With fall knocking at my door, it's time to start cooking those warm comfort foods, good for the stomach and the soul. Some things are just necessities in the kitchen to make preparing these foods a breeze. Today I share with you the knock-offs that help me cook like a pro.

When it comes to preparing those yummy in my tummy warm comfort foods, the first thing that comes to my mind is Williams-Sonoma's Le Crueset 5 1/2-Qt. Dutch Oven, $245.00.  It’s great to throw a roast and some root vegetables into this pot and toss it in the oven. Your whole house is soon filled with luscious aromas, and by dinnertime, everyone is ready to dive in. I found that Target's Lodge Enamel Coated Cast Iron 6-qt. Covered Casserole – Red, $51.43, has many of the same features as the Le Crueset.  Just to note a few differences: the Le Crueset is completely dishwasher safe and can handle 480°F. The Lodge can be used in a dishwasher, but hand washing is recommended. It can only handle 400°F.  For a $193.57 savings, I think I can hand wash my Dutch oven!

Whether prepping vegetables for the Dutch oven or carving my steaming roast, I need a good quality cutting board. I like to leave my cutting board out on the counter in between uses so it's easily available for the next time. I fell in love with William-Sonoma's Monogrammed Carving Board, $100, because it adds both aesthetic and functionality to my counter. I found Personal Creations’ Bamboo Cutting Board, $39.99, (with free shipping on any $25 or more order) fits my criteria perfectly. I like the idea of adding a custom message to the cutting board.

Nothing beats a nice side of fresh bread in the fall!  I like to mix up the dough in mixing bowls, but I need stacking bowls to save space in my cabinets. Williams-Sonoma's Rosti Melamine Mixing Bowls, $49.95 for a set of three, is perfect for the job. However, Target's Giada De Laurentiis™ for Target® 3-pc- Plastic Bowl Set, $18.99 is perfect for my wallet. Since melamine is just a nicer way of saying plastic, the only difference between these bowls is the smallest bowl for the Rosti set is 2 qt., while the smallest bowl for Giada De Laurentiis' set is 1.5 qt.

Knock Out Price: $394.95 | Knock Off Price: $110.41

That's over a 72% savings!
