Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Read all about it:

If you’re going to be a Krazy Coupon Lady, then you need the Sunday paper. It’s pretty much the cardinal rule of couponing—other than “Thou shall not pay full price,” of course. If you don’t have an affordable subscription option in your area, before you pay $3.00 per paper or subscribe to a 7-day per week subscription, try this:

Go to Discount Newspapers and check out their newspaper delivery rates in your zip code. In some areas, you can save a significant amount of money by getting a newspaper subscription through Discount Newspapers. For example, in my area I save 33% off the cover price of my local newspaper by using Discount Newspapers. However, Discount Newspaper’s rates in other areas may offer little or no savings. You win some, you lose some—but it’s worth checking out to see.

Here’s how you find your subscription rate

  • To find subscription rates to a newspaper in your area, visit Discount Newspapers and enter your zip code in the designated box.
  • Select your desired newspaper title and subscription duration.
  • Enter your payment information and delivery address through the website's secure server. That’s it! Pretty easy, right?

As for getting your other  copies of the Sunday paper for couponing purposes, we recommend staying abreast of promotions offered by your local newspaper publisher and ocasionallly offered by daily deal sites like Groupon or Living Social, asking your non-couponing friends or neighbors for their coupon inserts from their Sunday paper, or you could go all-out and dumpster dive for discarded newspapers— a la Joanie Demer. How do you get multiple copies of the Sunday paper for less? Tell us your tips!
