Welcome back for week three of The Krazy Coupon Lady’s back-to-school deals! This year, in addition to the back-to-school deals we share every Sunday (and in lieu of back-to-school videos), we’re publishing this weekly post—a best-of B2S shopping list! Follow this guide every week, and you’ll have more than enough school and office supplies to last the rest of the year! These prices are valid 7/21 – 7/27.

Office Depot

Office Depot Eraser Caps Package, 12 ct $0.10

Limit 3
We saw these on sale often last summer: twice for quarter, once for a nickel, twice for a penny and once for free with a minimum purchase. Phew! These come in handy about halfway through the school year when all the classroom pencil erasers are worn down.

Office Depot 2-Pocket Paper Folder $0.10

Limit 10
For 2012, Walmart’s school season price on 2-pocket paper folders was $0.15, while at the office supply stores, they were a dime once, a nickel once, and a penny or free three times, always with a limit of ten. This is a good stock-up price that doesn’t require a minimum purchase like the free and penny deals do.

OfficeMax

After $5.00 Minimum Purchase, excluding Max Value Items, Limit 5

OfficeMax Glue Sticks, 2 ct $0.01

After $5.00 Minimum Purchase, excluding Max Value Items, Limit 2
Glue sticks are a stock-up price at $0.10 each or less, so this is an excellent deal at a penny for two! Last year, we saw four-pack glue sticks for $0.50 ($0.13 a stick) four times last year and once so far this year. During July and August 2012, Walmart’s store brand was $0.25 for 3 sticks ($0.08 a stick).

Single Woodcase #2 Pencil $0.01

After $5.00 Minimum Purchase, excluding Max Value Items, Limit 20
The penny pencil deal is back! We recommend cashing in on the multipurpose paper or Post-It deals to reach your minimum purchase threshold.

Another great paper deal is back! MaxPerk Bonus Rewards are similar to drugstore rewards: you pay the base price out of pocket, then receive store credit to use on a future purchase. MaxPerks are issued monthly or quarterly, depending on the account type you sign up for. Last year, we saw paper thirteen times for $1.00 or less after rewards or rebates and four times already this year!

Use $2.00/1 – Post-It Super Sticky Notes, purchase $10 or more, one coupon per day – (scotchbrand.com)
Final Price: $2.50 each, when you buy 4, or $0.50 per pad
For sticky notes, we look for $0.50 or under per pad for generic or store brands and $0.60 for the Post-It brand, so this is a great stock-up price!.

OfficeMax Compact Stand-Up Stapler $3.00
Standard staplers like this one range from $3.00-$5.00 during back-to-school season. Mini staplers will be on sale for $1.00 throughout the summer.

Duck Brand Poster Putty, 2 oz $1.00

Limit 2
This poster putty is a great price at just a dollar. OfficeMax sells this same product for $2.49, and Walmart sells a 5-pack for $10.00, or $2.00 per 2 oz package.

Crayola Colored Pencils, 12 ct $0.99

If you’re looking for name brand, this is a good time to buy. The lowest price we saw last year for these was $0.97 at Walmart.

Bic Highlighters, 4 ct $1.00
$1.50/2 – Bic Stationery Products – (facebook.com)
Final Price: $0.25 each

Walgreens

Crayola Markers, 10 ct $0.99
The lowest price we saw last year for the Crayola markers was $0.75 for one week. If you’re brand loyal, this is a good time to buy Crayola while it’s under $1.00

Crayola Colored Pencils, 12 ct $0.99
In 2012, we only saw these go down to $0.97 at Walmart, so this is likely one of the lowest prices you’ll see this year for the name brand. Generic or store brand colored pencils are a stock-up price at $0.50 a package.

Adventure Trails Backpack $2.99
This is a great price on a standard generic backpack. Keep in mind that these aren’t padded or backed by a lifetime warranty, but some KCL readers have reported that they were a good product for the price.
