It's time to revamp the living room space with practical, yet fun, modern items.  I like to stay on a budget because I am always changing the décor in my home.  My husband jokes that if you stand still too long in our house I will paint you too! So with these great knock-offs I found, I’ll be able to move on to another room in no time!

I always like to start with the largest pieces of furniture, as they tend to anchor the room. So for the living room, I started with a sofa. has the Acme Black Pu Adjustable Sofa for $362.05 with free shipping.  The great feature about this sofa is that it also converts into a bed, so when family visits from out of town, we’ll be able to sleep 2 here instead of 1. Walmart carries a very similar Ameriwood Industries Julia Black Faux Leather Futon with Cupholder in Black for $249 (free shipping if you pick-up at your local store).  Not only does this sofa convert into a bed, but the center piece folds down to use as a table.  With this piece I’ve saved money AND eliminated the need to buy an end table! Wahoo!

Now that I have a sofa, I need a bookshelf to hold all my treasures.  I really like Target’s Manhattan Ladder Bookcase, which is $199.99 with free shipping.  It has 5 shelves, is made of hardwood and is available in an espresso finish.  I love the way, like a ladder, it leans against the wall, giving it a contemporary twist.  Amazon's Poundex 5-Tier Leaning Wall Shelf looks nearly identical and is made from hardwood, as well.  The only difference: it’s black.  The Poundex shelf retails for $61.49 and ships free.  Black matches the sofa better anyway!

With a sofa and a bookcase found, all I need now is one more defining piece for the room.  I decide to go with a new floor lamp.  I absolutely love Macy's Addesso Lighting, Director Floor Lamp for $411.00.  It has a modern design with 3 angled legs, a round drum shade, and is available in a black metal finish.  I found what I think is the SAME LIGHT, Adesso Director Floor Lamp, at Meijer for $172.49.  This isn't quite a knock-out knock-off, but it sure shows the power of shopping around!

My total living room remodel:

Knock-Out Price: $973.04 | Knock-Off Price: $482.98

That's more than 50% off!! I hear the next room calling my name.
