Reply

Thanks, will try that. Been couponing for a while and DG cashiers and managers tend to be and unwielding bunch when they initially say not and don’t do override’s at all.

Reply

What tide coupons did you use that don’t exclude the 10oz tide?

Reply

Not sure where you’re from, but in TX tried using gain coupon at both dollar general and dollar tree. Neither takes it and consider that size a trial size.

Reply

Just show them a Tide coupon and that it excludes the 10oz and trail/travel size meaning that they are 2 different things

Thanks, will try that. Been coupon in for a while, and DG cashiers and managers tend to be an unwielding bunch when they initially say no.
