During their German Week event, Aldi stocks dozens of authentic German foods and specialty items on store shelves. But you’ll have to wait a little bit for the next Aldi German Week sale, which we predict will happen Sept. 18 - 24, 2024.
So what’s so special about German Week? For starters, it’s a chance to try lots of German items that you normally can’t get in Aldi stores (or in other stores, for that matter). And the prices are super reasonable, with items from $1.39 up to $4.79 during the current event.
After this sale week, the next Aldi German Week won’t happen until about the first week in May, so now’s the time to stock up on shelf-stable items and frozen goods! KCL predicts the next Aldi German Week will begin Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Aldi hasn’t officially announced the next date for their German Week, but based on what they've done in recent years, we here at KCL predict that it’ll take place Wednesday, Sept. 18, to Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024.
How do we make our prediction?
Last year, Aldi had the September edition of German Week starting on the third Wednesday in September. We fully expected a similar pattern in 2024, which would point to a Wednesday, Sept. 18, through Tuesday, Sept. 24 sale.
In 2023, Aldi’s German Week sales took place on May 3 – 9, Sept. 20 – 26, and Dec. 20 – 26. We predict similar patterns this year, with the fall and winter sales taking place starting the third Wednesdays of September and December.
Look for all sorts of "Deutsche Küche" brand products that are exclusive to Aldi.
The star of Aldi German Week is the Deutsche Küche brand, which is exclusively sold at Aldi stores in the U.S.
You’ll find Deutsche Küche products like pretzels, spaetzle, schnitzel, and strudel for sale during German Week. These products are all reasonably priced, too — with some starting at $1.39.
The sale always includes savory items, German snacks, pantry staples, and authentic desserts.
You can expect to find a range of authentic snacks like Doppelino cookies, peanut puffs, Spritz cookies, and strudels. Of course, there are German staples like pork schnitzel and chicken schnitzel, but also cream cakes and German bread made from traditional recipes.
Basically, you’ll want to check the freezer cases as well as the Aldi Finds aisle, as the German goodies will pop up in more than one place.
