Extreme Couponing Tip: Check Out Store Websites for Additional Savings

Next time you’re scouting out deals online, pay your local store’s Web site a visit to learn about extra sales and money saving coupons!

Doorbusters and Exclusive Sales
Stores run Early Bird and Doorbuster sales that often aren’t advertised in the Sunday paper. Check the home page for a heads up on exclusive deals and one-day coupons.

Printable Coupons
Look for a “Coupons” tab at your favorite store’s site to bring up a page similar to Coupons.com or Smartsource.com. This can be a good location to print off extra coupons.  Many times the printable coupons will correspond with store sales.

eCoupons
While you’re scouting out sales, check out the store Web site for a Deal of the Day (a higher value coupon only available for a day) or a free coupon, often in limited quantities. Do be aware that most stores will not allow stacking an eCoupon with a paper coupon, and eCoupons have a limit of one use per card.

Free Samples
On the Web site of my local Kroger affiliate, there’s even a section for free samples! Also look for sweepstakes and current promotions to take part in.

Shopping List
Most store Web sites that have a weekly ad available online also have a shopping list feature which allows you to add items you click on to your own list. After you’re done, you can print off the list to take with you or access it later on your phone.
