Tip # 1: Produce Coupons Are More Common Than You Think
Follow your favorite produce companies to be the first to know when a new coupon is released!
- Driscoll's Berries
- Del Monte (Pineapple)
- Dole Bagged Salads
- Earthbound Farm
- Wholly Guacamole
- Fresh Express
- Birds Eye
Tip #2: Coupon Online in Your Pajamas
Don’t be afraid to buy groceries and household products online. Use a sales price, coupon code, online eCoupon and cash back together to maximize savings!
Tip #3: Put Your Phone to Work and Save Big
Access the Ibotta app to increase savings. Ibotta is a smartphone app that allows users to earn money by purchasing participating products, even when manufacturer and store coupons are used. The money earned is paid via paypal.
Tip #4: Stack Your Savings
Learn that coupons can be used together to maximize savings. Most of the time a manufacturer coupon, a store coupon and a store promotion are allowed on one item. Together they make for the perfect savings storm!
Tip #5: Groceries Have Sale Cycles
Every month hosts a new variety of items that go on sale. June happens to be the perfect time to stock up on school supplies and summer foods. Think: summer lunches for kids, condiments, and more. The prices are as low as they will go all year.
Tip #6: Use Coupons on Clearance Items
Grocery stores usually have a clearance section or aisle. Target actually has a national markdown schedule. If shopping at Target on Monday, visit the fresh price cuts on the kids’ clearance racks. On Tuesday, head to women's apparel. Wednesday, make sure to look through the health and beauty products. Thursday, peruse the home aisle. And Friday, stop by cosmetics and jewelry.
Tip #7: Find Groceries at Drugstores
Drugstores are good for more than prescriptions, vitamins and makeup. Discover amazing deals on groceries too.
Tip #8: Discover Organic and Gluten Free Coupons
Saving money on specialty foods is a reality. Simply access manufacturer websites and facebook to score coupons on your favorite organic and gluten free varieties.
- Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt, Only $0.50 at Dollar Tree!
- Glutino’s Gluten Free Chips, Only $0.78 at Walmart!
- Amy’s Frozen Entrees $1.50 at Target
- Schar’s Gluten Free Hazelnut Wafers, Only $0.67 at Walmart!
