This is a pretty fantastic deal. I typically only see deals up to 50% off when they have BOGO free drinks. But I love this deal because you don't have to purchase multiple drinks.

So even if you're hanging solo, you can still get half off your Starbucks order today from noon - 6 p.m.

Starbucks half off drink offers happened every Friday through the entire month of May. Today is the last Friday in May so get into your nearest location today if you want to take advantage of this 50% off deal.

Starbucks BOGO Events

Every once in a while, you’ll see an offer in your Starbucks app for Starbucks BOGO drinks. This offer most often runs on Thursdays or weekends and with any purchase of a handcrafted beverage, you get another on the house from noon - 6 p.m.

Starbucks Summer Game: Dream Days

Beginning May 20, Starbucks launched their new summer game sweepstakes for 2024. Similar to their holiday Starbucks for Life game, Starbucks Rewards members can enter the sweepstakes daily (up to two times per day). This game and sweepstakes ends on Jun 7, 2024.

How To Play

There are multiple ways to play and win Starbucks Dream Days, visit the Starbucks Summer Game website and sign in with your Starbucks account. From there, you get one daily entry and a chance to win any of the potential prizes.

You can earn additional entries into the sweepstakes by playing a special game, or completing daily challenges and activities. These range from adding a specific amount of money to your Starbucks account to placing a Starbucks order during a specific timeframe.

You don’t even have to buy anything to play. Log in on the starbuckssummergame.com website and scroll down to the bottom of the site and click the link to "enter without making a purchase".

Check the app on Fridays for free game plays and on Mondays for double plays for more chances to win.

These Starbucks Double and Triple Star Days happen sporadically throughout the year. You earn double points on all your Starbucks purchases, helping you reach your free Starbucks goals more quickly. 

We predict you'll see a handful of Double and Triple Star Days next month. Be sure to check your app early and activate the offer so you're all set to earn your Stars during the promotions.

Starbucks Bonus Star Challenges

Starbucks also releases a sets of tasks to complete with a prize of free bonus Stars. Each account gets a different set of tasks, usually netting you 50 – 75 bonus Stars upon completion.

Ways to Earn Bonus Stars

Here are a few examples of potential challenges you’ll see in your Starbucks Rewards app. Compete the challenges in the allotted amount of time and get Bonus Star rewards.

Birthday Rewards

Make sure to enter your birthday when you sign up for Starbucks Rewards. The Starbucks birthday drink reward is a free handcrafted drink (reg. $5.95), bottled beverage (reg. $4.95), or food item (reg. $7.25) on your birthday. It’s one of the best Starbucks Rewards perks.

Most all Starbucks offers are for Starbucks Rewards members who have an active account in the Starbucks app. But what does being a member of the Starbucks Rewards Program actually get you? Unfortunately, not as much as it used to. In February 2023, the coffee chain updated its rewards program requiring more Stars for certain purchases. Coffee — which was a 50 Star item — became worth 100 Stars. That being said, this is still a very worthwhile loyalty program if you are a Starbucks fan.

You earn two Stars for every $1 spent when you add a Starbucks gift card to your Rewards account and use it to pay. Or get one Star for every $1 spent when you pay with cash or credit, using the “Scan Only” feature in the app.

Keep in mind you earn these Stars with half the amount spent when you pay with a Starbucks Card (earning you two Stars per dollar spent).

Does Starbucks still do $3 Thursdays?

I have not seen a Starbucks $3 Thursday since Thursday, Jan. 25. There have been no announcements for another $3 Thursday in the immediate future.

When can I get free Starbucks?

You’ll get Starbucks free coffee when you hit 100 Stars in the Starbucks Rewards app. Or hit 200 Stars to earn a free Starbucks handcrafted beverage.

Starbucks BOGO free events are also a prime time to score a free drink. They typically happen on Thursdays or weekends from noon - 6 p.m.

Does Starbucks offer discounts?

Yes. I frequently see discounts offered for rewards members in the Starbucks app. The offers are usually personalized and customers who visit Starbucks less frequently tend to get the better offers (as a strategy to get you back in the store).
