Mayor Beiter proclaims May 8th as National Public Garden Day, and we are celebrating at the Idaho Botanical Garden. In observance of National Public Garden Day, we are open and free from 10 a.m. to dusk to everyone, so tell your neighbors and come visit the Garden. National Public Gardens Day was created to education and raise awareness of the importance of building sustainable environments through improved plant management and water conservation. Come visit the representatives from Western Supply, who, in cooperation with the Rain Bird Corporation, will have information from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. focusing on water conservation and water management, including a free consultation for people who wish to set up a drip irrigation system. Information will be available about creating a drought tolerant garden, including recommended plants. Come tour the Lewis and Clark Native Plant Garden, and enjoy a beautiful day in Idaho!
