ThredUP.com is a website that allows customers to swap used kids’ clothing for other gently used items in different sizes and styles.

Essentially, it’s an online consignment shop where customers can sell the clothes their children have outgrown and buy different sizes and styles.

To Shop:

  • Join ThredUP for free.
  • Browse the site for clothing items and put them in your shopping bag.
  • When ready, check out.
  • Shipping is free for new members with the code SHIPFEB13 – good through Feb 13. Otherwise they charge a flat shipping rate of $6.95.

To Sell:

  • Join ThredUP for free.
  • Order a “clean out” bag. They are about the size of a standard laundry basket. Get a free bag by buying any item from the ThredUP community. Otherwise, they are $4.95 with free shipping.
  • Once the bag arrives, fill it as full as desired with gently used kids’ clothes.
  • ThredUP will inspect the clothing items and pay via paypal or store credit for items accepted.
