This is great info.. with 7 kids and us 2 adults, eating out gets to be very expensive and our budget can’t stretch real far.. I DO NOT do McDs, so to be able to splurge a lil on our budget and them still get a good meal is great. Even if we just get half of them free, that’s still a good deal, cause these kids can eat!!

Thanks for this post. Sometimes I just want to go eat out, but the thought of how much money we spend on a family of six makes you chose your mind.

Reply

Oops change.

Reply

Lol, I thought that it was supposed to be "makes you lose your mind". Depending on how young your kids are, many restaurants won’t really care if you bring extra food for the kids. For instance, if I go out for pizza, I bring along some carrot sticks and apple slices, which I have my son eat before the pizza is ready. I often pack a bottle of water or juice for him too. To some people, that sounds way too "cheapo". But aside from saving on money, I think it’s always best that he eats CLEAN fresh food from home. By fresh food, I mean cut up fruit and veggies that are not cooked. If you know anyone in the restaurant industry, just ask them how they handle salads.

Reply

maybe he really meant change and lose :) lol

Reply

I know exactly what you mean. A family of 6 is too expensive anyway, let alone when eating out! My kids eat me out of house and home as it is so there is rarely any money to enjoy eating out, even when today is your birthday.
