One of the best ways stores can improve overall service is through customer feedback. If you have a poor experience with a policy or store employee, don’t be afraid or lackadaisical about taking it up with store managers or corporate offices. We cannot expect stores to make improvements if we don’t report problems and offer suggestions. Retailers want to know what they can do to get and keep your business.
On the flip side, make sure you provide positive feedback, too. If you have a preferred store location, one that is particularly coupon-friendly or accommodating, please send positive comments to corporate headquarters. If you have knowledgeable and kind checkers, tell their manager how impressed you are. As with any of us, retailers love to hear that their efforts are acknowledged and appreciated. When they are commended, they are more likely to keep doing what makes their customers happy.
Check a store’s website or the back of your receipt for instructions on providing feedback. As a plus, many stores offer special coupons or a sweepstakes/giveaway entry when you do so.
