When you are able to stockpile an abundance of products for cheap or free, it's a great chance to give to those in need. And tomorrow, Saturday, May 11th is a perfect opportunity! The National Association of Letter Carriers is hosting their annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive. To join in, simply collect and bag non-perishable food items, then place the bag by the mailbox for the letter carrier to deliver to a local food bank or pantry. Great non-perishables include canned meats, soup, bottled juice, pasta, cereal and rice. Make sure not to include items that require refrigeration, are expired, or are in glass containers.

In addition, try keeping a donation box handy by your stockpile throughout the year. Put a few extra products in after shopping trips, and when the box is full, you can donate to churches, neighbors or family in need, women’s shelters or food banks.

Looking for more ways to help out using coupons? Why not become a "coupon fairy"? If you have coupons for products you aren't going to use, try and spot someone with those products in their cart at the store, then give them a few extra coupons. You can also leave coupons nearby the applicable product (or tape them on so they don't get thrown away), hand a coupon to someone in line behind you, or drop off extras at a coupon swap box. Also consider mailing your unused and expired manufacturer coupons to military families overseas who can use them up to six months past their expiration date.
