My trip was a little weird today. I got a mailer from CVS advertising the Accu-Check meter as on sale for $9.99 and it had a coupon for $9.99 off, making it free. It said that $9.99 was the sale price until the end of August, but when I went to the store it wasn’t signed as on sale. I checked the price at the red machine and it said $19.99. So I asked the manager about it and, after looking over the mailer suspiciously, he asked if it was something I had seen online. I told it wasn’t something I had heard about until it showed up in my mailbox. I’m not sure what difference it would make if I had seen it online, but I digress. He ended up honoring the $9.99 sale price for me so I was able to get it for free with the coupon.

My husband was happy to see the Pepsi deal! The Pepsi vs Coke war is ongoing in our house since I prefer Diet Coke and he prefersDiet Pepsi. Diet Coke usually wins since I do the shopping. 😉 I’m going to check the other stores in my area for one more Thomas toothbrush. I was planning on giving it to our friend’s son for his second birthday with the Thomas Pillow Pet that I found in clearance at Rite Aid a few months ago, but my son got to it before I had a chance to put it away!
