Lipton tea bags, $2 @Dollar General

Justina Inez Lewis
Lipton tea bags, $2 @Dollar General

This seems to be an unadvertised sale, website posts $3.60 as reg price. I noticed a tearpad of what seem to be Dollar General Store coupons (does not state MC, but appears to be printed by Lipton and has instructions for DG cashier and states ‘not valid with any other ‘Dollar General coupon’ offer’), so my shelftag states reg $3.50, but it rang up as an unadvertised sale at $3.25. ok, then the DG coupon should be handed over first (per instructions on the coupon) $0.50/1, down to $2.75, then if you snagged the $0.75/1 any Lipton tea product (good til 9/30, I don’t see a new one out), then this deal goes to just $2. This is actually my stock up price for Lipton 100ct, close to half off, perfect timing also because my last purchase of 4 boxes @ $2 each was down to the last box. We are ready for summer sun tea! I also find this tearpad coupon interesting, not just because it does not clearly state DG store coupon nor MC, but because it states ‘on any One (1) 100-ct. regular tea with a picture of the Lipton tea box, it’s too vague, someone might actually try to use it on a different brand of tea– for us, Lipton pekoe black tea is the best and only!

Dollar General’s Super Savings Saturday!

Diane93
Dollar General’s Super Savings Saturday!

IMG_20140709_001322

I always struggle to find scenarios that will work out to some good deals with the $5 off $25 purchase for Dollar General on Saturdays. This was from this past Saturday but everything aside from the Purell is regular price, so hopefully you can find some good deals and this will give you some ideas for this coming Saturday! Okay, here goes!

Bought (3) Swiffer Duster Starter Kits at $3 each. = $9

Bought (4) Firefly Peanuts 2 pk. Toothbrushes at $1 each. = $4

Bought (3) Brach’s Maple Nut Goodies at $1 each. = $3

Bought (4) Purell Hand Sanitizers at $2 each on sale. = $8

Bought (1) Sandwich Spreader at $1 for filler. = $1

This brings my total to exactly = $25.

Coupons I used:

  • $5 off $25 available on their website or app. = $20
  • (3) $2/1 Swiffer Starter Kit available on coupons.com. = $14
  • (3) $1/1 Firefly product from SS 05/04. = $11
  • (3) $1.50/1 Brach’s product from RP 05/11. = $6.50
  • (3) $2/1 Purell 8 oz hand sanitizer available when you redeem 2000 points from their loyalty program. = $0.50

I ended up paying $0.50 + tax!

A savings of $24.50! :D

I scanned my coupons this way because I knew Dollar General does not give overage. I could’ve gotten something else in place of the extra Purell and Firefly. But I intended to use another purell coupon, but it didn’t scan properly and I was fine with it because the other coupons covered it! So I took it to another DG where it scanned perfectly and I got a free bottle. :)

One of my favorite hauls ever!
